Eh. To be honest, I find all - or almost all - Americanized productions of anime and manga to be pathetic. Examples? Kappa Mikey. It was absolute torture to watch a single minute of it.
Avatar, which has been mentioned here, is one of the few exceptions in this range. Although it's not one of my favorite shows, Avatar is one of the few that is actually done well and with a fairly solid plot as well.
Anime is essentially a Japanese creation that is heavily influenced by their culture; that could be one reason why America's anime/manga works are so bad; most have a very narrow scope and perspective of the foundations of the style.

@Intoxicated
Kappa Mikey was more of a parody of anime in general....a parody that udderly failed at trying to resemble anything close to funny.

As for other shows that try to immiate anime....if they are good and entertain me I will watch them. If not then it only adds to the failure that they try and solely rely on impressionable kids thinking "Wow this must be anime because it looks like anime and acts like anime therefore its awsome."

That's true and I hate it when people say things like that.Origin should make no differnce.I'm a super anime addict, but I have no problem with Americans delving into the anime side.It could be interesting, and maybe some more good shows like Avatar will come along. So get over yourselves and watch some anime.
