::I looked to her worriedly "alright, just take it easy. I told you i'd paint for you, so just watch" I smiled and walked up to the model.
"Do you mind being nude for the pose?"
She shook her head "Not at all. Just tell me what I have to do, I never did this before.." she blushed and pulled off he clothes, and set them aside gently.
I pulled out a spot lamp from my bag and set it up beside her, and pulled out the chair that was in the room and made her sit in it, casually, as not to strain her body.
I smile, starting to set my portable easel "Just relax, Im a pretty fast painter so, I should be done in about 2 hours. If you need a break, just let me know."
the model nodded and closed her eyes. For being just a waitress, she was pretty beautiful.::

Kiri nodded and hunkered into her corner, entranced with Shiba's hands as they rendered Light and Dark, wood and cloth, there had been those that had worked with pottery and paint...but never like this. It was amazing.

"There is no way. I'm not taking her!" Edward leaned over the log he sat on and sighed.
"Why not? She's not all that bad. She seems to like Shiba so she may not be a problem."
"Yeah, then what? Let her meet up with the Psycho Zealot and go head hunting again? No thank you!"
"At least give her a chance Brother." Edward let out a groan.
"Fine. One chance that's it. She blows that she's going straight to the Military." He turned over and set his back against the bark and waited...the girls should have been back by now...but then again, Shiba said that they'd be gone till sundown...so he'd wait a little longer.

::The sun was setting and I finally finished. I sat back in my seat and looked to her "thank you so much for modeling for me. You were wonderful. If I may, if I need another model, may I call on you again?"
She nodded, getting dressed again "yes, Id like that very much." she glanced at my painting and was dumbfounded "that...is amazing. It looks just like me!"
I smiled "Thats what I was going for. You were a beautiful model, I didn't see the need to refine you."
She bowed, I bowed back at her and she left quietly. Looked to Kiri "Do you think we should sleep here? I paid for the night... Maybe I should go back and get the boys?" I looked around, there was only 1 bed::

Kiri had fallen asleep during the session, but quickly woke as the waitress made her way out. She stretched and turned a sleepy gaze to Shiba.
"Won't they be expecting us?" She asked through a yawn.
"We really should be getting back...they'll probably head out at first light tomorow. At any rate I have to go back." She wanted to know if Edward was still going to sell her out to the Military...if so..she would have to go into hiding...another setback that would keep her from meeting up with Scar again. Kiri hated setbacks.

::I smiled warmly at her "Im sorry I woke you. I finished my painting."
"I figure I can go fetch them and bring them back here, unless you feel... safer sleeping outside or something.." I quirked an eyebrow. It was odd that she'd deny a warm cozy room to a hard dirty ground. I had paid for the room and felt it was kind of a waste to abandon it to sleep elsewhere, but I was okay with doing whatever Kiri felt was comfortable to her.
"Do.. you miss Scar? Do you know how to contact him?"::

She smiled and shook her head.
"I'd have woken up anyway." She looked out the window and out on the street, a few blue uniforms passed and she ducked against the wall.
"It's really up to you...if we stay here...I don't like to move around in the open a lot...at least not...not around Hu--people." She smiled nervously righting her sentence.
"Of course I miss him....he's been the only family I've known....even if his hands are stained with blood." She turned back to her friend.
"There isn't a way to contact him, when we seperate..we meet where we can, sometimes days, or even months later." She looked at her hands.
"We both dodge the Military as well as we can, and listen for clues..often causing a ruckus if only to let the other know where we were last to give them a clue to start looking."

