The only way I know about hook and eye clasps is from sewing. Otherwise I'd be clueless too.

Thanks for the well-wishes. I've been doing pretty well on my quest so far, until I bought the scepter, pants, and chain belt. That was a lot of gold! I've earned almost 300 today, chatting around, though, so that's all good.

• @malkut: I really wanted to get into psychiatry or therapy...in the military. I'm an army brat so I have some experiences and knew people with post traumatic stress disorder, depression, and plagued with societal issues like racism. But I am so turned off by the medical field. D: It makes me ill to go to listen to doctors and have them say every single time, "medicine is a business." I dunno. I could just be making up excuses, because I'm scared to grow up? D:

• I turned a profit of about 2k on fishing yesterday, but then they dropped the gold value of the fish, upped how many nails you get, and put a limit on how many times you can play. *whines* I like playing that at night because no on else it on. Helps me pass the time while waiting for someone else to post.

@malkut- Wow. That's cool that you sew. 300 gold is a pretty good haul, too. hehe

  Man, I can't wait for Descender's return. >_>; Fishing is only something to do...not something I can actually profit from.

• I only use one piece of bait each time. You'll turn a profit, after a while. But when I started playing they gave out 10 xp, rather than 1. So I got to 5k xp really fast. Once you get to about 200 xp, you catch some good stuff.
  
  I tried using more bait, to get better fish but pshhh.. It hasn't a made a difference when I play.

The most gold that I've ever made in one day was about 1.7k. That was just from posting like crazy... Lately, I've only earned about 100 gold.

I haven't a clue how much I make a day. I don't really notice anymore.

• @Secret: If you use, let's say...ten bait at once, do you gain one experience or ten? *blinks* I'm still trying to understand why you would use more than one bait each time...besides getting more luck toward "catching fish." (It's a myth to me until I see it for myself 8D)

@Jayms_fallen_angel- That's probably a good thing. Follows the whole "a watched pot never boils" idea. hehe

I was wondering if bait made any difference in the fishing game.


@Torikat: I can see where you're coming from. I didn't want to get into psychiatry both because of not wanting to do med school and the increased possibility of malpractice suits. I do also understand the desire to not grow up...I've got a bit of that myself.

@nescia: I've been sewing for a few years, and do a few other crafts such as tatting, crochet, embroidery, etc.

I've been watching what I earn because I'm questing and just spent a bunch...otherwise I probably wouldn't.

hehe t'is true. Well I'm not actually uesting anything at the moment. All I want are a queens crown and a v-day pendant, but although I can afford them I don't have the patience to sit and watch a bid. So nyeh, I have no need for gold pshhh

That is a pretty cool thing to be able to say. I don't think it makes you sound like a snob at all. Now you can spend your money on art or pets or charity or some other nifty stuff. :D

I don't buy art, I get it for free. I'd only buy it off of people like secy whom I like and who aren't going to make me want to crack their skulls open...I have no interest in pets...nyeah I'm just gonna keep splashing out on random people who are questing.
