This yeah, my mom got me a Hello Kitty calendar for my room, and I bought myself a small calendar with Japanese wood carvings for my cube. I also have a Baseball Hall of Fame page-a-day calendar in my kitchen.

Have you ever talked to your boss or tech person about getting firefox?

It is a more secure browser - maybe you could get them to let you install it.

I would have suggested that to my bosses awhile ago, except that one of the girls in the office is just so computer illiterate that if anything were to change she would bitch about it until they changed it back. I'm not kidding you, she didn't know about caps lock, number lock or scroll lock. And she's a few years younger then me, so you know she was raised in the computer generation.

Oh, yeah. Internet explorer is horrible for changing stuff on Menewsha. Outfits, certainly, but I simply could not change my hair when I was still using it.

I can change the hair on IE, but it takes forever for it update and show it.

I have never been on mene in IE ^^;; So I wouldn't know.

hmm...is firefox good in blocking bad virus sites and such?

I've never had a problem with viruses and such. I also don't download anything I don't trust though.
and firefox also has the best pop up blockers from what I have seen.

hmm... I only prefer firefox for its tab and its search bar and fast loading.

My tech doesn't allow me to alter anything. I think it totally sucks. I don't download anything because he says it's all crap. I'm not even permitted to upgrade IE to 7.

well gosh, it would be nice to check your email and file things in fashion! D: (the latest browser available that is) and firefox is safer! don't you want those documents safe? :P

I hate the connection at work...sometimes it's fast, other times it crawls. Our tech guys laugh when they come in to fix our computers. They detest my computer for it's age and slowness. Oh well. Not sure if the bosses would switch over to firefox...doubt it.

That sucks he won't let you use firefox - most tech people I know try to push firefox because it's generally just a better browser.

One reason I'm happy to work for a University is that we are usually up on the latest technology. In fact, our tech people put out emails basically requiring us to start using FireFox and Thunderbird. It was great.

And my office doesn't block anything...that I've discovered anyway.

I didn't realize you worked for a University!

What do you do? I work for a university as well - I'm a department secretary. I have 11 faculty and 10 PhD students I take care of. :p

well that is one good thing about working in a university. <3 at least you are kept up to speed on technology

The point is that I shouldn't be online so it's not necessary for me to have it.