::I looked to her worriedly and I shut the window and pulled the shades down. "Anything to make you comfortable. Try not to get too fidgety. Is it alright if we stay here? I havn't slept in an actual bed for a few months now.." I stood and stretched my arms up and cracked my back and I looked to her
"I'll keep you safe for the time being. Maybe we should try to find Scar somehow, but in any case, Ed should be with us, in case Scar wants to find you. If we stay separated, Scar may never find you. So, Im gonna go and get the boys..."
I walk towards the door "Stay here and dont go anywhere, dont open the door for anyone." I felt as if I was speaking to a small child and I opened the door slowly::

Kiri nodded
"That's fine." She moved off the bed and tugged Shiba's sleeve looking at the floor.
"Thank you...Shiba." She smiled slightly, and then moved away.
"For everything." She hunkered down by the end of the bed and nodded.
"I'll be right here til you and the others get back." Kiri watched as Shiba left and blinked in the dusky dark room, a single lamp burned on the far side, casting long shadows over her face. She looked around as she gripped her knees, taking up very little space, and sighed. Times seemed to be repeating themselves. There was a faint memory that mirrored this one...she was to wait in a hotel room...there was a book...and a man....she glanced at her palm, frowning.
"Golem....that's what it said."

::Shutting the door silently behind me, I rushed towards the campsite. I jumped over a cat, dodged a few old ladies and an old man carrying fish though the market. Swiftly turning the corner, I tripped over a trashcan lid and fell in a puddle. My face bled, a huge gash on the side of my cheek, but I stood up and continued on. I wanted to get there and back as soon as possible; I didn't want to leave her alone for long.
I arrived at the site about 10 minutes later and practically fainted, falling to the ground, I panted heavily and my eyes were weary. I looked around for the boys::

"Geeze what's wrong with you Shiba?" Edward asked rising.
"Did your little tag-along kill someone?"
"Brother." Alphonse rose with him and moved beside her.
"What happened to your face? It's bleeding!" He lay a hand on her shoulder to keep her there and went back to their luggage, taking out a small first aid kit that had been packed in their case.
"Here Ed, I don't want to hurt her." With a sigh, Ed took the case and began to treat her cheek. He didn't realize, but his face had begun to flush, being this close to her..it was..well he really couldn't put his finger on it.

::I sighed looking up at him, and blushed as well, when Ed came close to my face. I looked into his eyes, then looked away quickly.
"I'm okay...really..Uhm.. i finished my painting and I rented a room at an inn for the night and thought not to waste it, so I came to get you guys.." I spoke softly, and I did all I could to not look at Edward who was about 5 inches from my face. My heart raced as his gloved-hand touched my cheek with the up most care. The cut on my face bled profusely and throbbed. I got comfortable on my knees, until he finished cleaning my wound. "Do you guys wanna room with us? Kiri is hoping Scar will come to find you guys so she can go back with him... she has nothing to do with Scar's revenge on you two.." I still spoke softly "I thought it kind of rude for us two to stay in a room and you guys to camp out here.. besides, theres a hot spring there! Or so I think.."::

Edward lightly scrubbed away the dirt and grime that had smeared across her face and dabbed alcohol against the wound.
"You're not, stop fussing and let me finish." He let out a groan as Alphonse nudged his shoulder.
"Shut it Al, I'm still only giving her one chance." Edward turned to Shiba and frowned.
"What did you do, rent out a room for the fun of it?" With a sigh he pressed a bandage to her cheek.
"That should do for now...as long as it doesn't get infected." He caught her gaze for a moment and then blinked, looking away, glad that the afternoon sun hid his pink cheeks.
"Don't worry." Alphonse murmured as Edward stalked away to grab their luggage, muttering about other people deciding things before talking about them.
"He's thrilled about the room..and a bed, but Ed's just got a lot on his mind...and he hasn't had a good night's sleep for a while. He gets like this." He held out his hand to help Shiba to her feet.
"Ready?"

::I nod as he gets stern with me about my cut and I look away "alright.."
After putting the bandage on I touched my cheek softly and looked to him, catching his gaze i coughed and watched as he walked off "Thanks Edward.. it feels alot better.."
I took Als hand and stood "Well, i needed to paint my model and I wasn't going to have her stand outside naked... i have some modesty for a nude model after all... I know what its like to be nude infront of someone, its pretty awkward, so I figured in a private room, she'd feel more at ease."
I looked away "we should get back though... before it gets dark, I don't wanna leave Kiri alone for too long, shes kinda...skitsy[sp?]."::
[so any sign of your comp coming home from the hospital yet?]

