I guess it depends on what part of Florida you're in for the bugs - my grandparent's live in Clearwater and I've never encountered giant bugs, and they have been missed by almost all the storms.

Clearwater, Largo, and St. Petersburg are lovely areas, Tampa is a pretty nice city too (but there are lot of Scientology people there)

lol the bugs on the east coast are bigger then those on the west coast from what I have seen. I think it's because there is more greenery here XD

That's part of it Mel, and because we are more humid, which is good for breeding insects.

I agree Snow, for the most part. If they stay away from me, I'm pretty okay with them--they do serve a purpose I guess. But there does NOT need to be so many of them!

Mel...Scientology is nothing more then a glorified cult, just don't drink the kool-aid. I'll try to dig out all my information on them again. Did a paper for school once outlining why organized religions are bad. My notes are somewhere.

Scientology claims to be a religion but runs like a for profit business - the more I learn about them the more squicked I am by them.

Sia, most religions are a for profit business, others are better at hiding their true natures then others. We all remember from history class indulgences that peasants bought because they thought it would ensure their souls went to heaven and the church officials grew fat and rich from this quick way of obsolving a person's sins. If only things were that easy.

Haha - seriously - most organized religions are into selling stuff - I know they need money to operate - but there's some dirty ways to get the money.

So far the only organized religion I've even remotely liked are the Unitarians- i like them because they are very open and accepting and don't try to push god or anything like that.

My brother is having a Unitarian marry him and Ian - she said it was really nice to have family support of their wedding and most weddings like theirs don't have that. She also asked them if they even wanted God mentioned in the ceremony - I love that they do that.

I haven't spent a lot of time looking into them - I'm not overly interested in religion right now - but if I do find the need for spirituality they are probably the place I will turn.

yay for glorified cults. >.< bah. One of these days hopefully people will see things for what they really are.

in my high school everyone had to do a senior project. A friend made a religion called farcism, it pretty much brought out everything that is wrong with religions and made a joke out of it. Though he failed the project...apparently the 'experts' in the field that the school brought in for him weren't too keen on having their religions made fun of. :/

I guess they wouldn't like being made fun of. As for Scientology, I am just not agreeing to it at all.

we look awesome Roo. (:

As far as scientology is concerned. I know nothing about it so I won't pass judgment, but that doesn't mean I would be willing to join their 'religion' by any means. :P *shrugs* to each his own, as long as they don't start pressing their beliefs on me I'm fine with them existing.

Scientology was founded by a man who wrote science fiction. Apparently, he had made a statement that they way to make a lot of money was to start a religion....this was before he founded Scientology. I don't have a problem with anyone choosing to follow that path. I personally think it's whoowee.

Like I said I don't pass judgment unless I have personally researched all the facts. I don't deal with he say/she say. As long as they're not tearing down my doors I'm okay.<3

Good morning everyone.

It was rather busy putting the villages together Sia but I have to say that Jeanne is a godsend. She just amazed me. It went rather quickly with her sheet she made.
