I have had a lot of animals...
Once we had 30 chickens in our backyard.
We got 2 chickens, and then it got out of hand.

I've had a chick before. D= I have no idea what happened to him and I'm not actually sure I want to find out. He was so fluffy and cute, but then one day, he just wasn't there anymore.

One time one of the mama hens left a chick under the house.
So I had to crawl under the house, about 20 feet, and rescue it.
It turned out, while it was growing it didn't get enough warmth, so it's leg was twisted backwards, and undeveloped, so the mom abandoned it.
It died 4 days later...

Yeah it was depressing. He died about 2 years ago, in March.
I named him Scrapper, because he fought so hard to live...
We think he had internal bleeding.

Also we once had a young rooster, who got into a yard, with a dog.
The dog tore every feather off of him.
But he's doing fine right now.
Of course he's on a farm right now with the rest of them.

Yeah he was hurt. But he lived.
I remember naming one of the chickens.
I named her Hecuba, and then she had 17 eggs.
And since we didn't want that many more chicks we took 14 of them away...
So she had 3, I named them Hector, and I don't remember the other two.
But they were beautiful!

@anna: Yeah, I also named one mohawk chick. But it was killed by a neighbor cat. I saw it all from my window, and I couldn't do a thing... I cried for a few hours after that.
