I nodded to him and looked away as he got out of bed and got into pajama bottoms. It seemed so normal now to see the boys in their sleeping apparel.
"No worries Al, its like waking a little brother."

Winry covered her mouth, trying to hold in her giggles and went closer to his ear, running a finger over the cartlegde[sp?].

"Oh Edward..."

He smiled and nodded, before heading out to the bathroom.

"hahhhhahhahahahahaaaa..." His leg began to jerk before he realized anything and slowly Edward's eyes opened.
"Hah...." He looked around unsure of the strange terrian that wasn't his dream.
"What the-" He looked over his shoulder.
"WINRY!?" He cried as he fell off the couch onto the floor.
"Owie...."

I simply waited in his room as he finished in the bathroom. I looked around, it was so warm and peaceful in here, no wonder the boys would return. I just dont know why they didnt LIVE here....


Winry laughed hysterically, pointing at him.
"you thought i was Shiba, ahahahaaa!!!" She laughed, holding her side.
"Shes upstairs getting in the shower, Maybe you can go join her." she winked at him.

Al was back in a matter of moments brushing his teeth.
"Bafroom's ofen I can finifh in here." He smiled through the lather and began rummaging through his clothes that Ed had lent him trying to find something to wear for the day.
"I'm going to have to afk Ed to go shoffing with me...." He mumbled.

Edward blushed furiously.
"D-Did not!" He fumed, rolling over to sit up.
"Y-You just surprised me...that's all."

I laughed, nodding at him.
"Good idea, you need to wear clothes that fit you. Maybe he'll go with you today." I waved to him and headed into the bathroom and undressed quickly, throwing my clothes into the tub so I could hand wash them.

She nodded, sitting down in the chair, sitting cross legged.
"Yes you did, you know you want her to whisper in your ear like that, haha!" She wiped tears from her eyes.
"Go on, you smell, remember? Get your butt up there and shower with her." She seemed so serious... was she?

"Heh heh. Will you be going with us? Ed has such lousy taste."

He looked away not wanting to admit or deny anything.
"I plead the fifth on that one Winry." He muttered.
"Are you serious!?" He said scooting back a bit.
"No thanks I'd rather wait and not die, THANK YOU."

I thought for a moment and closed my eyes.
"No, I wont. I have to get back to North City. Ill talk to you more about it once I get out od the shower." In the bathroom, I started the hot water and climbed in, loving the feeling of the running hot water on my back. The mud from my clothing was washing off and into the drain.

"Ohhh c'mon now, Edward. You guys have to had some contact, im sure she wouldnt mind company in there...someone to wash her back..." she shifted her eyes to the kitchen where Pinako was cooking, unaware of the conversation.
"I wont tell granny. Go on." She whispered, totally serious.
"You need a shower anyway, you stink. ill havta clean the couch after you leave, yah dirtball." she said, trying not to smile.

Al looked back over his shoulder and pouted a little.
"Awww, I'm going to miss you Shiba. Does Ed know?"

Edward stood, with only a minor groan and scratched his stomach.
"Bleh...I'll go see if she wants help..but I make no promises!" He smirked to himself and headed up the stairs....his stomach dropping to think what would happen if Pinako found out.

I didnt respond to him...the three of us would sit and talk, he was so unaware of our plans, it hurt knowing he didnt know.
In the shower I took in Winrys basket, like she said and I poured some soap into my hands and sat on the tub floor, and began scrubbing the clothes. They were so dirty, I thought of getting new ones, but i liked this outfit so much.

Winry smiled and watched him.
"Go on, shes waiting for you." She stretched out on the chair and closed her eyes, only waiting for his footsteps to stop, a slam of the door, and a scream. It would be awesome.

Alphonse cocked his head as she left without a word..
"Guess so then."

