[XDDDD Both *dreams*]

I looked down at him, blushing a bit.
"So.. you really wanted to go out with me?" I scratched the back of my head, feeling a bit awkward at my harsh conclusion... and the fact he looked so darn cute with just his black tank and tight pants.
I was then yanked by my elbow, I almost lost my footing and caught myself before I flew into him. I sprinted behind him, his hand slid from my elbow to my wrist, dragging me on.
"H-hey! What kind of trouble??" I fumbled, almost tripping over a passing alley cat.
The sun was harsh today, I had wished I had shorts but I only had these jeans.. my last pair of shorts was swept away by the creek one night as it rained.
As we ran, an elderly couple just giggled as we ran past them in a flurry, I blushed in response and looked forward at Ed's bouncing ponytail.
What is he up to?

He nodded looking back at her.
"Yep."

Edward laughed to himself, only glancing back over his shoulder.
"I don't know, we'll just have to see when we see!" He waved as they past the two older people and ran on, impulsivness was never one of Ed's strong points, but he was starting to think it was fun.
"Anything in particular you want to do?" He asked stopping by a lamp post on the street. He glanced around as Shiba pondered, and noticed with a shudder this had been close to the place where he'd collapsed.

I blushed as he looked back and looked to the ground.

I smiled as he waved to the elderly couple... and wondered why he was in such a good mood. I ran on, breathing heavily, my heart racing, I looked up at his back, panting.
"N-nothing...really... do..you?" I said to him between breaths.
My eyes wandered about, seeing a few stores opening for shop, a bakery man giving out free cookies and an old man sitting on a roof overhead, waiting for his partner to bring his tools up. I yawned, and looked to the sky over head. Not a cloud in sight... and I was hot. I slowed my running, my arm slipping from his fingers and I finally just walked.
"Where.. are we going in such... a hurry?" I looked up at him, exhausted.

((Just makin' sure LOL))

He shook his head.
"Nope, I'm still kind of new to this place remember?." He thought for a moment, curling his hand under his chin and resting it on his other arm.
"You know...I'm not sure of that myself, but it's like...I've got to make the most of today, before...anything else happens." He didn't want to make mention that they might have to part...to Edward..that was the end all of end alls. If he had to say goodbye to Shiba before he told her everything...then that would be it for him, he was sure he'd lose it after that.

I nodded and looked to the ground.
"yeah I forgot.."
I looked up at him as he spoke of making the best of the day and I nodded, my lips cracking to a slight smile.
"Yea.. I agree.. while we're not angry with one another right??" I grinned and paced a bit faster, to walk beside him.
"Well lets see.. over there is the arcade.... they have shuffleboard and checkers... and over there is the pub that most guys try to pick me up at.. and oh! Theres the place we ate dinner at before, and you got drunk remember? That was so funny, thats when you told me I was pretty, but you probably don't remember cause you were so wasted." I giggled and walked on, pointing.
"Theres the bakery... they have the best muffins! And thats the post office..."

((XDDD So I'm not the only one huh? XDDDD, s'okay, my parents think I'm crazy, so you can't be that much worse than I am XDD))

Edward grimaced as she talked about the diner where they'd eaten.
"Don't remind me, I was sure my head was going to explode the day after that. I'm sure it would have if Ki--" He stopped and coughed, not wanting to start on a touchy subject...he had come to terms with not having the water sprite around...but he didn't want to chance it with Shiba. Instead he changed the subject.
"And on the contrary, I do remember. I was wasted, yes, but I have a fairly good memory of what happened." He sighed and looked around tapping his finger on his chin.
"Unfortunately." He kept pace, only lagging slightly behind her.
"Well...it's too hot for muffins...and too late in the day..." He wanted to avoid the pub if at all possible..no sense in getting into a fight now. As for the other places...well, there was nothing really that seemed to be going on...this wasn't like Central, where everyone and their brother was.
"Hmmm....any suggestions?"

