I used my savings. I figured it would be better to have the items then have the gold that I would only be spending on commons XD Now next year I will be able to sell them off and get more commons then I would have been able to this year! XD

I'm hoping that I will eventually be able to use my extra sets in some sort of trade for a quest item.
The other limited edition item (Chocolate Cake Hat) has pretty much stayed the same price, but hopefully these will be more desirable.