((Actually I was going to mention that this post anyway XDD Yes, it's coming home from PC Medic today, I'll even get to update my own computer's virus scanner too XDD I should be on tonight...*Crosses fingers*))

"Oh? Does that mean that you finished your painting?" He smiled by his tone and fell instep beside her.
"Do you think I could see it? I've never known someone that painted before." Edward turned waiting for the other two and rolled his eyes.
"Why are you so worried? She was the one that tried to kill you when you tried to help me REMEMBER?" He jutted out a hip and curled a hand around it. He didn't understand what had changed in less than twenty-four hours to make both his brother and Shiba care so much for the strange blonde-headed assassin.

::I yawned and looked to him as I started to walk towards the inn, walking a bit hastily "yeah, its finished. I'm a fast painter.. and I dont mind if you see it, as long as you dont mind seeing a nude woman." I looked away, and scratched the back of my head.
I thought about what he said and kicked a rock as we walked "She's a bit..confused at what she wants to do.. she only follows Scar as a sibling..she has noone else.. he probably coaxed her to attack us before.. shes grown pretty attached to me, so as long as Im friends with you and Al, she shouldn;t bother you two.." I glanced over at his gesture and poked his cheek playfully "Why, is someone scared of her?"::

Alphonse almost stopped in his tracks.
"On second thought..." He shook his head and moved on, he was still a kid after all.
"Since when has lack of family been an excuse for anything?" Edward scoffed and allowed Shiba to get ahead of him, she would have to lead them back to the hotel anyway.
"Last time I checked, she was fully aware of her actions, I don't think anyone had to coax her into anything." He brushed off her hand and looked away.
"I'm not scared of her..it bothers me that she tried to kill me then wants my help finding the other psycho that wanted me dead."

::I look back at him and sigh "Edward, I thought you were 18? Never seen a nude woman before eh?" It was so adorable how he got so flustered talking of such things. I just wanted to pinch his pink cheeks, but I decided not to get him more..agitated.
I look down at the ground ahead of me "I have a feeling Scar is very...manipulative. She doesn't knoww hat else to do, or anything... shes so much like a child it scares me. Ed, she didnt even know what paint was.." I frowned.
I look back at him, "I think we should try to convince her that Scar is bad and we're the good guys, whaddya say?" I turn my whole body around, my coat flying out like a dress, and fold my hands behind my back and look at him cutely, bending down at his height a bit. "You guys gave me a chance...I still dont understand why... and I gave you a chance Ed.. don't you think she deserves a normal life?? We could teach her that..."::

"What's paint got to do with anything?" He muttered again rolling his eyes.
"Good luck with that plan Shiba...I don't think anything like that is going to help." Alphonse shrugged as he walked.
"She may seem like a child..but Ed's right...at least a little..a wild animal is still wild no matter how tame it seems."
"We gave you a chance because you wern't trying to kill us..well..me, What on earth are we supposed to teach her?" He flung his arms out confused and exhasperated.
"You sound like Al when he's found a stray! She's made her choices and they've landed her where she is, end of story!"

::I frown and turn back around, and walk on angrily. I decided not to speak anymore to him. He made me so mad I just wanted to punch him. He was just like everyone else, never wanted to listen to what i had to say. His rolling eyes kept running though my head and I just wanted to poke them out and keep them for myself.
Arriving at the Inn, i walked inside and then unlocked and opened the door slowly going inside the dark room. The sun was now gone and it was dark except for the spotlight. I signaled for the boys to wait outside the room for a second "Kiri? You in here? Are you alright?"::

