I went into the dark hotel room and stepped out of my heels, finally glad to have my feet flat on the floor again and I looked to him, flicking on a small lamp.
"Are you tired?" I asked nervously.

Winry just laughed at Als comment and she finsihed her burger and looked at the clock.
"Oh no, its getting so late. Its 11:02 already. Kiri, would you like to take a hot bath when youre done eating?"

Edward paused in the door to actually hang his over shirt up, he'd had to find something else to wear since Kiri'd taken his coat, and the brown leather just wasn't cutting it...he wanted his old coat back.
"Eh, so-so..how about you?"

Kiri looked up from her sloppy burger and slurped the last bit of her bite into her mouth.
"I gueff fo." She said shoving all of it into a cheek in order not to spray everyone.

I couldnt help but look at him... his bare, flesh arms were almost never seen; it was a shame too because his body was so beautiful, from what I could remember from that day in the hotel room (still need to finish that pic >.>)
"Not really tired either..." I said, sitting down in the chair, with my dress still on, i put my purse on the floor.

Winry only smiled at the child as she seemed to enjoy the burger more now.
"Well, when youre finished, ill be int he bathroom preparing your bath, come up when youre ready." She put her dish in the sink, her cup too, and headed up the steps, yawning along the way.

He smiled.
"I'm glad, I'd hate to think just wearing that thing wore you out....'specaily when you wore it for me...." He blushed a little, and stretched out.


"Kay Winry!" Kiri smiled.
Alphonse however waited till she was out of hearing range and then turned back to Kiri.
"So...you're back...what now?" She sighed and lay aside her food.
"I..I still can't....taste anything....not like you can.." She looked down at her hands, how small and fragile they looked.
"I can't go back to find Aniki....that would only complicate matters...but I can't stay in Central, not with that Mustang Man....I need to....." She looked at him with watery eyes.
"I need to dissapear Tin Man....how do I do that?" Alphonse sighed and patted her head.
"I'm not sure....but don't you think there are people here that might not want you to go away again?" He stood and took her plate.
"Go on, I'm sure Winry's waiting on you."

I smiled shyly and looked to him.
"Well, my feet kinda hurt, but nothing can be done about that." I shrugged. Then an awkward silence four about a minute then i stood.
"Well, im gonna get outta this thing and into my pajamas, unless you wanna undress me." I teased, smiling at him.

Winry had put on a long night shirt and had one sitting on the side of the tub for Kiri when she was done. She also had found a small pair of panties, from when she was a child, in the back of her underwear drawer, clean. She had also fetched a towel and started the bath. She sat on the closed toilet, wiating and wondering where this child had come from, and if anyone was looking for her...

Edward blushed a moment and then remembering what he'd said smiled.
"Want me to unzip you?" He asked.
"Yes, I meant it when I said it."

Kiri knocked before opening the door.
"Winry?" She asked poking her head inside.
She opened the door all the way, and stood there, toes pointed inward, looking like a raggamuffin tossed off the streets.
"I'm sorry if I'm being a burden to you." She apologized.

I blushed and walked over to him, nodding.
"Sure...thank you.." I looked down at him with so much love and passion in my eyes I could afind no more words,and I turned around for him.

Winry's train of thought was broken as she looked up at the child. She smiled and turned off the water.
"Youre no burden. I just hope noone is looking for you, I dont want anyone to be worried about a sweety like you. besides, you remind me of a little sister I never had, you know?" She smiled at her.
"Come in and shut the door, it'll be just us girls in here" she laughed.

Edward stopped behind her, and undid the button at the top to keep the zipper from falling, then with only a slight pause, ran it all the way down. Stepping back when he was done.
"There." He said softly.

Kiri looked off to a side, blushing a little....did Military count? They were looking for her...but she wouldn't let them find her...not if it was the last thing she did.
"Thank you..." She said softly.
"You're so nice Winry.." She came in and closed the door as told and took off the too-large-for-her-head cap that the old man had given her.

I lowered my head and closed my eyes, knowing...that would probably be it for him... ever. I sighed and made my way into the bathroom, scooping up my backpack on the way in and closed the door behind me slowly. I flicked on the light and looked at myself in the mirror. Did I even deserve him? I took some toilet paper and wiped off the make-up the best I could. The mascara, blush and eyeshadow came off easily, the lipstick kind if left my lips darker than usual. I pulld off the dress and slipped into my tank and boxers and brushed my teeth. Oh Edward... what.. do you want..? What... can I do to make you love me...make you..make love to me..?

Winrys eyes glassed over.
"Im glad someone likes me..." she said, thinking of ed that time. She marveled at the child's hair as it fell from under the cap.
"Oh your hair is so long and beautiful! Come on and get in so I wan wash it really good for you."a

Edward sighed as she left, watching her back. He took what time he had to halfway undress losing his shoes, and both shirts, and kick back sitting on his bed looking outside.
".....so many stars..." He breathed.

Kiri turned.
"Why wouldn't someone like you?" She asked.
"You're human, someone has to like you." She blushed and looked at it, pulling a strand into a hand and blinking.
"Really? you think so?" She finished undressing and hopped in.

After about 10 minutes, I came out, and saw him sitting on his bed, figuring he was just all bark and no bite. He didnt even seem interested in sleeping in bed with me tonight. I hung up the dress and went to my bed and sat down on it, my back to him, I sat with my legs crossed, looking out the window into the dark, twinkling sky above, saying nothing, and trying to push from my mind he had no shirt on and looked totally hot under the moonlight.

Winry just sighed.
"Because the one I love.. loves someone else. And I... was too late to tell him how Ive been feeling after all these years..." she sighed.
"But enough about me, lets get you washed up." She lathered up a washcloth and handed it to her.