Edward paused at the top of the stairs.
"Ohhh.." He groaned.....he couldn't do it...not after all that mess the night before...not this soon...he wanted to...oh how he wanted to...but he would restrain himself and he scooted around the door and slipped into Al's room.
"Hey Al." He said.
"You were going to peek weren't you?" His brother asked not bothering to turn.
"EH!?..." He ducked his head.
"Noooooo....not really.."
"Honestly Edward...how shallow can you be?"
Very shallow..he thought..very shallow.

I finished in the shower and came back out in a towel and hung my clothes outside the window on a line that was hung there. I came into Al's room and a towel, thinking he went downstairs. I smiled, blushing, seeing that the both of them were in there.
"Oh well, Good morning Edward.." I said, looking to the floor and tucking my hair behind my ears.
"Did you tell Alphonse?" I asked, sitting on a chair, still in my towel, wrapped up from the top of my breast to the top of my thigh. I was kind of shy being this nude before Al, but not Ed. Oh well.

Alphonse smiled.
"I kind of figured it all out when you left without telling me." He picked up his clothes and headed out.
"I'll be downstairs if you guys need me."
Edward scratched behind his head, mumbling a 'good morning' and sighed.
"He's too smart for his own good sometimes I swear..." He looked past her to the bathroom.
"Is it open?" He asked.
"I kind of smell."

I watched him leave then I looked to Ed.
"Is he mad at us..?" I grew worried, and adjusted the towel over my chest.
I nodded wearily.
"Conserve water; shower together. You should remember that." I smiled, teasing him.

Winry was Al come down the steps and she smiled.
"Good morining sunshine, how did you sleep?" she asked, cheerfully.

Edward stared after his brother.
"I hope not...I wouldn't know what to do if he was...." He quirked an eyebrow and tilted his head.
"Hnnn...." He looked over to Shiba with an odd look of curiosity on his face.
"Hah....shower together, really now?" He smiled and shook his head.
"I didn't think it worth getting killed over." He chuckled a little and stretched out.

Alphonse smiled back nodding.
"Better than I would have in that tin can I used to be." He ran over and hugged Winry tight.
"It's much better to be human again...At least now I know that you're warm!"

ARTZZZZ

"He's your brother, you should know how to handle that!" I said, lowering my brows.
I shurgged, looking to the floor.
"Why not? Youve seen me naked... and I wont look, promise." i smiled at him.
I placed my hands on my hips, tugging my towel down a bit, exposing more cleavage.
"Come on now Ed, you actually think I'd kill you if you wanted to join me in the shower? I think not, i only fantasize about it." I grinned.

Suprized from his sudden hug, and his oddly quick maturity look, she hugged him back, still sitting in the chair. Her face nuzzeled his neck, closing her eyes, blushing of course.
"Youre.. warm too, Alphonse..."

He chuckled and shook his head.
"There are very few times that Al's actually gotten mad...and that usually takes about three seconds for him to get over..." Long enough for him to hit Ed that was for sure.
He blushed and shook his head.
"Oh I've no doubt about that..." He smirked to himself and made his way to the door.
"However, there's a short crazy lady down there that would have my butt in a sling for even trying it...trust me...it's not worth Granny's wrath...." He shuddered....come to think of it...Granny and Teacher were a lot a like..
"I wonder if they worked together at some point..." He thought.

He smiled as he pulled back, blushing at the sudden rumbling of his stomach.
"Looks like my alarm's going off...I'd better go see if Granny's got anything to eat before my insides turn on themselves."

"He told me about a time you got hurt and you didnt tell him something... he thought it was about lost memories or something? [refering to anime] and he actually ran away from you while you were in the hospital, and Winry was there... he was pretty mad then..."
I shurgged and stood, catching my towel before it slid too far.
"Oh well, suit yourself. get in that shower before you stink up the place and ill be downstairs, dressed, packed and waiting to say goodbye."

She only laughed, trying to hide her pink cheeks by coughing.
"Shes making pancakes and sausage. It should be done soon, so have a seat."
there was an awkward silence then she looked to him.
"So, whats the plan next?"

