@Desiert: You write a short passage (like 500 words or less I think) drawing inspiration from a certain source. For instance, I could write a bunch of small passages about characters based off of songs. Or based off of visual art, or movies, or poems, whatever. It's kind of a bit of practice for writers. Here's a thing, write about it. If you can come up with something worth making into a novel from a source as random as the third track on the second disc of the soundtrack to this or that film, so the theory goes, you're a pretty good writer. Also, it's something to do, and on Mene it's a way to get rich.

@Dessiert: Allucard explained it fairly well... Strictly speaking, it's SUPPOSED to be like a 100-word thing that is inspired by one word or idea. Mine are less drabbley, more... Drabbley, just not a strict drabble.

Also, my drabble thread is usually based off of either a song or an avatar and around my stories. So they don't make much sense to people that aren't me, but you can kind of follow them? (Because my stories have some sex and violence, so I'm awkward about posting them here.) I'll link it in a moment or two. (Which, okay, could be ten with my attention span.)

Yup. Someone found a kitten and one of the people here who lives off-campus came to steal him away. He was SO CUTE! *dies*

So someone came to take their kitten back.

@ yozoo: The teacher likes to talk, so he gets completely off topic. More importantly, he ends up glossing over the chapter and then hands us tests. I think the idea might have been for us to read it on our own. But that doesn't really matter anymore because the balance of our grade was today morphed into group work. We're supposed to get into groups and put together a presentation on a particular aspect of education, then, of course, present it to the class. He just kind of decided he didn't want to go through the last few chapters and hands us this and I'm pretty sure it's goingto be a total failure. I'm not learning anything I didn't learn in high school.

Okay, taxes. I learned about the effects of taxes.

Er, no... She came to get the kitten. Someone found him in a hall; he didn't belong to anyone. She lives off-campus, so she can actually have a kitten, so she decided to take him with her.

Oh thats the case at first I didn't understand.
