How are your typing skills, though? :O Do slow-typing people exist? :(

  • o3o Oooh.

I type quite fast- could pull that "CLINKCLINKCLINK" sound they show in the movies! xD- but I also make many typos. Well, sometimes. I fumble and stumble and fail, overall :( Wonder if that'll ever improve.

I think I'm a little over average for typing speed ^^; Not sure though. I do make typos too though. Normally it is with the words and and the though. my fingers confuse them and most of the time my 'h' sticks and so the turns into te and 'and' turns into adn because it's easier on my mind to hit things in order that they go if being read d: silly me.

That is fast! My fingers will type things backwards sometimes too. I'm getting better though.

  • ..That's a sweet way to excuse your typos, melody :>

Typos are bad. I'm thinking I perhaps should slow down and learn to type properly, without mistakes slowly and then pick up the tempo- but now I can't slow down. ...I swear I'm not making that up, try it yourselves! D:

XD I always think it's funny when I come into my thread and there have been pages of conversation without me. I'm like, Should I read all of it or just join into the conversation as it currently stands?

As far as I can tell though, the conversation hasn't changed in the past two and a half pages. xD

Not that I'm complaining mind. <<,, Talk in my thread all you want. I love people keeping it on the first page.

Anyways...

I never texted until I came to Boston. It does cost some amount per text on my plan (though I don't know how much), and I agree that it seems more convenient to call. (Or, Anthony and I always send each other voicemails. We're both on Sprint and we can send a voicemail to someone else with Sprint without their phone ever ringing).

My roommates and my project groups both use text messages a lot. One convenient thing with the text messages is that you can send the same one to multiple people, so it might be quicker to make plans than calling every member of the group. Plus, people are almost guaranteed to get a text message quickly, whereas they might not check their e-mail fast enough.

I don't know why my roommates send text messages. xD They just do. Like, Roommate T sent me a message telling me that there was a black cat on our porch. Things like that.

Oh, and on the brief other subject, I don't think I could date someone who was too jealous. I had someone who just had a crush on me (and who I considered dating but never did) who was incredibly jealous of me and Anthony, even though we're just friends (not to mention that Anthony's into guys, not girls). It was the most frustrating experience.

  • I personally always read stuff- usually in others' threads too, just in case something scandalous happened

Come on, don't diss us like that! We've moved from cell phone keyboards to PC keyboards and then had a fling with jealousy and insane women, too!

<3 Good things are to stay there.

"Black cat on our porch"-- I wish I received text messages like that!

Silly question, but it evolved from the jealousy talk- are you flirty? I used to be. Can only hope all teenagers go through that slut-stage :| Gah, I can't wash these memories away >xP

Also, I'm fishing! Yay! 5 empty catches in a row x__x It better pay off!

Mm. I don't really know if I'm flirty. I suppose I could be interpretated as flirty when I'm with friends. I'm touchy. I tend to fling my arms around people and watch what they're doing, or lean against them, or tug on their shirt sleeve and pout.

On the other hand, with people I barely know or don't consider close friends, I'm kind of closed off, quiet, and awkward, and don't like to be touched. There was this guy I worked with who would always like pat my back or decide he wanted to massage me or what not, and that just made me extremely uncomfortable.

Fishing:

Here's my record thus far -

daily loss/gain total loss/gain
license -25 -25
11/29/2007 -75 -100
11/30/2007 -80 -180
12/1/2007 -60 -240
12/3/2007 10 -230
12/4/2007 25 -205
12/5/2007 109 -96

As you can see, my total gain is still in the negative, but supposedly I should go into the positive tomorrow (if I make about what I made today), and then everything will be pure profit from there.

P.S. Sorry if the graph doesn't come out well. It looks fine right now, but I think Menewsha might decrease all my larger spaces to one space, which could be confusing. We will see.

  • Fling arms around! :D Sounded fun. Amari is all about the cute, apparently >O Tugging on sleeves and pouting, how cute is that!

Ooh, I understand the being closed off with strangers. It really depends on how that other person is acting towards me, but if I sense at least one signal of anti-enthusiasm, they'll never get anything out of me :| I even start laughing more sheepishly than usually :D
One massage-lady screamed at me because she couldn't do all that swishy stuff when attempting to massage my shoulders- I was too tense and couldn't relax even when I tried to tell myself to @[email protected]

Hmmmm, I see! Sounds like.. a long process! Gawd, I'm so bad with things requiring patience! o3o
I wonder if we're allowed to fish with our mules. That would be faster, but.. D:

Let's see, texting I'm so slow. That's why I hate it so much.

On the other hand, the last time I was timed for my typing, I did over 120 words per minute with one error. I was amazed with myself. I just type without thinking since I do it for a living and have done so for so long now.

  • You're a secretary, right? Do you remember if typing was hard at first? :O

Do you have to make coffee like the stereotypical movie secretaries, too? D: I'm not sure if that's a cliche or a real duty.

Yes, I'm a secretary for a small law firm of 3 lawyers. I do make the coffee in the mornings because I'm the first one at the office. I pick up the voice mail messages and check the email. I don't answer the phones unless the office manager is already on a line. My boss says that I have too much to do to be bothered with the phones. It's a great chore I am glad I don't have to deal with. Typing for 3 attorneys can be rough when they all give me stuff to do at once and it's all got to be done right away.

  • But you didn't always type at this speed, did you? I'm really curious about this stuff, the way you work and what you have to do :O It sounds like the kind of job I'd like to do, though.

My mom is an inspector at a public office, so a passive job where you sit and deal with numbers/documents sounds attracting to me :( Though they're usually looked down upon, I think :/

No, I didn't always type this fast. When I first started out and was learning to type, I was awful. It just takes time to get this fast. It's just a natural thing for me now. I don't even have to look down at my fingers to type the numbers anymore. That was the most difficult part for me. I hated reaching up for them.

I learned how to type by talking to people on AIM. >.> The more people that would talk to me the more I would have to type and the faster I would have to be to reply to all of them. It took a while before I didn't look at the keys anymore, but yeah, after a while you just get the hang of typing and it gets faster and faster.

Roo- O.O I'm jealous of your typing skills <3

  • I learned typing quick the same way!

Getting myself to break through and start using English was nowhere as swift! I kept apologizing and repeating "Sorry for my English, excuse my English, sorry sorry sorry" even if my comment concluded of... "Thanks!"

I think the most important part was not making myself better at English, but starting not to care whether or not I was making typos. As long as people could understand what I'm saying, generally, I was fine :B And I think that naturally improved my English. When I read stuff I've written even as recently as a year ago, I get the ants down my spine  What will I do after a few years? :>

The saying practice makes perfect really does work when it comes to typing skills. The more you do it, the better you are at it.

I do believe you can fish with your mule. I've seen several do it. I just need to either send gold over there or start posting more with her and fish on her too.

I know mods that fish with their mules so I can only assume that it is ok. If they decide to change that they should make it a full on policy though and tell everyone in an announcement or something.

Your english is pretty good. (: what is your native language?