He sighed, thinking back on those times.
"Again...long enough to hit me a few times...I think Winry scared him out of that one though...wasn't too much that I did."
He smiled and nodded.
"Alright, alright mom." He headed past her, placing a quick kiss on her cheek before heading out to the bathroom before she could say anything.

"Oh really?" Alphonse's smile was from ear to ear. Food was one thing that he was realizing the joy of...now that he could eat again. He nodded and sat across from her on the couch, curling his legs up under him.
"Well...I guess...Ed and I go back to Central...there'll probably be more paperwork for us to do...and...well...we'll just have to see." He smiled.
"Why? Already missing us?"

I smiled, watching him head down the hallway and into the bathroom. I could only smile and then look about; where did I put my clothes?

She awkwardly nodded.
"yeah, I know this seems weired, but a few days ago you looked like the 12 year old Al.. and now, you look...your age. Maybe thats why youre so hungry." she grinned sheepishly, folding her hands in her lap.
"Is Shiba going to Central too?" She asked, adjusting her weight on the chair and cocking her head to the side.

Edward was in and out of the shower in record time as always, and he still came out clean despite the laws of phsyics that said it was impossible. He towled off and dressed, since he'd left most of his clothes in the bathroom from the night before it wasn't that much of a hassle.

Alphonse blinked.
"Really? I look....older?" He looked down.
"Hmm...I really hadn't noticed....." He smiled and shook his head looking out the window.
"No...by the way that they were acting this morning...I figure Shiba told Ed she was going back to North City, and he's willing to let her go...there's not much he can do about it anyway...she's still got her school to finish and everything...so I guess he's decided to wait on her."

I went to the door, still in my towel and knocked quietly, after the shower had stopped.
"Edward? can I come in?"

She nodded, blushing.
"you look alot more mature and older, thats all. Havnt you noticed youre now alot taller than Edward?" She listened intently, trying not to stare at him...but she couldnt help it.
"Oh I see...so youll both be traveling again, like old times?" her eyes lowered, she always wished she could join them, but they'd never allow it.

Ed looked over after slipping his undershirt on.
"Sure." He said.
"I'm decent at least."

Alphonse thought about it a moment and shook his head.
"Not...not really..." He leaned back, his hands held in his lap.
"I guess...but this time isn't going to be nearly as dangerous as the last times.....I suppose the worst thing that might happen to us is a papercut..." He sighed.
"Looking back...I wonder sometimes what got us through...what brought us back here alive each and every time.." He smiled and looked over.
"I bet you and Granny were wishing us well the whole time we were out there wern't you?"

I cracked the door open and grinned, waving.
"Yeah, i forgot, my clothes are hung outside the window to dry." I grinned sheepishly at him and pointed at the window, not wanting to come in and invade his space and private time. Besides, he was in his undershirt and boxers. I was holding back a nosebleed.

"Well, you guys havnt been together all that much since you got here... he's always with her.." She let out a sigh and felt bad for Al, he had to feel like a third wheel sometimes... she knew all too well how that felt.
She smiled and nodded at him, leaning her chin on her palm.
"Me and granny never stopped praying for you guys. We knew it would work; it usually always did."

He stepped aside and bent over to grab his pants.
"Alright..I'll make as much room as I can kay? After I get these pants on, I can get out of your way alltogether." He chuckled and moved into a corner of the bathroom.

Alphonse shrugged.
"Eh...I knew it was bound to happen sometime or another...Ed had to grow up sometime." He smiled and blushed a little.
"Thanks." He said.
"Thanks Winry...for everything....we may never say it enough...but we appreciate everything that you two did and still do for us."

I coughed, seeing him bend over and pulled my head from the bathroom and into the hallway, trying to catch my breath and relieve my flush face. I rubbed my eyes and sniffed back the blood.
"Oh I-I'll just wait in Al's room 'til youre done..." I hurried back to that room and sat on the chair. [OHH the visions.... XD]

she nodded, closing her eyes half way.
"yeah..." she tried to push back the lump in her throat once more. She then lookd to him and only nodded, smiling.
"Anything for you two... anything. Youre family, always and forever."
