hmmm...? What is teh book about, Cami? If it is not confidential.

The first one is about a terrorist organization attacking America. It's told from the points of view of both Americans and terrorists. It's a fascinating and very realistic book.

The second is about these engineers with the air force who get stuck in a bunker in no man's land during a battle. There's a plot that takes place in the present, as they try to figure out what to do, search for help for their injured companion, etc, and a plot that takes place in the past, as they tell humorous stories to pass the time and keep their spirits up.

I haven't finished the second one, so I can't tell you.

I had to debate for a moment on the first one, but I would say yes. It's such a disorienting (purposefully) book that it's hard to explain happy though. XD The terrorist attacks stop and the Americans think that the they've killed the organization's leader (they're wrong about this and my friend says he's working on a sequel). He managed to make many of the terrorists likable though. You don't agree with them. Their acts are atrocious. But you understand their motivations and quite often you like them. So you're sad when they die and you regret the way the world works.

Just like some of the times, the bad people do bad things becuase of tragic past that haunt them?