"Kiri helped make you feel better, even though she didnt like you much.. she.. was a good person..." I smiled and looked to the ground, then back to him.
I coughed and laughed a bit.
"You like to tease me, dont you Edward? I'm... definitly not pretty..." I looked away, waving at the pub owner as we passed by.
"I used to waitress there for a short time, he always wants me to come back to work." I sighed, lowering my arm from the wave.
"i know if I cant find a good job.. I can always going back to there... wearing that skimpy...uniform.." I grimaced as one of the waitresses walked out, laughing and lighting up a cigarette. She wore a tube top and a short skirt, High heels and hair up in a frayed bun. I looked away.
"No suggestions.. I've lived here all my life, so nothing excites me much anymore.." I heard a splash and looked up, then smiled at him.
"Except for the pool..."

((So I've noticed LOL, XDDD Gonna make Ed go swimming huh? *Laughs* This should be fun.))

He sighed, he knew it would have been better to let sleeping dogs lie, but no, he had to go and open his big mouth. He nodded once and then let it drop.
"Lair." He muttered.
"You are." He all but glared at the owner as he waved and then grimaced at the thought of Shiba having to wear something like that out in public.

He smiled as her face lit up.
"Pool it is then. Lead the way."

[Ed... in A SPEEDO!!! *drool* XD]

I blushed and looked down at him, catching his glare to my old boss. I nudged him in the arm with my elbow.
"Knock that off, hes a great guy." I brushed off the fact he called me a liar and commented me so slyly again, and walked to the fence of the pool.
"We.. need bathing suits... theres a shop there, wanna go in??" I looked to him and pointed to the Poolside Mart across the street. The pool was huge, complete with a diving board and slide. I smiled at seeing some of the kids in the shallow end in swimmies. It had been so long since I swam in this pool... since my parents were alive, and I was a kid. It wasn't that crowded today, probably because it was a Wednesday, and most people had to work.
I took a hold of his hand and led him towards the store.
"C'mon this'll be fun!!" I said to him, smiling wide.

((Somehow I knew you were going to say something like that, XDD but for my sanity, you'll have to deal with him buying a pair of trunks.))

Edward shot her a feigned innocent look as he kept pace with her and passed by the owner, smiling sheepishly all the while.
"Sure." He said as he dug out his wallet, since Mustang had arrived, Edward had finally been able to put some money into his pockets by way of a local bank. He nodded counting out what funds he had left and then shrugged, what was a date without a little splurging now and again.
"Right behind you!" He said shooing her off in the direction of the shop.

Arriving at the shop,. the windows were filled with manikins sporting the latest fashions. I paused for a moment and pointed to a male manikin, wearing a Speedo.
"You should buy that one, you'd look hot." I whistled and dashed inside before my embarrassed eyes met with his dashing gaze.
As soon as I was inside I saw a rack of bikinis and pulled 5 off the rack and went into the dressing room to try them on.

Edward was almost on the verge of a heartattack as he gazed upon the stiff figure that seemed to sport the tiny bit of covering with nary a blush or complaint.
"Sorry," He muttered as she ran off.
"But I'm flesh and blood, not plaster...I think I'd have a hard time breathing." He grimaced almost comically and hurried off to a more 'covering' selection, picking up a pair of dark red trunks that seemed to suit him just fine.

[grawr.. the night I dont look for you early, you get on early... *hits self* what time u staying on until...? *flinches, waiting for response*]

I came out of the dressing room in a bright purple bikini, with a matching purple towel over my shoulder. On the right breast, there was a simple cat icon, and on the left it said "meow" as did it on the butt of the bottoms, it said "meow"
I looked to him, giving him a smile.
"What do ya think of this one? Too revealing..? i looked down at myself then back to him and I walked upt o him shifting though the rack of trunks.
"I found a matching towel and flip-flops! Im so excited! i kinda feel bad Al isnt here... but I guess he'd prefer us to be alone..."

((XDD Yeah I'm r3tarded like that. *Glances at watch...then throws it out window* As long as you want me to...within reason LOL XDD))

Edward glanced over the racks at where Shiba had emerged. Cute didn't do her justice...and he felt as though hot would be a little crude given the circumstances...so he settled with a:
"Beautiful." He simply nodded, noting with amusement how her face really lit up when she was excited like this.
"Mmm. Al probably wants to stay there and enjoy the hot spring while you and I are out and take all the time in the world in there, knowing full well that I'd get on to him if he got too hot." He chuckled and shook his head, this was the first time, if ever, he'd saw Shiba enjoying herself, really letting go and enjoying herself...this pool thing must really mean something to her.

