Introduction
- Well I see all these hangout threads in The Menewsha Nation, but none seem to have direction or topic in their conversations. But fear not! I am here to put an end to the wretched stupor which has plagued Menewshans for too long! Join me, in this vast and epic adventure.
About the Adventure
- The concept of this thread is to write short, obscene, ridiculous continuations of the short, obscene, ridiculous story before you. There are several guidelines, however. Please note that when I refer to "continuations", I am also referring to the beginnings and endings of the stories as well.
- [list:82d7dba999]» All continuations must be written in small violet font. All other text will be understood as out-of-story chatting.
» Please keep the continuations literate, written in a past tense, and written with decent grammar. I understand that most of us aren't english majors, though.
» Please keep continuations to a small paragraph in length. Something between 3-5 sentences is fine.
» To prevent traumatic posting collisions, I will be choosing who will write the next continuation of the story. Your chance of being picked depends on several variables, including how often you frequent the thread, how creative and literate you seem to be, how well you appeal to me, etc.
» If you wrote a continuation recently, then you may have to wait a while until I pick you again, to assure diversity.
» If I pick you to finish a story, it must end with "True story. Srsly."
» If I pick you to begin a story, it must start with "This one time, Nathuram and I..."
» Remember that, unless you finish a story, someone will continue the story after you. Be sure to leave creative leeway. Or, if you want to be especially torturous, leave a horrid cliffhanger.
» The most important thing of all, however, is to be as creative, obscene, and ridiculous as you possibly can.
These guidelines were created to assure enjoyment of the fullest in this thread :][/list:u:82d7dba999]
Exempli Gratia
- To reassure that the guidelines are completely understood, I shall write an example! Please do not use the example in your own continuations.
[list:82d7dba999]Person One:
- This one time, Nathuram and I went to an aquarium to study the color patterns of beta fish for a school paper of ours. The strangest thing happened, though, when we walked through the archway of the stingray exhibit. Soon after passing through, we were transported into an aquatic dimension, and we had adapted gills!
Person Two: The water was crystal clear, like that of a tropical ocean, and there was a rainbow colored coral reef not far from us. Mesmerized by the colorful fish, we decided to swim closer to the reef. But just as we began our journey, we noticed a large shark charging in our direction!
Person Three: Fearing for our lives, we panicked and quickly looked for a place to hide. We were too slow, though, but our fear was soon subsided. It turns out that the shark was actually friendly! He offered us some tea and crumpets, as well as a tour around his wonderful reef, which he happened to be the mayor of! We looked around, and it was amazing.
True story. Srsly.

Naming Contest!- This thread needs an actual name! The person who thinks up the most appealing, yet relevant, name wins 25 gold! Not much, but it's something. The contest will last until 9PM EST on the 26th of August. Entries will then be voted on. Entries so far:
[list:82d7dba999]None :[
[/list:u:82d7dba999]
Please abide to the guidelines, but have fun most of all. Feel free to chat and hangout until I pick the first victi- er.. participant. Let the thread commence!

Current Story- This one time, Nathuram and I were at the pool together, and I couldn't help but think something was up. A devious smile had passed his lips, and if you studied him well enough - which I couldn't, since he'd think I was weird if I were to stare at him - you'd realize that it was just the kind of look I had before I tried to take over the world. But in this horribly hot day, the weather was so beautiful that I didn't care. Or, at least, I didn't until he shoved me off the diving board that I had gotten on earlier for a better view! During my downward plunge, I realized why there hadn't been any other swimmers. Ohnoes! SHARKS!

I'd think of a name, but it would wind up being a name that only I like. And I'm a perfectionist, so I'd have to slave for days until I thought of the best name possible :[

*waves to Jurupamae* =P The evil workload is one reason I'd rather not be staff, as awesome and glorious as having your name in a different color may seem.
*eats the cookie that appeared instead of inspiration at the poof*

Gah. I have the song Blood by My Chemical Romance stuck in my head. I'm also on the phone with my girlfriend (As I usually am), and I keep replacing the lyrics to fit other things. Like.. soup, instead of blood. Here's the song, so you know what I'm talking about.
Edit: Click the second one.

My speakers are broken at the moment, but I can't listen to it. The only My Chemical Romance song that I ever really liked was Welcome to the Black Parade. Or at least, I think that's what it was called.

I have every My Chemical Romance cd and dvd on my computer :] (borrowed them from my gf). I didn't really listen to them until just recently, but I think they're amazing. Their dvd, Life on the Murder Scene, has inspired me more than anything has inspired me before.
When you get a chance, you should listen. My favorite songs are Vampires Will Never Hurt you, Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us, You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison, and The Ghost Of You.

There's only so many people that come to the Menewsha Nation. And those who do are usually chatting in the threads they're in. So who knows how long it will be until someone realizes this thread's presence.
@juru: Might it be possible to ask what you do for work outside Menewsha? :]

I work from home supporting an online accounting program. Prior to that I used to do data recovery on the desktop edition of the software.
Glorified tech support really :)

I want to be a writer. You get to work at home, you don't have a boss that yells at you, and its something that I want to do and enjoy doing. Provided I don't have a frustrating case of writer's block bothering me.
