"Stop F***ing calling me skinny you RED HEADED BASTARD!" He squeezed, then he STILL was talking... he clenched his teeth harder, but still listened, continuing to hold him up.
He stared up at his reddening face, his squirming toes... his aggressive, tense angry face slowly faded to a somber look and slowly released, dropping him to the marble, cold floor.
"You better not just have said all that crap to live. I... the animal in me wanted you to die.." he looked to the floor, away from Kane, kind of ashamed.
"You... I just have a feeling you wanna befriend me because Risa told you, and you are giving me pity because Hita is dead." he huffed, looking at his finger nails.
" You Dont wanna be with a freak show, short tempered... creature like me. So just go... before I choke you and DONT let your voice box above my hand this time..." He walked into his room slowly and looked around. The room was a mess; Hita always yelled at him to keep it straight, and he didn't just to make him mad. He sighed, looking out the window of the balcony door, the moonlight outside dancing across his face and he pressed his forehead to the glass.
"Now what..." he whispered.

Kane coughed...but smiled up.
"I didn't...trust me...I'm not about to get killed by you Skinny.." He cocked his head up..
"What do I have to do to prove that I'm not?" He asked.
"Grovel?" Kane scoffed.
"Freak show? You're hardly one to talk...at least you FIT your wings...I just look like a mess." Kane got up slowly and walked to the doorframe...leaning against it.
"..Damn."He said quietly.
"..Looks about like my room." He looked over.
"...what are you talking about 'now what'? Don't you know?" He picked his way through the mess, coming to stand beside the much taller youth.
"Now...you have a choice to make...either you stay locked away in here for the rest of your miserable life...or..." He turned to walk toward the door.
"You take that open path out into the sunlit world....it's up to you."

"Shaddup... your wings suit you. Your big wings can carry your weight and Risa, if you wish to carry her off into the amazing sunset." He said, still staring out the window as the dobermans ran after a terrified squirrel.
He listened intently, kind of suprized that Kane had the same room. He sighed. His dark color was getting used to this dark room; hiding from kat was a snap. Damn girl wanted to play hide and seek once in a while. But you can't blame her, she's only 13.[she needed more to her lol, at least an age]
"The sun... feels nice on my wings and skin." he muttered into the glass.
"I don't feel it often.."

"Yeah? Trying taking a shower with them." He laughed.
"It's not as easy as it seems."
Kane stopped at the door...his hand on his hip.
"....Then let's go." He smiled.
"You, Risa, and me...let's go see the sun."

He smiled, looking back over his shoulder.
"I have actually. The professor has a large stall shower for us... experiments.." he replied looking to him and running his hand over his hair.
"The sun.." He looked out the window, then back to him and nodded, walking to him towards the door.

Meanwhile, I had fallen asleep in the chair in the professors lab, she still worked on a serum that would work. He wanted to get it ready and prepared immediately.... so he could cure the two boys before it was too late.

"Risaaaaa..." Kane stalked back into the lab smiling, whatever was happening to Noah, to him...it would wait...for just one flight...one flight together. He sighed. what'd gotten into him...for a while he hated this guy..and now. He shrugged, well not even all drug runners were BAD.
"Hey!" He started.
"Doc, you think it'd kill us both to go flying for a while?"

I awoke all groggy from my nap and I looked to Kane and Noah walking in the room and surprisingly not fighting. I smiled at the both of them. Kat had finished cleaning her face and putting a band aid on her neck where the professor had stabbed her with a needle injecting Risas blood into it. She got up and walked past the boys and out into the hall way, headed for her quarters to sleep. It had been a long night.
The professor looked up from his book and nodded.
"Not at all. Just take it easy, especially you, Noah. You are next to have the antidote." He went back to his work. I got up and walked to Kanes side, looking him up and down, only wearing loose shorts.
"Aren't you cold?" I asked him, placing a soft hand on his breast and wrapping my wings around him.

Kane shook his head.
"Nah..I'm fine, though give me about five minutes out there in the wind and I'll be freezing." He laughed and placed his own hand over hers.
"How about you? How are you holding up?" He looked over.
"Question applies to Miss Kitty too...how's she doing since...well, I mean she's sitting up and all...but that's no guarantee."

I smiled and nodded.
"After our fight and you get your antidote we'll go home. Together." Noah heard this and lowered his head. Now that Hita was gone, he'd have noone to fly with now. He sighed and looked to the both of us.
"We going or what? I wanna see the sun." He said, jutting s thumb over his shoulder. I smiled at him, and looked at Kat as she walked downt eh hall.
"She seems fine I suppose. C'mon Kane... lets go fly." I didn't think in all my life i'd say that to someone. I blushed.

Kane smiled, then looped his arm around Risa's waist.
"Yeah, yeah, we're coming skinny, chill." He glanced over to Risa.
"What's this world coming to? Bats that LIKE the sun..." He looked ahead and sighed.
"But I can't really blame him..."

I bushed and looked to him and nodded and started walking in stride with him. Noah growled and clenched his huge fists.
"What did I tell you about calling me that!!" He said, standing over Kane, eyes glowing, fangs showing.
"And when I was full human... I used to surf." He said simply, eyes going back to normal and walking away, ahead of them.
"I... loved being in the sun." he said softly.

Kane laughed, letting go of Risa a moment to grab Noah in a headlock, ruffling his hair.
"You're my buddy, for lack of a better term, buddies need nicknames...if you're a surfer you should know that Bra."

Noah snapped. He jumped up swiftly, and pushed me aside quickly and flew a kick straight into Kane's gut.
"GET YOUR ANTIDOTE AND GO!" He echoed in the hallway.
"You have no idea what its like! LEAVE! You are not welcome here!!" He yelled again, standing over him, eyes glowing brighter than ever. I sighed, rubbing my temples.

