i only can't get certain frames cuz of the thickness... i'm not allergic to any metals that i know of... ^^;
but i look better with those frames where there's no bottom... but my lenses are too thick... XD

I thought they only determine the thickness? Which is reasonable. lol.

The lens size is just the difference of area, is it not?

I can wear glasses but they look funny on me. One ear is -slightly- lower then the other, but just enough to make the parts that go over your ears to keep them on crooked so the glasses don't line up on my eyes right. >.> it's kinda funny XD but apparently I'm the only one that notices.

I love my glasses - but sometimes I think I like to torture myself with choosing heavy frames.

I only wear mt glasses when I need to see >.< - I don't wear them on the computer or when I'm messing about the house, but if I leave the house or need to drive or see TV I wear them.

I remember my skin do not react well with a certain metal too... I have a faint memory that my skin between the ear and eyes seems to be been red and peeled skin. Not sure whether it is pimples/or such impurities or not. lol.

@xu it's all depends on how bad your eyes are. The worse your eyes the thicker the glasses.
and it's probably the nickel you're allergic to. I have the same problem. >< Thus the more expensive frame I have to buy.

I am not sure, lol. and beside, lol, not frameless! is rimless. I had been laughed at when I said I want a 'frameless' spectacles. :lol: Frame is the piece that connects the 2 lens and from the lens to ear.

I understand thickness, but why size?

if it's too thick, it looks bad rimless... ^^;

also, miyu likes the ones with the rim on the top but not the bottom... and usually those rims are really thin, so with a thick lens it looks really bad... ^^;

Awww... how thick? Would the thickness to the extent that when draw in anime style, the lens will become a swirl pattern?

I wear contacts almost all the time. I should wear my glasses more, but I'm too lazy to be honest. And I'm just not crazy about how I look in glasses.

miyu uses the other system (forgot what it's called)... but miyu knows some of the conversions into the metric system... like 1 in = 2.54 cm and 1 kg = 2.2 lb... ^^;

@xu xD haha size matters if you have bifocals! Because you use half the glasses for bifocals, and half for seeing near or far, you can't have too small or both won't fit!

Anyway, my lens is about a bit thicker than 1 CD thickness. 1 and a half CD thickness. I think that would be pretty standard?

I don't wear them, so I really have nothing to add to the conversation other then what i have already said which is 'glasses are sexy' sooooo...no I don't like talk about glasses XD
