"I might not like the idea, but then....then maybe you wouldn't have to carry me all the time, and...and maybe...I'd feel better about loving you."
He blinked.

I hmphed and looked down at him, adjusting his weight in my arms, my one arm around his back, the other under his legs. I grinned, looking back forward and gaining even more elevation, over the storm clouds.
"Then I wont say what Im thinking. Kane, I still do see myself as a defect and a monster, but thats no reason for you to ruin your life, your...future." I closed my eyes slowly and looked down at him.
"I dont see your future with me, you know. I feel as if I will push you enough, you will finally let me go, and not feel bad about it, or sad."
I let out a sigh.
"and as for getting a procedure to get wings... you shouldnt feel weired about loving me...so dont love me anymore. Its that simple. Just... love me as a friend. Your friendship....is all I need." Ihid my eyes from him and flew on.

He stuck out his tounge, wrapping his arms around her neck.
"Peh, what future? The way I'm going I'll be thirty and living with Juri and Jerry. Boy won't that be fun?" His sarcasm wasn't lost in the humorous thought of Juri marrying her boss at Okiku's.
He smiled and kissed Risa gently, just long enough so that she didn't lose her balance.
"Maybe you'd push me far enough to make me do that...if you were normal that is." He chuckled.
"But you're not, you're special..to me and everyone that loves you." He sighed and looked out over the city below them.
"Risa..." He brushed her hair out of her eyes to look at them quizzically.
"Is that what you really think?"

[My mom is always getting an attitude with me and sayd Im the one with the attitude when I dont. I try so hard to talkt o her without pissing her off, and it just never works. Im just tired of it... and I blew up on the phone at her. Im waiuting for her apology because I kow im right. hence is the reaosn why im never at hom, and at tims instead. Im only home early this week so I can clean my room. OH I wish i could go on a trip... no otakon for me.... entrace fee is too much.]

I kissed him back, but not with all the enthusiasm he put into his side of the kiss.
"Heh..yeah...normal..." I looked away; I wasnt all to fond of him comparing me to "the normal". I did it to myself constantly because I could; his constant reminder of me not being normal hurt more than he thought.
"Everyone that loves me... you, Juri, and now Noah. I dont want to be special, I want to be normal, like everyone else..." I sighed.
I looked down at him and sighed.
"You cant fully love me because Im like this and youre human. I DO NOT want you to go through an expierement to get wings just so you dont feel weired about loving me. So why bother? Look for a human, normal girl to be with and call her your own. We can always remain friends. Right now... it just seems to me like we're friends with 'benefits' with some kissing and light touching. Its not like we'ere ever going to go any further, and dont tell me otherwise, Id rather not hear you say it again.."

"No, but the way things are looking for me, I might end up doing just that."
He looked at her, confused, then looked down.
"Risa....'normal' isn't all that it's cracked up to be....just look down there, there are millions of tiny 'normal' people trying to find the one thing that will make their life complete...it's our job on this earth to find what makes us happiest, I've done my bit, just being with you is the greatest feeling in the world." He turned back, cut to the quick about being reminded of being human.
".......you're right." He said at last.
"I won't mention it again...but if you leave....it'll be because YOU wanted to." He smiled and brushed his hand over her cheek.
"I'll always love you Risa, but do what makes YOU happiest. Alright?" He looked up at her his face curious.

Yeah I havnt given my room a good cleaning in a few months... and I have so much stuff to do and clean... including laundry.

I finally reached his house and hovered outside his window and I helped him inside the open window. I followed in after him and sighed, looking to the floor.
"Because...you aren't pure enough for white." I rubbed my eyes looking to the clock; it read 3:30 am.
"Im goin to go sleep on the couch..." as much as I wanted to sleep with him, or in his bed for one last night... i know he didnt want me there. I picked up a sleeping Misty and headed for the door.

"If you wish." He said sadly...he couldn't even bring himself to ask if she wanted a blanket.

Outside his room, the tears finally fell as I made my way down the steps and stepped out of my sandals and went to the couch, placing Misty at the foot. I flicked out the light and laid on the uncomfortable couch a fe wminutes before finally giving in and laying on the floor.

Kane flinced, but said nothing....with the way he'd been acting....this was all that he deserved.
He didn't even protest about the fighting. He just let her go....just like that.....he let her go....
"If you so order it Risa....I'll go on with my life....but you cannot order me to forget you." He flopped down onto his bed and sighed, rolling over to face the wall. He'd fall asleep...and maybe sleep through her departure.

"STOP SAYING 'IF I ORDER IT' I dont order anything of you Kane!!!!" Those were my last words before I had left his room and went to the living room.
Downstairs, i tossed and turned on the hard floor and finally, fell asleep under the coffee table, Oreo on top of it. Misty on the couch.

((I'm not teasing, i'm seriously planning on coming, but you have to realize, with NO job, NO money, NOT a good car, it's going to be a few years. So don't go looking for me coming around the corner jest yet.))

Kane sighed, and let his tears soak into his pillow, finally exhausting himself so much that he fell into a dead sleep.
Juri listened inside her room.
"Well.....this could have been a better arrangement...." She moved over to the picture of their mother and father on her nightstand.
"Mom..Dad...what would you have done if you were here? What could you have told Kane? I'm not sure I'm cut out for this stuff anymore..." She huddled next to her bed and held the picture close to her trying to find an answer.

[years....? *le sigh* im so impatient...]

