It originally had the "--->", however I deleted it out. Since you're new, and that was the only post you had doing that, I didn't figure you needed an official warning, just a nudge.

I wouldn't be surprised if you have one of those things that autmatically do that for you. It's happened with others a few times.

I don't see how the forum layout looks anything like Gaia's. Gaia uses speech bubbles and stuff for theirs, and a white background. This place just uses boxes and the background is blue. You do have to remember that most of these sites use the same type of forum though, so there are a lot of similarities, like many of the same emoticons and stuff that come with this board. But they still look very different. And I don't think Menewsha's cat really looks like Coco, just because it's a black cat. The cat has always been Menewsha's mascot, as far as I know, they just don't mention it all that much. But I think it's cute. Lots of people like cats so it's not surprising for sites to have cat mascots or items. I don't really think it's copying each other.

Oh, I see. Yeah, it is similar, but again, same type of forum for both sites so they're set up the same. And the art for each forum's icon thing is much different.

Yumeh's a bit of a self serving creature, like any cat. He'll sit on your lap if it's warmer/more comfortable than the floor, but don't expect any altruism from him :lol:

I'd say the cat shirt reminds me of the one on Zantarni, but aren't some of the creators here affiliated in the past with Zantarni? I assumed so because the base looked similar and I saw the cat balloon and it looks the same as their cat shirt.

Yup! Josh was one of the uhh.....mod thingy guys on Zantari....I forgot what he was exactly, but yup.

Hmm, having joined Zantarni, Menewsha, and Gaia, all three in the same month, Zanny coming first, I haven't found any of the three to be very similar. They all three have their differences and the atmosphere is different as well.

Zantarni and Menewsha both have that small, close knit community feel about them, but Mene is more modern and Zanny has that old time, Medieval feel about it, which is, I believe, how they were both designed. Gaia has a more impersonal, giant community feel about it, and when I joined Gaia, I felt lost like a needle in a haystack.

If it weren't for the Newbie Support and Training Guild there, I would have ended up quitting Gaia before I even really got started, because I didn't know my way around the site and I didn't know anyone there who could guide me.

I didn't know about the Chatterbox then either, and I'm glad I didn't because if I had to deal with all the rude, immature people in the Chatterbox, I would have developed a completely negative opinion of Gaia and found that site to be a total waste of my time.

Fortunately, I found a few really cool guilds and have made some lasting friendships there. I'm somewhat partial to Zanny, however, as it was my first avi site, hehe.

Coco is a chunky plushie-like thing and Yumi is an elegant looking cat, in my opinion.

Sanctuary has got it in one.

@Caghyre: I agree, I see no difference with here and Gaia, though, the avatars look similar; clothing style, not face and hair and bodies.

Because it's like opening a can of worms.

Someone says one thing, which leads to another and then we have a full out flame war on which site is better, which site is right, which site is copying who, etc etc.

It's usually best to avoid the whole situation completely. I hold this belief: you like gaia, then stay on gaia and talk about gaia on gaia. Vice versa if you like menewsha.

Its not being like gaia, its just being a forum site. Not everything is about gaia xD Its just a forum site too. You could say that gaia is copying menewsha, doesnt make sence, yet it does in my logic.
