"You'll live, child, but for now, you have to be supportive, who knows." Pinako said with a wink as she moved to the door.
"Ed may change his mind. You never can tell with that boy....but..I wouldn't hold my breath."

"Of course." Edward removed his shoes, and placed them next to Shiba's as he moved inside, laying aside his coat and gloves, having only picked them up as he ducked out of Winry's room as fast as he could.
"Shiba, we didn't fight if that's what you're worried about...I just told her the truth..that's all, I think she's a little upset...well, more like sure that she's upset, but still, I'm not sorry for what I did. She had a right to know."

"Youre right, Granny..." With a long sigh, she stood up and walked to the door.
"As for now though, i'm starving" her stomach grumbled loudly and she smiled sheepishly.

I looked to him as he climbed in so gently, and his gloves; they were even off too, wish was a rare and unusual occasion. Most of the time when and if he touched me, he was wearing his gloves, so I never really felt a physical fleshy hand.
"I know, i just feel like I invaded on her...love interest... maybe, you should give her a chance? Besides, shes free, and can probably join you in that house you want so badly. Me... I can barely support myself and I'm still in school. Automail mechanics got the green; art is not where the money is this day and age... i just hope... youre not making a mistake. I was ready to accept the idea of you and her pairing off. I.. expected it, really." I shrugged, looking at my nails, which needed a manicure badly. My glasses werne't on my face; they were on top of my bag at my side; I decided to keep them off for the time being.
"You sleeping inside tonight? I bet you can't wait for a warm bed."

"Of course I'm right, I'm always right, even when I'm wrong." Pinako smiled at the rumbling's of her child's stomach and jerked a thumb to the lower section of the house.
"There's still some stew left, that is if you think you're hungry enough."

Edward.....stared. That's it, he just stared as Shiba rambled on and on, finally when she started to worry about Winry and him pairing off again, he slid closer and gently pressed their lips together, effectivly shutting her up.
"Shi~ba." He smiled.
"Don't. Worry. I've made my choice, and I'm happy with it." He looked around.
"Hmmm...hadn't thought about it, might just stay out here." He grinned slyly, casting a sideways glance at her.

She giggled a bit and nodded. "Im always hungry for your stew."

My eyes were wide as he had leaned in for that unexpected kiss and I almost fell over. My heart raced... i had never thought our first kiss would be... like that..
I licked my lips as he pulled away; they were so chapped and a mess and I hadn't planned for this oh god! What should I do???
"Ed..ward...Uhm.." I decided it best not to talk about what just happened; my heart in my throat wouldn't allow it.
"I hope youre right..." i whispered.
I caught his sideways glance and smiled cutely at him.
"I don't mind. It's a small tent, but I think we'll manage." I looked him in his eyes and could only smile, still blushing. I pushed his eyelids down gently.
"Are you tired??" I asked him, standing up a bit and slipping out of my jeans, revealing pink panties. I rummaged though my pack and found a pair of shorts and slipped into them and sat back down.
"You can open your eyes now." I said sweetly.
"I don't know why I made you close your eyes, you have seen me naked already, so what, and why am I hiding.." I scratched the back of my head and only grinned.
I poked at his knee.
"Aren't you hot in them long leather pants?"

"Good, cuz with all this ruckus, I'm sure no one else has a stomach for it."

"I'm always right, even when I'm wrong." He smiled and chuckled as she closed his eyes, he wasn't sure what for, but when he opened them again, he saw why.
"Hey," He laughed.
"That was on accident, I thought you were getting killed in there." He shook his head.
"Nu uh, too much stuff is running around in my head for me to be tired. That run in with Roy, worrying about you...and getting yelled at by memories...honestly, people are going to think I'm crazy." He looked down.
"Not particuraly, I guess I'm just used to them. That's all."

[*kitty face back* XD]

"Oh sure, an accident, your eyes seemed to look me up and down quite a few times though huh?" I poked his cheek then I squeaked and blushed.
"I saw you naked... almost naked, too you know... ohh~ that image is burned into my memory for eternity[still need to finish that art...], until a new one comes along that is.." I pawed at his arm and grinned, pulling out my brush and brushing my short hair. I closed my eyes doing so; it was extremely relaxing.
"Oh you saw Roy too? He said hello to me then wandered off."
I finished brushing and offered him the brush.
"Its humid tonight, plus I'm not too fond of being restricted in clothing as I sleep. If i had it my way, I'd be in just underwear." I laughed.

Edward laughed, the thought was funny to him now, how Shiba had gotten him stripped down in that small hotel room, all for a picture too.
"Yeah, how could I forget?"

Ed turned and looked at her his head cocked.
"Yeah,? The Colonel came by here? What did he say?"
He shook his head and declined the brush, even though his hair was messy and little locks were sticking out everywhere, he didn't seem to notice.

"I bet you would too." He muttered with a smirk.
"But then again, I really can't blame you."

I shook my head.
"I dont know, you seemed pretty traumatized while you sat there, thats why i couldn't do it. And I dont think I can ever put you in a position like that again, for my sake." I yawned.
I shrugged.
"He just was all non-chelant about stuff and seemed like he knew all the answers. He knew about what was going on though, that's for sure. He wasn't here long."

