I'm actually sick too, though I can definitely say nowhere near Shingles sick. I've been having thyroid trouble for the past few months, but only recently was I able to get medication. Just stuff like that.

How are you doing?

I can get rid of the symptoms, but it'll lay dormant in me for the rest of my life.

Chi: I keep sleeping wrong so my body is really sensitive to touch. I'm really stiff and sore and lying down actually hurts after a while. Pain killers don't help.

Clair: Yeah, I didn't think there was a cure for it. And it can flair up randomly, can't it?

That really sucks. Did you get it after chicken pox or something? D:

Errr, then how did you get shingles? o.O Did you get it then? I forget how it develops... I'm pretty sure you can't get it if you've never had chicken pox, though.

I had chicken pox when I was about four or five, maybe six.

I think I had chicken pox around that age as well.

Yeah, I can't remember exactly how old I was. I believe I got it around Christmas time, though. But it was in the four-to-six age range.

I remember having it. I was absolutely miserable.

And I know that I had a HORRIBLE case of it. x_x

Sounds similar to my outbreak. I spending the summer vacation visiting my grandmother when I broke out with mine. Poor grandma had to continually make aveeno baths and help take care of me. She didn't know what she was getting herself into when she agreed to let me stay the summer. :XD

Well you better hope you never get it, then. Stay as far away from people who have chicken pox as possible.

From my understanding, the older you are when you get it, the worse it is. I believe it might also be more fatal when you're older. My doctor (old doctor, not current one) said that the older you are when you get it, the better chance you have of developing shingles.

I was raised by my grandmother. So... Yeah. I didn't take aveeno baths when I had chicken pox. I took oatmeal baths with oatmeal soap.

Oatmeal baths are wonderful when you're sick, even if it's not with chicken pox.

Joy that's not really something to brag about, LOL.
Like Cricket said, the older you get the worse it will be.
If you haven't had it yet that's more of a bad than good thing.

Which is why it's safe to stay away from people who might have it. :x

It's always best to stay away from sick people. But my 'twin' and I are always sick, but never contagious. It's just because our immune systems suck and we have bad health.
