Good point!
Ken and barbie are naked if you took away the clothes! they don't print their undies on the doll...

My ken doll actually did have underwear printed into his plastic. they were tighty whitey style but flesh colored because the image was stamped right into him.
Some of my barbies had cloth panties and some had panties that were sewn as part of the dress and some went commando o.o

If I remember correctly, a few of my barbies had underwear printed in the plastic, but no bra.
xD;
I have no idea about the ken dolls.

Well it's not sooo bad because they don't have nipples or anything either. Maybe they're wearing full body suits and that's why there's a seam at the neck . :XD

I remember distantly that my old Barbie doll (old as in the one with the crazy proportions and feet) having light blue panties, but no bra. xD
Never really owned a Ken doll, though.

I only ever had one ken doll which was disappointing because I subscribed to barbie magazine which showed all the new doll series when they came out.
I was always really disappointed that I had barbie, midge, ken, skipper, stacie and little sister Kelly and a "kelly" doll that looked like midges little sister and yet I never got any of the "African American" versions of the dolls. I did ask for them but for some reason never got any. It felt really incomplete.

I never trust those magazine orders, I personally prefer buying them as I see them from the shops. xP
Of all the same type of collectible items, the only ones I'm keeping are Polly Pockets. xD
How much is it if you were to hunt online for those dolls to complete your set, Thulhu?

I think it is not our culture to trust online transactions. *nods*
Especially the location is not strategic.
My friends after went over to UK, started to crazy bid on e-bay.

I don't think it's so much culture than the habitual risk in this place of ordering from mags/books/internet.
Buh, China/Taiwan made items. lol

I don't know I pretty much gave up on barbies awhile ago. i do still have some polly pockets though. But not so much for collecting as for future generations. Any daughters or nieces I may have should get the opportunity to play with a polly pocket playset where the whole playset fits in their pockets , not just the doll. :P
It like progress has taken something away that would make my child's life possibly less fun than mine was and things are supposed to get better for each generation.

Haha xD
Was never really into Barbie, but my mum bought them then because they were really popular and thought I might like them. My younger brother seem to enjoy them better, though. Even called the Ken doll "Bobby".
*nods* When you put it that way, yes, I see what you mean. Partly the reason why my mum insisted I keep the mini Polly Pocket sets and old Hello Kitty house models. =)

I've been on an art hiatus for so long, that's all. The problem is most of my commissions are CG, which takes a lot of time. I am much faster with pencil works. xP