I blushed and nodded.
"Thanks... I hope youre not just saying that.... i feel like it makes me look fat.." I turned around and flashed my back to him. It was a tie tip bikini- it ties around my neck and back, and on the sides.
"Oh well the pool isnt crowded, so only you'll see my fat ass" I chuckled and looked at the suit he had in his hand.
"Is that the one youre getting??" I looked over his shoulder at the suit.

Edward feigned innocence and looked at her his mouth agape.
"Now Shiba, why on earth would I just say that if I didn't mean it. I'm a guy....we can't lie that easily." He smiled nodding approvingly, and then twitched.
"Is not fat." He muttered low to her so that only she would hear...and not the little old lady two racks down. ((Remember her?? LOL))He nodded, and looked down at his hands, the trunks crumpled into a wad, since he didn't have anywhere else to put them.
"I was thinking about it, they're light and roomy." He grinned.
"Now I only have to worry about losing them in the pool."

I shrugged, smile fading.
"i donno.. guys tend to lie to make the girl feel better.. I mean, its not like youd tell me I look fat and ugly in this.." I winked at him and whispered back:
"Thanks for telling me I'm not fat..." [YEAH I REMEMBER HER XDXDX damn lady ish a stalker...]
I quirked an eyebrow at him, grinning again.
"Roomy huh?? That tells me alot..." I giggled then laughed a little louder.
"Now I have to get you to pose nude before we part ways..." I snickered even wider.
"Remind me to make your dive off the diving board, huh??" I blushed at the thought of his trunks floating beside him as he popped his head up and I covered my red face.
'C'mon before it gets dark!" i took a grip on his hand and headed for the counter.

((I can see her now, poking her head over rows of swimsuits to listen in LOL, it's ok, we can lie and say that Shiba's Catholic too XDDD

"Of course not, especially when it's the farthest from the truth." He returned her wink and leaned on the row and smirked.
"It's the truth you know." He gulped, stepping back, realizing that he'd probably just sealed his fate with that innocent flirt.
Oh well. It's one hell of a way to go. he shrugged.
"Alright, alright." He sighed with a hint of laughter as she drug him to the front, without a word he paid for both of their suits before Shiba could protest and swiftly tucked his wallet back into his pants grinning from ear to ear.
"What? It wouldn't be a date if I let you pay for anything, now would it?"

I squeed a little at his amber eye winking at me and that flirtatious grin of his... he was so tempting..
I laughed as he stepped back, and I poked his nose.
"Youre so cute when youre flustered, you know that right?" I said this him, leaning in close.

I bowed slightly to him...then stopped in mid-bow and looked at him.
"A D-date?? I thought we were...okay.." I grinned, thanking him again for paying for my suit.
Stepping outside, I tucked my clothes into a paper bag with handles the shop keeper had given me-she didnt mind I wore the suit and paid for it on the spot- most people did that anyway, seeing the pool was across the street.

"So..." I said quietly as we walked back towards the pool. I adjusted the towel I had slung around my neck and looked to the cloudless sky.

He chuckled, more to hide the fact that he was growing about as red as his shorts were than in actual humor. But what the hey, it was Shiba, she did that to him.

He was glad that she didn't start arguing with him there on the spot about calling this 'outing' a 'date' but then again, what was it when a boy and a girl were out alone together...and headed straight for a pool during the hot of the day? A D-A-T-E, or so the Mustang in his head rang. Blast it all, couldn't he take a vacation once in a while!?

"So?" He queried, stuffing his bag under his arm. There was a bit of foliage around the pool area, and it faced away from the street, so a quick dodge into them and Edward could change leaving his belongings in the safety of the dark undergrowth.

[poor amanda will have no idea what were talking about.. I keep telling her to read Angelic Twins, but shes dreads cause its long.. and youre gonna have Ed change in the bushes?? *grabs binoculars*]

I looked down at him, still blushing a bit and sighed, looking to the pool. There were now only a few kids in the shallow end, I glanced at my watch. 2:03 pm.

