Ooooh, I'd hate to be in your place. x3 Sorry~

I'm not ususally one for constant music, but I've found myself needing it more often, lately. :3

Like, I usually work much better with a background noise, and enjoy singing along to thinks as I work, but lately, I've been listening to music nonstop. In the car, I need the radio, a CD, or a tape, something playing, it doesn't matter. Just yesterday, my mom and I were singing along to Jefferson Airplane, and the day before, I was jamming to emo. x3

Right now, it's... Jimmy Eat World. :3 Fantastic~

Oooh, but one time I always need music, or my mind implodes, is my hour long busride to and from school. x.x;;

Music is important to me - I listen to 88.5 xpn online while I'm at work - and at home I either have the radio on or my ipod.

My ipod was my best friend when I was shelving books at the library - even if I did get funny looks for dancing while shelving

Music can easily control my emotions. Some songs I hear for theme or ending songs in anime could make me dance with joy or give me those "deep in thought" state where I could cry out my out. I can live without it, but not for long. Music is like a friend that I shoulder on. If I'm sad, I can turn on one of the most happiest song and my mood could change completely.

It also give movies and shows a depth. Without music, where are the emotions?

Wow, did this forum get huge without me. o_o

@ Kawaii - Same here. My mom thinks it distracts me, but it actually keeps me sitting down. Without the music, I have to stand up and start running around.

@ Mancer - I'll just loose my ability to focus. xD

@ Hidari - Its happened. I played the same song over and over for hours, and I didn't get sick of it. It usually takes a few days for me to get sick of a really good song. xD

@ Nathuram - I actually have trouble concentrating while reading if I have music on, because I want to figure out the lyrics rather than the words. But if its just a steady hum it usually wont' distract me. But when I roleplay or chat, I Just NEED it. NEED. x.x

@ Donna - That sounds pretty much like me. =P My head is one of those freaking music boxes. x.x

@ Nauthruam - I'm still looking for a few songs to describe me. If I could write some, I would make one myself, but I lack the talent. xD

@ Ebil - D= Lucky! I want an iPod. All my friends have one besides me, and my parents think its a waste of money to get one.

@ Jade - If I went deaf, that would be one of the most horrible fates in the world for me. Do you know the song 'Scarborough Fair' ?

@ Eve - xD I usually sleep during long car trips, but I like to have the radio on. Its hard to get comfortable in the car anyways. x.x

@ Jelly - *takes a bite out of* Why must everyone have an iPod besides me?

@ Life - I'm already as insane as I'll go, so I'm gonna be pretty off my rocker if my music is taken away.

@ Moon - Limewire saves me. =P

@ Fool - =P I actually like that song.

@ Suika - I never understood what exactly Emo Music was. O_o But that reminds me of the Emo Song I found on YouTube.

@ Sia - xD Hahahaha. I can't dance, and I'm much to embarrassed to do it in public.

@ Sadistix - I agree. When I'm upset and the radio picks that time to play one of my favorite songs, I can cheer up almost instantly!

@ Tenten - I used to listen to that, then I just migrated to YouTube.

I am absolutely addicted of music. I just have to listen it everyday, maybe not all the time (it's hard to listen to it at school, for example), but I need music to live.
But I can't stand most of those songs that are played in the radio and other medias (like that popular - recently - "Umbrella").
I listen mainly dark music which isn't too popular. I mean gothic, a little bit of metal (if vocalist is female or male that DON'T growl, because I hate growlings --"), alternative, indie, rock, some other things that I can't connect with any genre...
And some anime soudtracks, because they could be so beautiful.

And YouTube vs Radio... I prefere just my CDs or my mp3 player <3
*Which helps me now, because my computers loudspeakers and phones currently don't work so I can't listen anything on computer -__-*

  • I used to not be able to live without music; but now I could care less about it. I've gotten really picky about what I'll listen to. I guess I stopped listening to it alot when I moved into college and didn't want to scare my roomates ( I listen to alot of metal, and they were VERY christian).

By the eighth day I started to cry.

Every time I turn on the computer, I open iTunes as well. I listen to music when I draw, do homework, or surf the internet. I would be rather sad without my music. ;o;

As for genres, I listen to a variety. Which include rock, alternative, hiphop, older classics, and the occasional pop song. :> In fact, I found myself listening to classical music while I was drawing yesterday. I was quite surprised. *0*

I listen to the radio when I'm in the car, but that's it. I'll use YouTube if there's a song I like that isn't on iTunes, however.

Classical can be good or bad for me. I wouldn't really listen to it willingly, but I guess I can tolerate it. Some of its very pretty, but I prefer other types of music over it.

I go from listening to music nearly constantly... to not listening to music at all.

It's one of two extremes, I guess.

I start singing if you take my music away too long. it's a scary prospect. I'm rarely denied access to it for that precise reason XD

I pretty much have to have music on all of the time. I’m not a big fan of top 40 stuff/most stuff they play on MTV. I can’t even tolerate most of it. I listen to a lot of smaller bands that I guess you could say are rock/ alternative music. I do like Taking Back Sunday quite a bit and have for years so they’re one of my big band exceptions.

I don’t use YouTube for music or for anything really at all. I download a lot of music or get it from friends or my husband. I don’t listen to the radio all too much anymore because I don’t like most of the stuff that’s out now. Every now and then I’ll switch it on, but only until there’s a song I don’t like or if I don’t like the song that’s on. Then I’ll go back to CDs/MP3s. I use Purevolume.com and MySpace a lot for finding new music since a lot of bands have music up at both places.

x Music. Can you live without it?
Heck no. I'd die. Literally. Well...I'd go mad first, then die.

x What types of music do you listen to?
Rock, hiphop, sometimes rap. Oh, and occasionally pop.

x YouTube vs Radio
Radio. They don't strain your eyes, the music's good, and radio gives you NEWS. :]

x Poor Anna?
-patpat- You've lasted this long...a little more won't hurt...too much...

I understand your pain. For a few days my speakers were not working on my labtop... It made me cry but I fixed them. I do listen to a lot of music on my computer and in my room... In truth I daydream to my music, so I always need it for creative thoughts and stuff.

^_^

So I do understand the pain of not being able to listen to music. -_-

Gawd, silence creeps me out. x_x
I can hear the blood rushing through my ears and it's CREEPY.
D:!
Normally I have a fan to generate a little sound, actually, normally I have music, but if I have no fan and no music I will seriously try to pick out the pitch my ears ring to. It's really sad. Not even when I'm sleeping; I've got to have sound, all the time!
I don't know how well I'd fare without music from my speakers or iPod for an extended period of time. Like, days without music? Torture! I could live, I'd just be grumpy and bitchy all the time.