"Kane come in here so I can the let both of you leave and let Noah be. He's stressed as it is" yelled the professor from his lab.

Okay...this was...weird to say the least. Kane lay there a moment not feeling breath entering his lungs for a full minute.
"He's.....still pissy...huh?" He laughed sitting up, and rubbing his gut.
"Maybe I should have just punched his face in when I had the chance..." He glared after the darker hybrid, they'd STARTED to make progress as 'friends', but it seemed Kane just took five steps back.
"...Whatever..." He sighed.
"Stressed huh?" He turned and gave a whistle.
"HEY SKINNY!" He smirked, throwing a rude gesture Noah's way and took off down the hallway.
"Pissy's not an excuse for not finishing what you start! Let's see what you've got!" Blast it all, if this is what it took, this is what it took! He'd suffer a few broken ribs before he'd see 'himself' stalking about those halls.

Noah stood over him, breathing heavily, hands still clenched in fists of rage. He glared at him, eyes still a glow. The he swiftly got up and ran down the hall, the pitter patter of his bare feet echoed. Noah let out a roar and ran after him, his long legs and feet gave him a longer stride and covered more distance quicker than his little opponent.
"I dont know why you want to die..." he said between breaths.

I walked into the professors lab and sighed, sitting back in teh chair.
"Wake me when Kane comes back bleeding okay?" I said, fluffing my wings and curing up on the chair.

Kane was almost there, almost there to Noah's room, and the window he'd noticed. He dragged his heels around the corner ducking back inside the doorway, speeding upward with a powerful push from his feathers.
"Follow the leader Noah! Come on!" He still wasn't used to flying...and it took him an extra push off the wall with his foot before he got high enough to land on the sill, but once there, he hung suspended a moment before diving out.

Noah saw him go into his room and let out a howl again, digging his long claws into the wall and marble to stop himself. he darted into his room, how orange filled with the sunrise and jumped out the window, landing right on Kane as he jumped out. He sat on his back and wrapped his arms around him, closing his wings and pressing them shut in his arms. He flapped his massive leather wings to keep afloat above the yard where the dobermans were drooling and barking for their next meal.
"Why do you insist on pain... why do you insist on mocking my deformity...." he growled between his teeth and between every flap. He dug his feet claws into his thigh, causing it to bleed.

Kane floundered, it was hard enough to bear his own weight, but Noah's was just laboring.
"Why?" He choked.
"Because Skinny...you're starting to remind me of me, I hate to admit that you're anything like me at this point, what with all the stalking you've done, but damnit!" He shuddered in mid-air almost falling.
"LOOK! Call it mockery, call it a peace offering, whatever you want, but if pounding my face into the proverbial dirt will get you out of this....RUT you're so content to stay in, then by all means break a rib or two! It's nothing I haven't had done before, and you're not the last one to do it!" He looked over his shoulder.
"Hita's dead...it's hard...I know..we've went through this before...but losing my parents was hard for me...." they hit dirt just a little outside the fence. Kane rolling onto his side to keep from breaking anything. He sighed and sat up, shoving Noah away.
"You're not going to sit there and mope like I did! Miss Kitty's still here, and for some reason unbeknownst to me, Risa cares a smidgen about you! AND I CAN'T STAND IT!"

"You and I are nothing alike, how DARE you compare us..." he glided outside the fence, the dogs followed them on the ground. He let them land on the ground then let him go, looking to him as he slumped over, looking to the ground, listening to his every word. He nodded.
"You may have lost your parents... but I have lost... so much more. More than you will ever be able to comprehend. Just leave. You and Risa... just go." He looked to the sky and caught himself on a wind and flapped back into the mansions window and hid in the shadows of the mansions hallways.

"Oh hell no." Kane followed, like the stubborn idiot he was.
"GET OUT HERE!" He cried, sitting there in the window.
"I'm not leaving till you get a grip! You think you're loss is so much harder? Try foraging in a trash can for food for about a year while your sister worked her butt off at a restaurant, try getting three permanent teeth knocked out during your initiation, and having to explain why she had to spend her entire savings getting you new ones! Try running three miles in less than three minutes so that you could live! We all have hardships pal, get used to it. You want to cower in the dark? You're right, we're nothing alike then....But I feel the worst for Hita....to think you're going to dishonor him like this."

He heared Kanes voice echo in the halls; he was kneeling beside Kats door. He stood and stomped into the bedroom and saw Kane perched in the window. He ran u to him and slammed him square in the jaw.
"When will you learn to shut up? Idiot.." he said, staring at him.

Laughing he dangled out the window from the punch, hanging off the sill by his knees.
"Yep..that's what Juri keeps telling me." He looked up his chest back at the other boy.
"But it's true. You and Hita were friends right? That means that the one that survives has to live enough for the both of them...and I'm pretty sure Hita had a lot of life left in him. I don't think he'd want to spend it here in the mansion..do you?"

"Hita and I were not friends. I looked after him more than anything. He was... too friendly with epople... and often got into mischief.. I have to stay here, I have no other choice. The Professor needs me. I am his only winged creature left." He sighed, looking out the window and punched Kanes knuckles so he fell fro the windows.
"Moron."

"..." Kane dropped, smiling.
"What happened to the sun?" He asked simply, turning like he had at the cave and barreling up into the light.

He looked out the window at Kane falling and caught himself. He rolled his eyes and folded his arms, looking on at the sunrise.
"Its still there, never left." He said looking to it briefly.