"Uhm, so, what did you and Al plan on doing after the resort? Are you guys gonna go back to Risembool and see Winry??" their conversation that I listened in on suddenly rushed into my head and that word that Ed had mentioned..."Love"... it was hard to even think, or believe, he could feel that way towards me... I doubt he knew how much I was in love with him... I tried not to give my secret away, but I'm sure Kiri did that for me, and thats why Alphonse did all that he did-for us to be together, like I wished for.

Entering the pool area, I plopped my bag on a reclined chair under a shady tree, away from all the other people and I pulled off my flip flops. I pulled out a bottle of sunscreen I had Ed pay for as well and poured some into my palm, sitting down on the chair.
"Corny, yes, but I burn easily... would you mind getting my back for me??" I squished my hands together and rubbed the lotion over my arms, shoulders, the top of my chest, stomach, and thighs and whatever was left, on my face. I took off my glasses and stuffed them into my bag. Now, my skin shone, as I handed the bottle off to the still clothed Edward.
"Arent you getting changed...?" I quirked an eyebrow at him- he was the only fully dressed person here.

Edward shrugged.
"No clue, we really should go back and show them that we got our bodies back...but after that...I'm not sure, we may get the itch and go rambling again, after all it's not like we have a house there anymore."
((OMG XDDDD *falls out of chair* that's so cliche it's hard not to laugh!))

Edward quirked an eyebrow and nodded, thinking nothing of it as he...he chuckled at the thought...'greased' her back for her.
"Are you sure this isn't leftover vegetable oil?" He asked.
"Enough so that you 'bake' and don't 'broil'?"
He nodded, finishing up.
"Yeah, hang on and I'll be right back." With he exit, he made a mad dash for the bushes and stripped quickly, laying aside all his things before moving back out into the open, sure that no one was going to be staring at him. He could hear it now:
'mommy why is that boy coming out of the bushes?'
'it's not polite to stare dear.' He laughed to himself unable to keep it inside.
"Well?" He asked throwing his arms out for Shiba's scrutiny.
"Too revealing?"

"She and her grandma have a right to know... now she may have to find a real job, other than being your automial mechanic. She'll havta find another source of income other than you..."
I thought for a moment and looked to him over my shoulder as he applied the lotion... his hands were so warm.
"Why.. don't you guys just transmute a place..?"
i made a face and hunched over for him.
"Its not oil.. if it was I'd be a slice of bacon by the end of today... and I dont tan either, if thats what youre trying to ask.." I glanced over my shoulder at him again as he ran into the bushes and I made a face.
"He sure must like to change in the woods... theres a bothroom across the way..." I shrugged it off as he came bouncing back.
I blushed... the last time I really saw him conscious and this bare was when he posed for me. i saw him in his underwear when he was passed out in the hot spring, but he didnt need to know all that. I covered my eyes and giggled.
"you... dont wanna know what I think, really." I stood and readied myself for the water, tightening the ties on my hips and around my neck.

"I guess so." He laughed.
"I doubt that, Granny's life is her automail, same for Winry, and even if they don't have me, there's a lot of other people in Resembool that have artifical limbs that they take care of." His smiled faded a bit and he shook his head.
"That's not the point of not having a house...we..we burned it all down..so that we couldn't look back." He smirked back at her, the silence that followed too unnerving.
"Bacon sounds yummy."

He pouted, arms flopping to his side.
"Aww, not even a little bit?"

"I guess thats a good thing, they'll still have work. But... I have a feeling Wsinry will miss working on your arm and leg." [i forget, did you say before he had the scars on this leg and shoulder where his automail was attached??]

I closed my eyes, my smile fading all together at the thought of burning down your own home... memories, and belongings.
"Well.. why not transmute a home here in East City? Its not Risembool but this city is nice. You'll probably have to pay land taxes, but thats to be expected. And, it wont be looking back.. it will be looking ahead."
I gave him a look and stuck out my tongue.
"I like bacon too."

I laughed and walked up to him, looking down into his eyes.
"You really wanna know huh? Well..." I bent over and whispered into his ear, my lips almost touching his lobe.
"Not revealing enough, bit you still.. look hot." I giggled and ran off, jumping into the water before he had a chance to respond, or react to what I had said. I emerged in the center of the pool, in 5ft water and waved to him, pulling up my top that slid down a tad from the jump.
"C'mon it feels great!!!"