I groaned as he declined the brush and I put my hand son my hips, still sitting and holding the brush.
"Come here, Ed. Your hair is a mess; if you won't take care of it, I will. I miss my long hair, remember, I cut it for your sake of not getting caught."

I sighed and nodded.
"When I was out on my own, I was always sleeping in just my bra and panties;l there was noone really around to see, so I didnt mind." I waved him over.

"I wouldn't worry about it." He laughed and waved his hand in front of his face tilting his head to one side.
"It's allright."

"Hmm...well he did say that he was looking for Scar...I guess he thought he was in the area." He looked over at Shiba.
"By the way, was that who you were talking to when we found you? Al seemed to think so.." He rubbed his ribs.
"He really seemed to think so."

He smiled and scooted closer.
"Fine, I'll conceed that...for another kiss." (OH I"m EVIL! X33)
"Well, what are you going to do now? That you're out in the Rockbell's front yard?"

"I try not to because I dont plan to ever ask you to do that again."

I nodded.
"Yeah It was Scar. He..seemed so different. He wasnt looking for you two, I think... he just needed to talk, ya know? To someone he could trust..." I shrugged.
"He said he wished Kiri would have been like me if she were human.. I'm pretty sure he misses her alot.."

I leaned back, turning completely red.
"hey hey now, that was all your idea last time buddy!" I waved my hands back and fourth, face beet read and eyes closed.
"If you don't want your hair brushed, just say so.." I crossed my arms, putting the brush in my lap and looked away, and tried to ignore the fact his leg was against mine.

I grinned like a cat.
"I donno, and youre planning to sleep out here, so Ill keep in these shorts and tank. Unless you have..other plans..." I winked at him, and looked away again, trying hard to hide my red face.

"Why not?"

"Then the Colonel must be right behind him...it would be awkward for them to meet now, if Scar's acting like you said." He sat back on his hands and sighed.
"I guess he misses her...like I'd miss you or Al, like you're not whole."

He smiled.
"Awww, you're no fun, I was hoping for another one."
"Not right now, no." He teased.
"There are still people awake."

I lifted my eyebrows in response at him.
"Because you squirmed like a worm naked infront of me. I dont need you to feel embarrassed or awkward around me after I do a painting of you. Id rather not do a painting than risk our...relationship.."

I nodded.
"If Roy were to start a fight with Scar now, I dont think he'd have the heart or will to fight back. He seemed like he was still mourning.." I shoved the brush back into my bag and let a yawn slip though my teeth. I looked out the tent window I had unzipped a bit and the lights were out in the Rockbell house. It had to be late.

I puffed out my cheeks.
"Youre...something else, Edward Elric..." I folded my arms and nudged his shoulder.
"DIRTBALL!"

Edward scoffed with a smile and sighed.
"Alright, fussy pants."

"Then let's hope nither one of them find each other." For all his threats, and close calls, Edward couldn't find it in himself to wish the Ishvarlan dead, not after spending so much time with Kiri, and watching how he smiled around her and Shiba...he just couldn't do it.

He fell back from the slight nudge and cracked up, scissoring his legs in the small space.
"AHAHAHAHAHAAA!!" He chortled, barely catching his breath before starting into a fresh set.

I cocked my head to the side and leaned back on my hands as well, puffing out my chest and I closed my eyes.
"Why you pout? You wanna be naked for me again?"

[scissoring, i'm guessing indian-style sitting]
I blushed profusely and to shut him up from his unbelievable loud laughter, I leaned in, pulling him towards me by the braid and kissed him passionately, closing my eyes, keeping the embarrassment of the motion all to myself. After his face was to mine, I loosened my tight grip on his hair and slid it up to the back of his head, keeping him there... in the clutches of my loving embrace. I placed my right palm on his cheek, my fingers under his jaw, and kept my lips only pressed to his for as long as he would allow. I let him choose the next move.

He smiled and chuckled, she was so cute when she pouted.

Edward's laughing fit was cut short as he smiled into Shiba's kiss.
'Bout bloody time. He thought as he slid his own hand over hers on his face. He pulled back a moment to breathe.
"....You never told me you were any good at that." He said between breaths, smiling. His face was a bright pink.

"Maybe??!!!" My eyes grew huge.

I got goosebumps as his hand slid over mine; finally, I felt the flesh of his fingers, instead of those damned gloves. I almost choked when he pulled away; I didnt expect it. I looked into his eyes for a brief moment, mine practically watering from all the redness in my face and I looked away, pushing my hands into my lap quickly.
"Yeah, well... I never did that before...so..." My cheeks were so red, I felt like my face was on fire. I just wanted to die. Was he judging me? Did he hate me now? Was I too... front about it?? My mind was racing as to what i should do next. Should I leave the tent, and just make another one for myself? Should I go to sleep? Should...can I even look at him after a move like that?? My heart was racing...I loved him so much, i treaded on this love thing so carefully... I didn't want him to get the wrong idea about me. The last thing I wanted was to sleep right now, and for us to be apart. I would do anything he wanted, at this point. I was jelly in his hands...

