I grimaced at the thought of having nerves attached to automail. I wiggled my automail foot under the water, almost forgetting I had automail of my own. I was unconscious when mine was attached...
"Do you think you'll buy or rent anywhere..?" asked quietly, unsure if he heard me.

I laughed hysterically, blocking the splashing water from hitting me and I looked around for him. I could only see the waving of blond hair under the water nearby and I waited for him to emerge.

((Born and Bred XDD Nascar is the only sport that you can fall asleep for three hours and not miss anything, course I can't say anything, cause I don't watch football games until the fourth quarter. LOL))

"Mmmmm...I haven't thought about it, always lived for the day...." His eyes softened to warm honey.

He turned effortlessly under the water and did a corkscrew befor bobbing to the surface behind Shiba, with a gasp and a shake of his head.
"GAH! It's c-c-old when you f-first jump in isn't it?" He shook off the quivers that were winding up and down his spine before smiling widely.

I saw his eyes and bushed and looked away quickly...those eyes could easily melt me away. I also lived for the moment... during the summer anyway.

I about faced and laughed at him.
"Aww is Edward cold? I was at first.." i crossed my arm over my breasts, hiding you-know-what and blushed, then sighed.
"We only have 2 days left at the resort.. then... I should find a summer job, and you'll be on your way... right?" Water dripped from my messy wet hair and I looked into his eyes, my smile fading altogether at the thought of our parting day.
"Good times... never seem to last.. huh?" I said to him, looking at something other than his eyes.

He nodded, it was cold, but he thrashed under the water to keep a float. Edward stopped and thought a moment.
"I guess so, I need to head home like you said..." He looked over at her and cocked his head.
"Maybe not, but they pave the way for more." He looked into the bright, clear sky and sighed, everytime he talked of leaving it was like he and Shiba would never see each other again...but though it wasn't likely, he figured it would happen. Even if he had to come back here and search for her.

I brought my arms up over behind my head and yawned and looked away.
"Yeah.. more good times.." i looked to him and swam closer to him and ran my finger down the bridge of his nose.
"So... is there anything you ever wanted to do that you couldn't because you had automail??" I remained close to him, almost touching. The crystal blue water reflected off my face as OI waited for an answer.

"Hmm...not really...I guess Al was always the one that would have more things to do as soon as we got our bodies back...unless..." He lifted his right arm and reached under the water interlacing his fingers with Shiba's, lifting them again, out of the water.
"..Unless you count this..." He averted his gaze, dropping her hand and using his to scratch behind his head.
"Ah..s-sorry...that was kind of forward of me..."

I nodded and closed my eyes.
"I guess that's true, he's been like that for what... 8 years? I bet he cant wait to fall in love and feel the loving embrace of another human." I was about to scratch my face when my hand was gripped by his and I blushed and looked to him; his hands were so cold, probably from the water.
"E-Ed.. I do count that.." My hand was dropped from his and I made a pout face.
"It's alright... youv'e done worse ya know... and I never complained.." I about faced and looked to the sky.
"It's so hot today... are you gonna go off the diving board for me?" I grinned, looking over my shoulder at him out of the corner of my eye.
"I'm hoping you'll have a trouser accident.." I muttered, unsure if he heard me or not.

He stuck his tounge out at her and smirked around it.
"Meh, that was one time, and then it was by accident." He scratched the back of his head again referring to the last bath house that they'd visited.
He turned back with a slight jerk and a grin, quirking his eyebrow as he glanced from Shiba to the board.
"I bet you are."He chuckled.
"You just want to see me belly-flop." In truth...that was about the only dive he'd been able to learn in his youth...didn't do much for the ladies, but it was great fun if it splashed someone...especially Al.

I laughed and looked back to him.
"Not just that time.. did you forget the time you hugged me from behind when I was practically naked in the resort room?? About... two days ago?? I had my kimono open because I was so hot and you came out of nowhere from behind and hugged me?" I blushed- talking about this stuff with him was kinda of embarrassing, but he was the one who did all the actions we spoke of.

I squeaked and splashed a bit of water at him.
"HEY now!!" I said hysterically laughing and nodded furiously.
"Yeah, I'm actually an excellent diver and swimmer, but I'd love to see your skills Ed, before I whoop you in everything you do." I pushed the wet hair from his eyes and ran my fingers softly across his cheek before running/swimming away as fast as I could to the deep end where I climbed out the side and walked over towards the diving board. I adjusted my top and bottoms a bit; I should have gotten a tighter size, or at least knotted the ties.

((OMMGGGEEESSSS Finals suck!! >.> I swear until I'm out of school this time, I'm going to have NO time whatsoever to myself. >.>))

Edward flushed and groaned. Oh yeahhhh....that too.....he had tried not to let Shiba know that he'd noticed...but obviously that hadn't worked out too well..
"Yeah, well....that...ah hell, fine, twice then." He grinned slyly, he'd admitted twice that he and Shiba had been caught in compromising situations..but anymore and he'd deny it all!

