Just because you like old style, peaceful hobbies, doesn't mean you are getting old. I like intrumental, class music, I like buying clothes those were made for people in their 20s, 30s (What can I say? I like elegant, simple looks. <.<). Guess what? I'm only 16. Your hobbies doesn't determine how old, are what you are. Hey, guys can like sewing without being gay, right? It's just personal taste, and it'll change from time to time, it's not always predictable.

Naw... I act like an old lady too sometimes and I'm still in high school... ^^''
My favorite thing do to is read a good book with a kitty curled up on my lap, I have a tendency to try and solve everyone's personal problems regardless of whether or not they have anything to do with me, and I often walk into a room and promptly forget why I've gone there. 8D I also like to listen to NPR and watch "Mystery!" on PBS. (Foyle's War was my favorite.)
Maybe I'm more like a middle aged lady than an old lady, but still. XD

I've always thought "Sweets" just referred to anything that was... well.. sweet in taste ^.^; I even count soda pop as a sweet.

I'm old. At 27 I already consider myself old more days than not, and I know I'm not old by anyone's standards. But each ache and pain, and getting irritated at my friends that just want to go out clubbing and whatnot makes me feel old. Not to mention paying all these bills and being all grown-up now that I don't lilve with my dad anymore.

I know all about the aches and pains ^.^; That's why I've finally begun seeing a chiropractor again... It's helped. Maybe you should look into it?
I've never been clubbing... but I have no interest in it at all ^.^; I do have friends who go to concerts constantly... it makes me feel old because I don't see the point in going someplace smoky and loud and crowded with a bunch of annoying and loud, usually drunk people... When I could listen to the same music at home ^.^; So I guess in a way I can relate.
Paying bills is a pain... Especially the credit card ones >.< It's been well over a decade since I moved away from home though... But even then I was the one paying the bills so I guess not much has changed ^.^;

Oh man, YES. I went to a club once in college. I was 18/19 and it was goth night at a local gay club that had better music than the other clubs, which is why we all went. (Plus the whole "gay boys not interested in molesting you" thing was much better than the breed of man found in most other clubs.)
Didn't like it. Didn't like dancing in front of others, HATED the smoke, thought the music was too loud, and just wanted to go home and watch movies. I was developing Little Old Lady syndrome in my late teens!

I hate when the neighbor kids come into my yard. I have a pond in my yard and don’t want them drowning in it or something so I always tell them to get the heck off my property, that way if something happens to them I’m not liable for it. Plus they’ve thrown my decorations in my pond before so that’s another reason why I don’t want the brats on my property. People seriously need to learn to watch their kids. It ticks me off to no end to see a bunch of kids that are under 10 running around unsupervised.
I also have four cats. My husband jokes around all the time saying that I’m going to be one of those old cat ladies with a million cats living alone in a huge house that’s taken over by cats. I also like to bake, but sadly don’t have that much time to bake much of anything any more. I like gardening too, but I don’t do outside gardening, I do aquatic gardening in fish tanks. It’s pretty much the same thing as spending time in the garden, but underwater and you don’t get dirty.
It drives me nuts when someone has their music up really loud. I listen to rock music, but I always have it at a level where I can hear it, but it’s not bugging anyone else. I don’t see why people need to have their music blasting at full sound anyway. To me, it’s just an annoyance.

Oh man, you would hate my neighborhood ^.^; Kids run around in gaggles, unsupervised... There's 2 brothers that live down the street that are 5 and 3 I believe... And they run around all day unsupervised, and sometimes in the middle of the night. I woke up at 1AM one morning because I heard a racket outside, ad there goes a bunch of preschool and younger kids, running up and down the street, unsupervised, making a ton of noise. There used to be a group of about 5 or 6 girls who used to circle the block somewhere between 9PM and 3AM every day/night completely unsupervised... They ranged from 1st grade to about 4th grade in age, and they would scream and screech as loud as they could, and laugh about it... I hated them... Fortunately they haven't been doing it recently. A lot of the parents will just leave the house and their kids just run a much in the neighborhood... Sometimes they are locked out when their parents leave so they have no choice but to wander about and cause trouble for everyone else >.< I swear I want to call social services on almost every one of the parents in my neighborhood.

lol. thats awesome. and i guess that makes me old too...i love watching my neighbors because... the drama that unfolds cracks me up. Ive just started planting my flowers and will start on my veggies when the season is right. lol. I enjoy baking cakes and cookies alot and now tha tmy twins have turned 1 i wear more 'mommyish' clothing because i dont like my belly. :P i still have 'mommy marks' from when they were inside of me so alot of my 'teeen' clothes look really stupid on me now. poo.
i dont think youre getting old though, i think its more of maturing. and the oldies stations are awesome >.>
[edit] dang, your neighborhood sounds horrible! i would call social services on everyone of those parents! no one should let their kids under age 10 run around completley unsupervised, specially not in the dead of night!!

I know all about the mommy marks ^.^; My tummy has a nice big stretch scar down the center of it from top to bottom like someone sliced me open like a baked potato >.< My thighs and chest have them too... Man I hate stretch marks...
I know! I want to but there that feeling like it's mean or something... People used to call social services on my mother constantly and my mother would go on and on about how when people do that the people might take my siblings and me away, and we'd never see each other again and go to horrible foster families that hate us and so on and so on... So I guess I have that thorn in my side, keeping me from making the call x.x; The two little kids (5 and 3) were running around bothering the guy painting our house the other day. He eventually got fed up and told them to go home. They said they couldn't because no one was home and they couldn't get in the house. I almost told them to come into my house to wait for their parents to get home but that almost invites drama when the parents get back... With the way some people are, I wouldn't be surprized if they accused me of abducting their kids e.e;
The oldies station is aw(e)some ^.^ But few people agree with me on that ^.^;

well poo to the people that dont agree with you.
i had to call social services on an ex neighbor of mine. she would always leave her daughter home alone and go out drinking. she was horrible, not to mention while she was doing this she was pregnant. so we called and they did take her daughter away but she fought for her nad got her back. and her behavior didnt change. all tey made her do was go to parenting classes. it really pissed me off. that child deserved someone so much better than her to be taking care of her!
im glad im not alone in the mommy mark category >.> all of these teeny bopper clothes i just cant wear anymore. not that i really want to. i think some clothes today are more stitches than fabric XD

I don't really feel old until I deal with the 'kids' at work and start bitching about the 'damn kids' and realize these 'damn kids' are college students!! :lol:
I still party and such - but most of my partying is done at home with friends or at a friend's house- been living on my own for about 5 years now but I paid my own bills when I was living with my parents too - so the bills don't make me feel so old - but every now than then I pout about having to be a responsible adult.
I love baking - I'm that neighbor at Christmas who brings over a try of cookies - last year I baked 7 dozen cookies - about 4 different varieties - it was so much fun. I got a kitchen aid stand mixer last year and was so excited to be able to use it. :)