((Yeah, comic-ey pages. Pfft, no he didn't pay me. He was actually supposed to teach me how to make sprite comics, but he only gave me one tutorial...and that was on Megaman...¬_¬))

He laughed again, only not as loud, and he shook his head.
"Relax, not unless you want me to."

Edward leaned to one side, and then swerved to the other.
"Wow." Was all he could manage.
"I mean.....WOW." His face was one big stupid grin and he hummed to himself as he seemed to float on cloud nine.
"You're.....you're really good.." He said at last.

[hmm...sounds like a jerk...]

I smiled like a Cheshire cat.
"believe me, id give ANYTHING to see you naked again.= But I dont want to jeopardize what we have, so no. If Im ever going to see you naked like that... I want it to be because you want me to see you, not because I want to paint you... if that makes any sense.." In my mind, it didnt, but in words, I wasn't sure he would understand what I meant.

I groaned, keeping my eyes, and my face pretty much out of his view.
"So...I guess you've had other kisses, so you can compare?" Its what I had always feared; being compared to another. My dreams felt shot now and I felt like I was falling into a black whole of jealousy. Now I had a urge to get out of the tent and away from him...My mind kept telling me this was wrong, but something kept my body still; probably the grin I could feel him grinning behind me...I probably would never know. For some reason, tears rolled down my cheeks. Thankfully, I wasn't facing him, so he wouldn't see. I dont know why I was crying... happiness? Sadness, because I knew this feeling would come to an abrupt end some time soon? Surely, Roy would want him back on a leash very soon...

Edward blinked.
"Okayyyy....I guess I understand..." Not.

He blinked again and looked over.
"Not really..." Those cheek pecks didn't count.
"Even if I did, you're on a completely diffrent level Shiba....you're the one I love."
He scooted closer and brushed her face with a finger taking her tears with it.
"Shiba?" He asked quietly.
"what's wrong? Was it something I said?"

[KK...? GAHHHH nyaaa!!!!*emo sets in*]

I groaned... i knew he wouldn't understand.
"Ed..." I sighed, thinking of a way to put it into simple terms.
"When we feel more comfortable with one another... uhm.." My face gret brighter red as I spoke with my back to him still.
"Maybe I'll want to show you my whole body some day... and let you have me...body and soul..." My voice shook as I said those words...maybe he would understand now..?

Those words echoed in my head... 'the one I love." ive longed to hear them words from his lips for so long, but why did it pain me so to hear them as well? His finger suprized me and I flinched a bit, then i turned to look at him.
"No, its not you, its me... I... i'm trying to handle this very delicately, and I'm trying not to screw things up. I'm...so happy and warm with you, and I feel like I can tell you anything, but I know this won't last, and it hurts knowing you could be pulled from my arms at any moment..." I rubbed my eyes, turning around to face him again, still sitting indian style myself.
"I..just love you so much, and I don't want to ever lose you, or be apart from you... I'm just feeling alot of mixed emotions and stuff right now, and I'm unsure what to do about it. I never felt this way about anyone before..."

((Ish freezing her butt off in room XDD And here I thought spring had come!))

"OOOOoooooohhhhhhh." He said, his mouth mimicking his words, comically drawn into a wide 'O'
"I get it now...okay." ((Rwar! cannot type with band-aid on! *takes off* there much better))

Edward simply tugged Shiba into an embrace and held her there.
"Then....for the time that we have....let it all out while I'm still here to comfort you."

I nodded, still pink.
"Yeah, and if you ever feel that comfortable with me, then maybe youll do the same."

I was caught off gaurd by his embrace and was tense for a second then... i relaxed and buried my face into his chest, wrapping my arms around his back.
"I don't.. want you to leave me... I dont think i can go though another pain of loss again..."

((Aww, you tired? That's gotta suck! What'd you go to NY for? Sounds fun though.))

He smiled and nodded.
"If I have my way, we'll have the rest of our lives to figure it out." He winked and chuckled."

Edward didn't say anything, but only squeezed her tighter.
"Then I won't go...I'll be right here. As long as you want me."

[yeah. we went to Society of Illustrators. It was ok. Then we spent like 3 hrs wandering around, taking photos, went into a Sanrio store and stuff. It was cool, just wish we had more time. We went into this pet store and OMFG there was this fluffy kitten, and I was in love. she was a himalyan/persian mix, amanda should be loading the photos soon, ill show her to you but she was so sweet, she did was purrr and play with my hat.]

I looked up at him from his breast.
"Rest of our lives..?" I sniffed and sat up straight, wiping my eyes.
"What do you mean...?"

I let out a long sigh and looked into his eyes.
"This is gonna sound corny, but I dont want you to ever go."

Edward looked down, and then away, his face bright pink.
"Well, I mean...you-you know...I don't ever plan on leaving you soooo....I dunno, maybe.."
He turned back and smiled, scratching the side of his face.
"I'm glad...'cause I'd hate to leave."
