Yeah, so I'm going to one of the biggest ones in Texas tomorrow. Last year it was awesome, but this year it's gonna be better, I can feel it. Anyhow, have any of you guys been to one? Was it awesome? Did you hug strangers? Did you laugh at nerds? What did you do?

I've never been to one before.
Not a big fan of anime anymore.
It was funny I was selling my manga's at school a few months ago and some girl was like "Why are you selling them?" "Well I'm growing out of it." "What?!!?! I'm never going to grow out of it."
I feel sorry for that girl. ._.'

I bet they are tons of fun if your really into that kind of thing.
I'm horrible at costumes so I probably would of gone as myself and all my glory. And most likely laugh at people who had horrible costumes.

I've been to Otakon in Baltimore twice, Ohayocon in Columbus once, and my local con every year so far.

Otakon is too big for me, I think. Too many people, not enough room, way too much for me. Ohayocon is nice, it's not too big, but big enough that you get decent entertainment and enough dealers to have a choice.

Do you cosplay?

I've never been to an anime or comic convention, but I would certainly love going to one. However, none of the conventions featuring booths that I'd like to see are anywhere near me. Damn Northern New York! >w< We're practically in the middle of nowhere.

Has anyone been to Anime Boston? All of the people I talked to who went to it said it was loads of fun.

I’ve never been to one. I used to want to go to a bunch, but none were ever around here and I never had the money to go to one. I still wouldn’t mind going to one just so I had an excuse to make a costume and dress up as an anime character. Yes, I’m that big of a dork, but hey, it would be fun.

Never been to one, mostly because nothing like that happens within traveling distance of me. A few of my friends have driven to conventions way out in California, but I'd never be able to do anything like that. It just wouldn't be worth the money needed to get out there, plus whatever it is I want to do once I'm actually there. Besides, I don't cosplay, so that takes away a little bit of the flavor.

It sounds like fun, though. I've always been curious about them.

Yeah, it's amusing because all the fat guys dressed as sailor moon. I usually don't cosplay, I usually just wear something comfy, crazy, and cool. And then I go, and it's awesome.

I've been to Shoujocon (old NJ con), Big Apple Anime Fest, Otakon, and... i think thats it! lol Oh, and I-Con, although thats more of a scifi convention, they do have some anime stuff.

I've never really cosplayed... although i guess i did once when i was a lot younger and i wanted to go to I-Con, so i made a costume of Sailor Moon's school outfit. which came out VERY good but i was too embarassed and kept my coat on the whole time! lmao >>;;;; my mom also wasnt too supportive complaining about "all these weird people/things" so we eventually just left cause i was confused! (It was I-Con and its held at a college campus and we walked around to different things where i thought some anime panels/screenings were gonna be but nothing was there so oh well!) my first con wasnt that great, but ill still never forget it XD

I never really cosplayed since, although i did wear an Elegant Gothic Lolita outfit for 2 days at Otakon. Nothing special and it was amazing comfy and so much fun! :) I would love to cosplay more, but i dont really have the body type for it (not gonna fool myself lol), but just walking around in jeans and a tshirt ~ cant beat that! hehe

Cons are so much fun <3 When i was at Shoujocon, i was part of the Consuite staff and it was pretty hectic cleaning things and keeping an eye on stuff - i had to run down someone who was stealing a bottle of soda O.O! I was like UHH COME BACK NOW KTHX? NO BOTTLE FOR YOU! XD ahaha~

Otakon was by far the BIGGEST one ive been to, and i went in 05. that center is HUUUGE! but it was really a lot of fun and had a LOT of different things to do. Its fun meeting/seeing voice actors and going to various panels. I remember i went to a Ball-jointed Doll panel and i really did learn a LOT about them which i didnt know before. I would really like to buy one someday~

Anyhow getting a bit rambly... Conventions are fun <3 Especially with friends, or just make new ones! ^^ <3

I've not been to one. I was going to go to one back in Febuary, but seeing as i'm not really into the scene of anime, i didn't think it was worth the 33 mile journey.
I'd still like to go to one, if there was ever an event closer to me. Which i highly doubt.

I used to realllllyyy want to go to one, but I've sort of grown out of anime and I'd rather go to a festival for music then one for anime. I'd probably go if my friends asked me, just out curiosity, but I wouldn't dress up.

I was really close to going to Anime North one year, but do to complications, me and my mom couldn't get there and just stayed where we were originally vacationing.

I've been to quite a few conventions. Started going my senior year in high school. Only Cosplayed on Stage once as Belial from Angel Sanctuary hehe >.<; Never again. I usually dress goth lolita. I've been to Anime Central, in chicago Three times. (8 hour drive to chitown ugh) NekoCon in Va Three times, and KatsuCon in Va twice. I love them and the parties and meeting new people and going to panels. I dont go to the Cosplay anymore since the line is always SUPER long and never fits everyone in. A waste of sitting in line. I LOVE the dealers room though I have to admit I bought something silly last time. A Big metal Key Blade! I love Kingdom hearts tho! <3 >.< lol
I Might be going to NekoCon this year with my brother, I hope that all works out.

I go to Colossal con in June and Ohayo con in January :3
I love going to cons though, it's seriously the highlight of my year.
Sadly, I wish I could go for all three days just once ;__;
I went to 2 days of Colossal con this past June.

My favorite part is definitely the cosplay, hands down.
I usually end up crossplaying little boys XD

Buying stuff is also a lot of funand then I usually
look all my stuff over on the ride home and then
my friends and I all trade and see what each other got.
Once I even made up little gifts for each of my friends.
Another thing is that I get to meet up with my friends whom
I don't normally get to see which is mucho fun.

I've always wanted to go to one. D= I was actualy planning on going to one this summer, but, I just never got around to doing it, I suppose. I had my costume ready and everything that I had worn for Halloween last year.

But, this year, I'm going to try my very best to go to one! I'll hopefully be making a Princess Zelda cosplay with my aunt for Halloween, so hopefull I can go to a con and just ware that! =3 Either that, or my other cosplay that I had made last year. Either would be good.

Oooh! I love anime conventions! ^-^ My first one was last year and apparently I didn't get to enjoy it that much since my friends kept rushing me.

But I've been to two this year! =D I love em both! The latest one which was last week was so much fun! It had five cons altogether! Horror, anime, gaming, sci-fi, and comics. =D

Yes, I did hug a stranger for the very first time. o.o; I bought an adorable piece of art from the girl and she was soo nice! At the end she gave me a big hug. ^^