Ed glanced over.
"Pretty isn't it?" He asked, rising to move beside her, he lay his head on her shoulder and stared up.
"It's pretty clear for a city."

Kiri looked over.
"Huh......then why worry? Not being with that person is clear that you're meant for someone better." She looked down at the tub water and nodded.
"At least..that's what I think." She took the cloth and scrubbed over her face and then her arms, scrubbing away every last spec of dirt she could find.

I looked over at him as he sat down and laid his head on my shoulder.
"It is..." I said softly, trying to get my heart to slow down, at least a little. Even my pink cheeks werent cooperating.

Winry was shocked that something that wise, came from a 12 year old child. She then thought of Alphonse and smiled, nodding at her.
"Youre absolutely right, Kiri." She poured out some shampoo and went to the tubs side on her knees and scrubbed her hair, and her scalp.
"Anyone you like, Kiri?" she asked.

Edward sighed and wrapped his arms around her.
"Mmmm..." He closed his eyes and breathed in deep.
"You smell nice."

Kiri smiled.
"I know I'm right, even when I'm wrong I'm right." She giggled and then covered her eyes, letting Winry wash her hair.
"..............like..like how?" She asked. She still wasn't quite sure of who was who at the moment, but there was someone...either Shane, or Aniki that she'd been fond of....someone that she would never be able to see again because it would hurt them and those around her too much...for his and thier sake's she had to stay dead.

I stayed, frozen in his arms, in his grasp as he took me in.
"Uhm thanks? I bought this perfume see, its called Charlie White (I have it, smells good like vanilla kind of)" My heart throbbed even harder, as i kept my hands to my sides; didnt need to do something to get him skeezed out and stop.

Winry laughed and picked up a pitcher and filled it with water, rinsing out her hair.
"Is there someone you love, who you want always at your side and close to your heart?" she asked calmly, scooping up more water to rinse her off again.

He chuckled and with a smile fell back with Shiba in his arms.
"Mmmm....well whoever he is, he makes a mean perfume."

Kiri fell quiet.
"There is..but..." She looked away at the wall.
"I can't ever see them again...it would....cause problems."

I fell back with him and stayed frozen, staring at the ceiling. I smiled to myself and looked over at him.
"He does. This.. was my mothers favorite fragrance. When she died, I took it... I didnt think she'd mind. It reminds me of her, and whenever I feel I need strength or patience, I wear it."

Winrys face grew soft, her eyes closed half way.
"Oh I see. Thats... how I feel sometimes too, about the one I... love." She thought of Edward and sighed, then to Alphonse, who seemed to be showing no interest in a romance.

Edward smiled and hugged Shiba tight.
"I bet you're Mother was a wonderful person, just like you."

Kiri looked back.
"Then make the first move." She said simply.
"Take your life into your own hands.....that's...that's what I've done. By distancing myself, I've taken action. That makes living with everything so much easier, because I know that it was my choice to live that way, so I'm not a victim of circumstance...or of the situation I found myself in....I hope that made sense..." She blushed and little and fiddled with the bubbles around her.

I smiled, keeping my arms at my sides as he leaned over at hugged me. I closed my eyes, her smile flashing in my memory.
"She was, from what I can remember."

After rinsing off the shampoo, she sat back on the toilet and looked to the child.
"I kind of did make a move. He.. rejected me (shes talking about Ed) becaus ehe is in love with someone else. I cant make him un-love her." She shook her head.
"Lets change the subject, where do you live?"

Edward cocked an eyebrow.
"Are you alright?" He asked poking her arm.

Kiri's face went pale...as if it could get any paler, and she turned to look up.
"Oh ah....n-nowhere in particular....I'm.....I'm travelling....you know?" She turned and smiled at Winry.
"Like I said....I took action."

My heart throbbed at his question and I nodded.
"Uh huh, lets just go to sleep." I got settled on the bed, laying on my back, my arm out so he could lay his head on my arm, or nestle into my breast, whatever he chose.

Winry cocked an eyebrow at her and folded her arms.
"You ran away from home didnt you? Thats not good, your guardians will be awfully worried sick about you... thats not a nice thing to do you know." she crossed her legs.
"Action or not, youre still only a kid."

He smiled and nodded.
"Alright...." He settled in, his head below hers, cheek pressed against her collar bone, wrapping her tightly in his arms.
"'Night Shiba."

Kiri scoffed.
"If those are my guardians...then I'm better off on my own." She clenched her fists and glowered.
"And even if I am just a kid, I can take care of myself."

I smiled, wrapping my arm around his back and resting it on his shoulder.
"Goodnight Edward." Not soon after I fell into a light sleep.

Winry grabbed the towel and lay it across her lap, shaking her head.
"You all say that. I remember saying that at your age too, and guess what? I ended up going back home because i needed them, and I know they were worrying and they loved me." She sighed.
"They cant be that bad. Did they hurt you? Did they hit you, or touch you in a bad place?" Winry was trying her best to make this child feel safe and calm, and get the anger out without hurting her feelings or making her uncomfortable in the same time.
"C'mon, we should get you out and ready for bed, its almost 1 am."

Edward smiled against the smooth skin of Shiba's neck, listening to her soft breathing until he too.....drifted off.

Kiri sighed, standing.
"I.....I know..I know that...at least some of them worry about me....but still others I can't forgive!" She blinked and shook her head.
"No...it was nothing like that.....not......really....it's kind of like hurt......but not....like when you're sad that someone's leaving....but...you know that you can't go with them....like....pain..here...but not." She placed a small hand over her heart and sighed.
"Ah, I guess you're right....bedtime then!" She hopped out, drying off and scrubbing out the water in her hair till it was almost dry.
