It's not fair. As a child I've always had porcelean skin. Nice, smooth, very soft. Even as a teenager I was fine I had wonderful skin and I took it for granted. I mean I used nothing on it, no moisturiser, no cleansing wipes and a ton of make-up. Now I'm more careful on how I treat my skin I cleanse my face daily, I remove make-up before bed, and now I have teenage skin. Nasty red spots just keep popping up on my chin and my cheekbones right by ny nose! I can't seem to stop them comming. Thankfully I only get like one at a time, but still!
Anyone know why you get spots when you take good care of your skin?

I know you can have more spots before or during your period. Also, stress and tiredness sure can have consequences on your skin.

I still get spots, at the ripe old age of 36, my chin is my problem area too, especially before my period.
I think it's definitely a hormonal thing with me though, if I stop taking the pill my skin just erupts! It's disgusting :x
I will break out if I slack off with my skincare too, if I cleanse tone and moisturise twice a day faithfully my skin does thank me by behaving. But I'm poor at the moment and can't afford the lovely skincare that i usually get from Lush :( So i'm back to bog-standard Olay moisturiser because you can buy a bucketful for a fiver

I am a boy and only 14 but all my friends call me a freak because i am so conscious of my skin staying nice, i put about 7 different product's on 3 times a day just to keep it nice, even my mum borrows my stuff, and i pay for all my stuff on my own, about £150 a month...my friends say i should save that money and wait till i am older to buy a car or something, but i am just to...self consumed about keeping my skin nice.....
Am I Weird?

I still break out on my chin. When I went to the doctor over summer, he asked me if I sit with my head propped up with my hand a lot and I was like "Uh...yeah...I'm a bored college student xD" He said the oils from my hands make my face worse than natural...and told me to wash with something specific this time. It's much better now, not entirely cleared up but way better. : D

I site with my thumb and second finger in an L shape. thumb under my chin, second finger at my hair line and my middle finger between my lips so they're not where I get spots...

Probably form all the polllution.
Or maybe your pillow case is dirty?
I used to have a total zit-face when I was young like in grade 4 and 5. Now-a-days I wear tons of makeup without washing and never get any zits/bloches

hehe. Life must be so easy for men, they wake up fling whatever on, brush their hair do their teeth splash some water on their faces and eat whatever.
Not wake up spend half an hour+ styling their hair use 3+ things to wash, have 4+ shampoos and conditioners and make sure your panties match your jeans which go with your top which goes with your accessoires which go with your shoes and then have to watch what you eat.
Sigh all the pressure -poses melodramatically-
But seriously, who does want a boyfriend that takes longer to get ready in a morning than you do? How much of a turn off is that? So envious of the different standards set for guys.

lol My aunt was telling me something like that, too, to her skin. She wares a lot of make-up too, sometimes, so I'm pretty sure that's the problem. =3 Make-up clogs the skin.

It's not teenage skin. It's called adult acne. Adults get acne for different reasons than teenagers. Teenagers generally get it because of their hormone imbalance. Adult acne is usually caused by other things. And simply "taking care of your skin" isn't always a sure fire way to get rid of it. I'd suggest seeing a doctor about it and seeing if they can figure out what's triggering it. I know that I had a problem with it for a while when I got off my birth control pills I had been taking for 5 years... Apparently my body had become reliant on some of the chemicals in the pills and so now I have to take them to maintain my complecton.

It's not called acne if it's only one or two spots at a time.

No clue.
I know that I have acne all over although I take care of my skin. I'm not sure why specifically; I do have things to get rid of it, but (1) it turns my skin tanner/redder (which I don't like), and (2) I'm usually too lazy to do it/remember it. (I do part of it, then I forget about the last half of it. I am lazy AND forgetful.)

Thankfully, my zits are usually pretty far and few between. It's actually kind of strange; all of my friends spend hours putting on moisturizers and all that other crap and still have bad skin. I put on nothing and have pretty good skin.
Lately I've been getting more though.. but I will attribute that to not eating well, stress, little sleep, etc.

I love how you always disagree with my posts >.>; Even when I'm trying to help. Guess I'll have to learn my lesson.
Anyway, if you're taking care of your skin and still getting "zits" or "Pimples" or "blemishes" or whatever term you prefer... and you are already physically matured, and an adult... It's probably not due to what cleanser you are or are not using, and I STILL suggest seeing a specialist. And one or two pimples does not sound like "the skin of a teenager" to me... The way you made it seem sounds like either those one or two zits are huge or there are more than one or two... Because teenage skin is usually characterized by a lot of zits.
But since it doesn't matter what I say, whatever... Good luck or what not. I'll go.

hehe I hate having to remember to do things. I only really remember to cleanse properly because I put my glasses on top of my skin stuff :P I am pretty untidy and it's really the only place available on my bedside chest of drawers :P
Ahh I screwed my skin up working in MacDonalds, I've been slowly working to get rid of it and I've got it down from being covered in them to having odd ones pop up. I just have to persevere I guess. Curse MacDonalds! But alas I was at college and needed the money. Cest la vie!
You shouldn't take things so literally, you really are rather high-strung aren't you? I did say in my post, did you even bother to read past the title? that it was only one or two which is not acne. I am not seeing a specialist I don't need one. Get off of your high horse and chill out or failing that just be quiet. Of course I'm going to disagree with you when you're going off down some random road with no clue what everyone else is talking about. Try reading things before posting so you don't sound like an idiot if you don't want people to disagree with you. I have acne? Bah don't make me laugh!

I have the occasional problem with acne but it is now a lot better than what it was in high school. Plus now I only ever get it if I eat a lot of junk food or when I am close to my period. I am lucky though since I am such a clean freak when it comes to my skin and hair. I can't go for a day without washing my hair ((I get really fidgety with it if I leave it any longer) and if I don't at least cleanse my face I start rubbing my cheeks (so much oil *shudders*).

I don't produce much oil. My hair needs washing once, maybe twice a week. Depends how hot it is.
