I've never seen Jaws.
I have seen The Silence of the Lambs and really enjoyed it. The guy I was watching it with didn't like it much though.
I own a bunch of dvds and books that I've never read/seen and hope to eventually get around to. XD The sad thing is, when I do have the free time to watch a movie, I tend to be like, "New movie, or this movie I know I'll like... Let's go with the one I know I'll like."
My major includes a lot of reading, which is fine because I like reading, but it doesn't leave much time to read things that aren't for class.
Rooceeroo: I'm doing well, except that I burned my finger and it really hurts.

I actually burned it with hot water. You know those water cooler thingies they have in work areas where you pull up on one tab to get cold water and one to get hot water? I was getting hot water for making a tasty drink, missed the cup, and got it on my thumb instead. I wouldn't have expected that water to be so very hot. My thumb is bright red and is still hurting two hours later.

Hannible and The Exerocism of Emily Rose both gave me nightmares. They were both excellent movies though but I watched Emily Rose all by myself at around 8:00 at night. Bad move on my part.

D: ouch! that sounds painful! D: I'm always amazed at how hot water can be in those things. >.< We have a hot water dispenser thing that we got from Scotts mom for making a cup of tea and whatnot. That stuff comes out at boiling temperatures!

I'd definitely say that this is the worst burn I've gotten in a long time.
I'm not a big fan of horror movies. Thrillers I'm okay with, but not horrors.

^^;; I'm bad with both. I'd take a love story over either any day XD At least then I would have dreams of being swept off my feet by a handsome prince XD

I'm ok with both as long as I'm not alone. I have a very vivid imagination once I go to sleep and my dreams can get rather real and graphic.

I have a tendency of closing or hiding my eyes as soon as things get a little too bloody for me.
Of course, I do the same thing when moments get too embarassing. XD For example, Guy 1 was flirting with Girl 1 when Girl 2 (his girlfriend) comes up. He starts stuttering and trying to explain who Girl 2 is without saying the Girlfriend thing.
If I'm by myself and have it on dvd, I'll pause it three or four times before managing to make it through the whole scene. If I'm with other people or can't pause, I close my eyes and ears and wait for it to end.
<<,, I know it's silly, but I can't help it.

It's not silly at all. I do that with scary stuff all the time. I will hide my eyes until it's over.

I don't even consider watching them if I am alone XD <3 The only time I have watched scarey movies willingly was with my best friend because she loves them. Though normally she has seen them first and tells me when to close my eyes XD I love plot I hate being scared lol
I think my least favorite movie that I have seen too many times is pet cemetery. sooo scarey!

Never seen it. x.x
XD The sad thing is that I do that with books too. I'm reading along, and then I'm like, "I can't read this." I'll take a break, read a couple of lines, take another break, maybe sneak a look at a couple pages further on to see how everything ends up so that I feel better about reading the moment.

I don't necessarily don't have to have someone already see it, I just usually listen for change in music to know a scary part is coming up.

What would movies be without music. Would we still know how to feel about movie moments?

I doubt it. Music is what makes it great. Change in the music helps to know what is to come.

I definitely once saw a scene without music (when I'd previously seen it with music) and thought that it was much too quiet. The silence disturbed me.

I like that music changes in movies to warn us XD And in video games too so you know when something is coming up to kill you XD
movies with out music would be sad. You still get the emotions but they wouldn't be as powerful. I cry in most movies, with out the music I don't think I would XD
I'm emotional. leave me alone <3 :P

XD <3 at least i'm not alone. I had a friend back where I used to live that would cry with me on all movies. It was hilarious.
Scott cried while watching A.I. I had never seen it before and didn't end up crying, and so I got to tease him since he ALWAYS teases me!

I liked the movie A.I. until it refused to end. It just kept going, and going, and going, and going. x.x And everytime I thought it was over, I was wrong.

Honestly I had that problem too. But the hubby and I had found it in the 45 bin at Wal Mart and he was saying how awesome it was and how it made him tear up and everything so we decided to buy it. and it just kept going. and going. and going. I didn't really get what the company was trying to do once they had made him anyway. People die. Having a kid around FOREVER that doesn't really do much doesn't seem like a good idea to me...

I always try to not cry too. when I know something is going to happen (generally by the music) I try to brace myself, but it doesn't work. I still end up crying. :P