He let his jaw drop and turn up into a one-sided smirk.
"Oh really?" He questioned.
And how do you expect to do..." Edward trailed off as Shiba's hand brushed over his face and then nodded.
"Oh...that's how.." As soon as he straightened out his thoughts he headed after her.
"Cheater." He smirked hopping out to sit on the rim of the pool next to where she stood.
"And come to think of it, you might have that trouser accident instead of me, better double knot those strings Shiba."

[I hear yah... *le sigh* but Im actually still finding time to pop on at night and look for you for a few hours... >.> after this week, im done my finals and my semester is officially over]

"Then, there was that time when we first met, you practically held on to me tightly from behind again, and we fell asleep together..." I said, making my way towards the diving board.
I looked over at him as he jumped out onto the side of the pool... his braid was a wet mess, and the water glistened off his body.... I grinned to myself, thinking how beautiful he really was... especially in the innocence of the sunlight.
"Aww, you dont want me to?" I blushed, responding to him. I bent to one side and untied the right carefully and knotted it, then the left then around my neck- I couldn't reach my back and I just brushed it off.

I slowly took the stairs to the diving board- the pool area seemed to grow silent as all the people attending watched in awe as I took elevation on the board about 12 feet over the pool. I heard a whistle from the crowd gathering below- I brushed it off and stood straight at the end of the board. It grew silent.

"Alright already!" He said with a chuckle.
"How much of the last few weeks are you going to hold against me?" He merely grinned like a cheshire cat and left it at that.

Edward watched, it had been a while since he'd seen anyone dive from so high, and he wondered how well Shiba was at this...sure she'd said she was awesome, but that remained to be seen..he waited, fidgeting on the edge of the pool.

[im suprized he didnt kill the one who whisteled at her LOL]

I winked at him from above.
"I'm not holding anything against you... these past few weeks Ill never forget.." I spread my arms and closed my eyes and then whipped my head and eyes up and made a dash for the edge of the diving board. I pressed my weight down at the edge of the board, jumping off and straight into the air, plummeting downwards and made a perfect dive. I popped my head out on the side of the pool beside his feet and smiled at him, not even realizing my top was on the OTHER side of the pool.
"How was that? I'd like to see you try that!" I kept afloat, and keeping only my head above the water.
One of the guys on the other side whistled at me and I groaned.
"Dont those guys ever get tired of that??"

Edward smiled and nodded, glad to know that they were all squared away, but as she dropped from the board into the water, his jaw dropped in amazement.
"Shiba that was--!" He stopped as she came up beside him...and blinked, oblivious to the latest whistle.
"Umm..S-Shiba.." He turned away, hiding his face with a hand and pointed downward.
"You...you might want to check..umm..y-your suit....umm...top." Great, and here he'd wanted to avoid this kind of situation. Edward sighed and blushed furiously.

[XDDDD HES SO SHY!!! XDD *DIES from blushing* I wish my aunt would get outta the bathroom... i gotta PEEEEEE *dies again, but with a legit reason this time*]

I smiled up at him, then it faded as I stared at his red face as he turned away.
"My.. huh?" I looked down and squeaked and covered my D's with my left arm and looked around furiously for my top. One of the guys whistled at me and I looked up at him; he was towering, muscular and very oily. He was swinging my top between his fingers.
"Hey sweety, want this? Come out and get it." He grinned though yellow teeth; I grimaced and blushed, then with a heavy sigh, I stepped carefully up the ladder beside Edward, holding on with one hand, my other keeping a tight grip over my breasts. i started to make my way around to the other side of the pool, where he was waiting, practically drooling.

Edward looked back horrified. keeping his eyes glued to her face.
"Shiba! Stay in there. I'll get it back." He heaved to his feet with a swing of his arms and balanced on the rim of the pool before making his way around. It was already embarrassing for something like that to happen, but with this guy..that just made it worse.
"Alright buddy, you've had your fun, now give the lady back her top." He said holding out his hand and awaiting the garment.
"She can't stay in the water all day."

I stopped in my tracks and watched him walk past. My face was beet red from this situation as it was and now... he was gonna get it back for me? Stand up for me?? I could almost cry..
I jumped back into the pool quickly and stayed emerged on the side closest to the towering ugly man, keeping a hold on the side of the pool, my other arm still over my chest.

He grinned, his honkeys surrounded him, flexing in their speedos, one with rolls hanging over the sides of his speedos...
I groaned and thought Oh mah gawd... that should be illegal... I looked on.
He grinned and tucked it into the back of his shorts.
"And what are you gonna do shrimp, if I dont want to give them back to her? What, are you her keeper.. or are you the pet??" One of his friends nudged him in the side, all started to hysterically laugh. Compared to the guys surrounding him, Ed was the equivalent of a kitten faced with a great dane.