Kiri was still waiting in her corner when the latch turned, she rolled to her knees and crouched, waiting, if it was Shiba..she had nothing to worry about..but the last time the door opened in a place like this...her world was sent into a spiral.
"Shiba.." She breathed rising.
"Yes, I'm here." She made her way to her friend, smiling. It faded however as Edward stepped through.
"I see you found them."
"I see you found them. Geeze what a welcome..I thought you'd be happy to see me."
"I'll be happy when you lead me back to Aniki." He glanced over to Shiba and his eyebrows lifted as if to say 'told you so' and he set his case by the door.
"Anyway...we're not going to turn you into the Military after all.....at least not yet...you haven't tried to kill us while we slept and...well...you get one shot! That's it! One shot, you blow it you're gone!" Kiri sneered, her pupils turning to slits and almost disappearing into her eyes for a brief moment in time.
"Fine...I won't betray this one chance I have."

::i smiled, seeing her face and I flick on a nearby light.
I whip my stare to Edward and growl at him "Knock it off Ed, she was worried I wouldn't be able to find you guys. Keep up your attitude I wont buy you supper..." I fold my arms. I had alot of money left from today and thought I'd treat him to dinner.
My gaze met his as he lifted his eyebrows and I sent him a piercing stare, then i looked back to her softly "Kiri, what do you think about staying with me from now on? Instead of following Scar around all the time and getting mixed in his squabbles.. i can also teach you to paint. I know you dont like Ed, but I probably wont be hanging around him for much longer.." my voice trailed off. Eventually, the boys would wander off to the next city, so I tried not to get too attached to him and Al.
I looked to her "Try not to speak to Ed at all... just..hmm.." I placed a hand on my chin and looked to the both of them "Cant we all just get along? I hate this fierce fire in the air.."::

With a huff and a childish glare at the wall, Edward crossed his arms and turned from both Shiba and Kiri.
"S'not like you would have anyway." He muttered softly.
Kiri merely turned to Shiba and shook her head.
"As much as I would love to stay with you Ane....I can't...Aniki...may not be the most friendly person....but...he needs me...the protection I can offer." She turned to the Elrics and sighed, her face neither sad, nor happy. Eyes distant and dark.
"I don't dislike either of you...but...I don't have any reason to like you either....I will be gone as soon as possible." She bowed respectfully.
"So...bear with me until then?"

::I looked over at him "I did plan on it, Edward. Its the least I could do for you, since there's nothing else you seem to like."
With a sigh I put my arms up behind my head and grin, trying to lighten the mood "So, Kiri, wanna go in the hot spring with me?" I tap my foot and look at the ceiling, my stomach broke the awkward silence as it growled and I blushed, pointing to it "knock that off, you, you'll get your chance.."
I walk over to my painting and put it against the wall, facing the wall, as not to burn Eds eyes and i sigh, putting my paints away::

Kiri glanced around almost nervously..her eyes wide and cat-like.
"Um...I...I guess." She gripped her hands and nodded.
"Yes..I suppose I will join you." She didn't like the idea all that much...but she didn't want to be left alone with Edward either.
"Whatever...do what you want...I'm not going to bother with you two anymore." He flopped into a chair and opened a book that sat on the nightstand.
"Be careful you two." Alphonse said lightly, a sigh breaking his tone, really...Edward could be so childish at times.
((She might be playing Halo XDD Oh well if that's the case I can stay up til one and Rp here all night *Glomps* XDDD I HAVE INTERNET BACK!!! YYAAAAYYYY!!!))

::I smiled at her and took her hand "well c'mon then!" i flash my eyes to Ed "There is a male side as well...so the sexes dont intermingle. Id suggest you get a shower at least, if youre gonna be sleeping in this room... i'm throwing my clothes in the washer if you want me to put yours in with mine."
I grabbed 2 towels from the closet and laughed, looking back to Kiri "lets go Kiri! You'll love this!!"
I led her out of the room, racing down the hallway and to the left to the spring. In the locker room, there were showers- A sign read to shower first so i happily pulled off my clothes and went into the stall, turning on the hot water "Hmmm, feels so good...running warm water..."::
[YES!!! and yea she prolly is playing Halo like the rest of the damn world >.>]