The morning finally peeked into the room and I rolled over, groaning at the light, and smaking my forehead on the leg of the table. I huffed and came out form under it and plopped onto the couch and fell back to sleep for a few hours.

Around 10 am or so, on a Monday morning, school was the least of my worries of today. I would need to pack my things and get ready to find that place in the mountains I had dreamed of.
I rubbed my eyes, sitting up and looking around. I doubted Kane bothered to go to school, since I didnt wake up to drag him out of bed. I stood and went to the kitchen and poured myself a cup of orange juice, yawning.

((Yesh, yesh ju are, but I luffs you anyway XDD *hugs*))

It had killed him, to wake up and still see Risa there, but he shoved her out of his mind and got ready.
And so here he sat, in the middle of class actually paying attention in order not to think about her.
He handed in all of his homework and answered all the questions that were asked of him....it was little wonder people began to think he was sick.
But nothing seemed to matter to him anymore....his world....was going dark.

After not hearing anything upstairs, I went up and quietly opened his bedroom door. I peered in to find he was not in his messy bed and my eyebrows shot up in amazement. Alone, I grabbed my black trash bag full of clothing, clean and dirty mixed and picked up my clothing that was scattered about the room. I saw a pair of his boxers after picking up a shirt of mine and could only smile to myself, pushing it aside with my foot. I dressed, keeping my wings out and picked up random things of mine... my hair brush, tooth brush and pillow, that I mistakenly left on his bed from the night before. It had looked a little damp, but I brushed it off and shoved it into the black bag. I went down the steps and saw Oreo and Misty sitting at the door. My eyes swelled; they could not come along.
I went to the kitchen and wrote a note to Kane and Juri:

"I cant thank the both of you enough for all that youve done for me; for your hospitality, love and understanding. Kane, Im sure I'll be seeing you around in school, but please dont look for me and dont do anything stupid. Im...begging you to take care of my babies, Misty and Oreo since the place I am going I cannot bring them along. When I find a steady job, Ill send you a check every month to take care of them. Thank you again... and Ill never forget your kindness."

With that, a lone white feather and finally, after hugging and kissing my kittys, I left, flying hard, keeping the tears from obscuring my view, onward to the mountains up north.

Kane looked up the stairwell that lead to the roof as he headed into the gym...he couldn't even bring himself to touch the banister, or even act as though he was going up there.....it...it hurt too much...he'd been avoiding people all day, and not being able to be out in the open just made it that much harder.
"Risa..." He breathed. But he shook his head and headed on into the gym, making his way down into the locker rooms to change out.

[rawr, she would tell him anyway, to make herself feel better. gnight.]

"KAAANNNEE!" came a shriek from down the hall. She took a hold of his arm and smiled, looking up at him. It was Chidori.
"Kane! How are you? I like, missed you so much and all while I was in the hospital!" She looked around.
"Wheres the wench?" she asked.
"Did you guys break up?"

Kane flinced at the shriek.
"Oh..noes..." He said with little feeling as he was jumped from behind.
"Somehow I was hoping NOT to see you today." He said smiling.
"Though I am glad to see that you're alright now." He sighed.
"Risa isn't a wench Chi, she's a GIRL, just like you, and no....we....didn't break up....I think.....Risa.....to hell with it. Risa left." He looked at the ground pawing at it with a toe of his school regulation shoe..it fit so well with the uniform after all...why not complete the shocker?

"Ive wanted you since day one yah know..."

He sighed heavily.
"I was worried yes, but that was all, let me assure you." He started for the gym again, but found himself stuck tight.
He winced at the scream....right next to his ear and shook his head trying to rid himself of the ringing.
"Don't know...I don't know where she's gone." He turned with a cocked eyebrow and looked at Chidori like she'd grown a third eye.
"I know, and so you've told me time and time again, but right now..." He pried himself away.
"I'm going to be late for Gym." He turned his gaze to the floor and walked on.

"Ohhh c'mon Kane..." she pressed her chest against his arm; about 3 cup sizes larger than Risa's.
"Aren't you the lest bit curious on what I have to offer you?" she purred, looking up into his empy eyes.
She hmped.
"Well, since she up and left you, Ill keep you company. I dont know since when you cared about being late, but remember, its swimming season!" she squeaked, smiling up at him.

He groaned to himself and rolled his eyes.
"Do what you want." He relenquished. In his mind, however, he was throughly disgusted,
If I was interested with Risa....and not to the extent that she wanted, what makes YOU think I'm interested in you? I like a fight, not an easy lay Chi.

He stood there in line with all the other boys not even caring that his two-sizes too small bathing suit seemed to be riding up farther and farther up into his crack...making everything below the belt VERY uncomfortable....he was beginning to think that drowning wouldn't be that bad of an idea.

[Oh...okay. I just hope... youre ok on DA...have you stopped doing art for that one guy?]

She nodded and only took a hold of his hand, marching on.

After changing in her bathing suit, her scars were evident as she sat on the sidelines with her friends, chattering amongst themselves.
"OKAY BOYS! One lap, to and back, ready... GO!" he blew the whistle.
Landing on the roof of the pool house, I yawned, being tired from my long journey to the mountains up north with the huge bag. I leaned on the side, lowering my wings, in my tank and shorts from the day before. I planned on staying hidden for a while. I watched the teacher blow the whistle and rested my chin on my arms. A long sigh and continued to keep my eyes on Kane.