"Shrimp?" Edward's eye twitched...and then twitched again.
"Did you say 'Shrimp'? This 'Shrimp' is going to show you that numbers don't always compensate for brains." His hands clenched and he smiled angrily.
"Keeper? Pet? Niether you hulking Neanderthal, I'm the one taking her out today, therefore, her protector. Kay? Now...her top if you would."

"Yeah, you heard me pipsqueak, S-H-R-I-M-P! Whats the matteh, didnt cha go to school, yeh mook?" (new york accent XD) He and his group laughed again and nudged him in the shoulder, keeping the top tucked neatly under his shorts elastic.

"Dont 'cha think little missy over there should stand up for herself?" he pointed to her and winked.
"You and me baby, dinner tonight, my treat whaddya say?"
I flipped him off.
"Not in a million years, bucko. Better do what my friend says, or youll regret it..." I said calmly.
He clenched his teeth and placed a huge, firm hand over Eds head.
"What, you mean this little guy? He can't do nuthin'! He's a midget!"
I shook my head in response.

Edward stifled a laugh.
Mook? Did you go to school buddy? No one uses mook...

"Now, if she stood up for herself, what would be the point of me coming all the way out here? Surely that should count for something."
He was trying to be polite...really he was, but it was the last straw when that hand...that huge clammy hand clamped roughly onto his head.
"THAT'S IT!!!!" Edward fast as lightning, whirled under the man's weight and grabbed his wrist as he went, twisting it up behind him so that his wrist met his shoulder blade in a very uncomfortable position.
"I tried to be nice moron, but that 'midget' comment...just dug your grave."

[XDDD I was waiting for him to get pissed XD *Ed mews and runs off, and gets scooped up by Al, in his scary armor XD*]

"The point of you coming out here, was to bring her to me, she dont wanna be with a little blond cupcake like you."
I screamed back, in his defense.
"I DO SO WANNA BE WITH EDWARD! YOU IDIOTS ARE JUST JEALOUS CAUSE HE'S THE CUTEST GUY HERE!"
With an eyebrow twitch, he looked to me.
"You little bitch, youll regret---" he was cut off by Ed practically climbing up onto his shoulders and wrestling his arm to his back. he let out a squeak and heaved his other hand around his back and into Ed's side.
"Get off me, yah midget!!!" He yelled, one of his friends made a grab for Ed's foot.
I watched on in horror. The last thing I wanted to see was Ed get hurt because of me.

It was almost comical, the way that Edward's face went so dumbfounded and then so dark and angry so suddenly...well, it was funny to everyone, but the unfourtunate band of steriod jockeys. He looked back as one tried to grab hold of his ankle, but his joints were smaller than their's and easier to move. With a very dancer-esque move, he'd placed his hands on the other man's back and with his own weight bent him at the waist to whirl his legs around like a gymnast, out of danger and in front of the leader, taking his arm with him.
"This must really be getting uncomfortable by now." He said seriously. The idiot was bent over, arm twisted around and held out along his head, while the rest of him tried so hard not to overbalance.
"I'll take that thank you." He said deftly plucking Shiba's top out of his swimwear. He tossed it to her and let the other man stand to his feet.
"There now, that was all you had to do."

[I wanted him to get mad... he needs to defend his woman XD
"Dont worry little kitty! I know a GOOD home for you... *heads to Mustangs house*]

I watched in utter amazement and awe as Edward took on the oxen of men, and with his swift, bold and yet angelic movements, managed to grab my top, defend himself and make the 2 morons look like jakasses. I expected him to go all alchemical on them.. but this show was even better. A half naked Ed fighting two ugly brutes in MY honor? I was touched.

The guy who had taken her top let out a loud grunt as his arm was pulled harder, and his friend now back to back with him, both in very uncomfortable positions.
"You little bastard.."
A loud whistle and the tall, muscular man walked up posing.
"EDWARD! is that anyway to treat your pool buddies? Frankie, Josh, youre banned from the pool for the rest of the season. Leave now." They did as they were told and left, without a word or a second glance.
Armstrong smiled and plucked Edward off the ground and gave him a spine cracking hug. Pink sparkles around, he put him back down and waved to me, tieing my top around my neck.
"Hello there Miss Shiba. I see Edward is taking very good care of you on this fine day."
I climbed out of the pool and stood beside Edward.
"He sure is" I looked to him worriedly.
"Hey are you alright? He landed a hard one in your side, from what I could make out."

Edward hopped backward and then looked behnd him, that whistle hadn't been expected, he let out a groan, neither had the 'Sparklie' Alchemist.
"What are you doing here Major?" He managed to squeak out before feeling his spine break in half.
He coughed, pounding his chest to catch his breath as Shiba climbed out of the water.
"Huh? Oh really?" He looked down at his side, dark and brusing.
"Wow..I guess he did, didn't he?" Edward shrugged it off.
"Eh, it doesn't hurt any."
