I did but I doubt Galy will change her mind. She has a tendancy to offer on any rare in the exchange and buy it...then she has like muliples of each item and sells them off one by one. She will sell for a discounted price sometimes but it's usually a 24 hour or 3 day sale and if the market has changed then sometimes the discount price can be similar or more than what she bought it for - I think. I don't really follow her sales that closely. I bought my pot of gold from her for 4k when I was kin. It just kinda sucks because the one hairpin in the exchange I can finally offer on, is already in trade and will disappear for months. If I recall correctly, the last hairpin she sold in the exchange was priced at 25k. I only have 11k....13k if I sell a gown back.

:( That's not good. I don't know why people buy multiples of items. It's greedy to me.

I dunno...I don't really fault them because it's not like they're not allowed to do it. And she does sell things at a discounted rate sometimes. As far as I know, she's never tried to inflate their value. It does get a bit frustrating though when you think of all the rares locked away in one account or when they offer on the same rares you do but have more funds. It gets a bit frustrating yeah. ^^;

And I don't get that either. It's not like you can use multiples...

Because for a lot of people, this was their first event and chance to collect a lot of future rares....items that will sell for thousands of gold in a year or so.

People who come here come from Gaia and any other avatar site....it happens everywhere.

They came toget away from Gaiathough andyetkeep trying to turn it into gaia.

I'm guilty of collecting extra Halloween sets during the event.
I kept having candy pop up left and right!
I'm not really trying to hoard them and inflate the price though.
I'm hoping tp use them to trade for other rares one day.
I like the idea of having some items to use for a trade since I'm bad at holding on to pure for a long time.

Because people on gaia who didn't join in the beginning wish they could have....they want to be able to gain that status here. You may not like it, but it's going to happen.

I'm of the opinion that the rules we have will only last the site for so long. It will grow large enough one day that it won't be controllable anymore (like gaia) and rules will no longer really be enforced. It's bound to happen, just enjoy the site while it's still young and fun. ^^;

See that's different. What else were you supposed to do with the candy that popped up? And the same with paying real money for them. If you like a site please donate to it. But to me, going out and collecting them is just greedy.

Well it doesn't have to if the staff are aware of what is needed. As I say, I know older sites which are still as controlled as they were when I joined before Gaia even existed. You know, it's hard work, but if you're dedicated to it, then it is doo-able and I'd be dissapointed in the staff if they let things go to hell in a handbasket.

The staff do seem to be ontop of things though here so only time will tell.

That's true. I mean statistically speaking, most people here are from Gaia and as they turned Gaia into what it is now there's the strong possability of it happenning again, but then there's also the fact that we've all seen what's happenned to Gaia and can learn from it. Do things differently.
