It was six o'clock, on a Saturday night, dinner time on the train for most. The wind was whipping on Judeth's thinning hair, her head out the window of the Nation Royale. She looked down, and then she was falling into the gorge below. It was more than a 400 foot drop. Soon Judeth was floating down the river face down...

A day Earlier:
It's seven in the morning. You pack your suitcase full of merchandise, clothes and other essentials. Years of your dead-end job as a door-to-door salesman had left you with only one useful skill: the ability to somehow always make things fit in that damn suitcase. You hail a cab and make smalltalk as you go to the train station. You hand the driver ten bucks and step out to the front of the station. The sign read: Nation Royale. You buy a newspaper from one of the machines out front. The headline said that some old roads that were being fixed were finally finished. "Wow, this place is really dead. Does anything ever happen here?" you think to your self as you turn the page to the comics. You hear a crack of thunder and it starts to pour. you run inside the station with the newspaper over your head. You go up to the person at the desk and buy a ticket. shoving it in your coat pocket, you take a seat in one of the chairs. A few other people are sitting around trying to make the wait more bearable by watching the rain go down one of the windows. a half hour passes, it's 8:00, a speaker crackles to life and announces that the train to Loma Rica, California had arrived. You board the train and take the third seat from the front of the train car. some people were on already, most likely previous passengers. Soon the train was nearly filled. You put your suitcase on the luggage rack and put your jacket on the seat next to you. The train starts its 2-day course and soon the country-side is flashing by. You check the little brochures and safety pamphlets in the chair even thought you already knew what they were going to say. You find a map [click here for map] of the train. You note that you're sitting in room 6/third class. At 12, you head off to the dining hall for lunch. There you meet a few people. You make some small talk and write their names and descriptions in your notebook so you will know if and when you try to sell something to them.

1. Arthur Murphy; a round man with glasses as round as their owner; seems to be a writer; carries an inhaler; had an assortment of notebooks, the top one said "notes for the unusual suspect", maybe he's writing a book or something; didn't want to talk; is in the second-class section/ room number 4

2. Mort and Harriet Anderson; retired couple; wealthy; thought i was a busboy; collect rare artifacts from foreign countries; said they were going to an antique convention; are in first class/ room number 10

3. Paul Stone; about 17 years old; said he was on a trip to Loma to see his grandparents; 3rd class/booth number 15

4. Frederick and Heidi Clough; a young German European, i assume German, couple. They said they came to America for vacation, they'd been traveling across the country, they weren't so fluent when it came to speaking though; second class/ room number 5

5. Judeth Brickmoor; An old lady; carries around a pet dog, it's kinda annoying, but Judeth was nice enough, she said she was here to see an old friend first class/ room number 6

6. Dan, Miranda, Brenda and John; four friends who "like to travel"; they were kinda loud but only the older people seemed bothered by it
second class/ room number3

You finish your meal and head back to your seat, Judeth passes you by first and is followed soon by the four friends, Mort and Harriet, Paul, and Murphy. You pull out a crime novel and read for a few hours, some people go back and forth, to the bathroom maybe. At around six, the speaker cracks out that dinner will be ready until eight. You put down your book and head to the dining hall, you were the first one there. You order a mediocre roast-beef sandwich and watch as more people come in. The first one is the rich couple, they sit at the other side of the dining hall start chatting it up. The next person was Paul, followed shortly by the group of four and the German Couple . The writer came in at around 7:30 with a scowl on his face, he eyed the loud group of friends with contempt. You order a drink and then head back to your booth. Soon everyone's walking by to go back to their rooms. Your about to pick up your book again when a scream is heard. You walk to the next car, the writer stuck his head out with a scowl "Can't you get a minute of silence here?" He sees you "Hey, hey you, will you check out what the hell happened? I would but I'm trying to finish this goddamn book before Monday" He goes back into his room before you can say anything to protest. You look through the windows that go between the cars, Mrs. Anderson is holding Judeth's dog who's shaking almost as much as Mrs. Anderson. You walk run into the next car and see what happened. You peer into Judeth's room and see that the large glass window was broken and a hammer was on the floor, there was no sign of Judeth. You turn to Mrs. Anderson. "Did she- What happened- is she in the bathroom or something" The last question was kind of stupid but Mrs Anderson answered anyway "W-Well i was was just int he bathroom and no-one else was there..." You said that you'd tell the conductor and walk to the second cabin to the service room. The door opens before your hand hits the door, a suprised employee sputters out, "Oh, is there anything i can help you with?" You explain what happened and ask what should be done. The employee explains that he knew Judeth and she had been using this train company every week for 5 years. "She had a lot of places to be- she was a retired judge, she wasn't the kind of person that would commit suicide. I know that for sure, she was- she was my Aunt. She must have been murdered, the question is, who? It couldn't have been any of the employees, we were all working in the dining hall and the conductor is busy, well, controlling the train. it must have been one of the passengers. We have to find out who it was before we arrive, Loma Rica is a small place with a small station, it would be easy to leave without getting noticed. Plus more people may be hurt."

Rules/ How to Play:

This game will take place over the next week. The goal is to find out who killed the victim.
I will release more information as time goes along.
You may post your theories and ask questions (though some i may not answer)
To guess who the Killer was, you as a group must have a consensus of at least 60% by the end of the week.
If you guess wrong or don't come to a conclusion you lose and the culprit escapes.
You all play the traveling business-man/woman but let's just say there's more than one or whatever, you are all individual characters, your just represented by the business-man/woman

Those brochure links sent me to some random sites. Has this user been on at all? I think this thread is such a cool idea. It is very different from your average word game.
