I work in Asset Management, basically we have clients - other companies - and we track all their computing and networking equipment. So I manage databases, run reports, etc.
Morning Roo ^.^ - you know, I have a treadmill, lol I really have no excuse!

I really really would love to have a treadmill but I just don't have the room for it, nor can I afford one.

fflur- I had a friend that did it multiple times with just two eggs being implanted each time. The first time they landed too close together in her uterus and so they 'fused' together, the second time they made sure that they would move further apart so that that problem wouldn't happen again.
Ette- for me, no there would be no surgery. They use like a dart blow-gun like thing to just blow them in there. haha. at least that's how I understand it XD But no they pretty much just place them in there, it's about the same as getting an IUD from what I hear, uncomfortable and everything but not really painful.
and yes, another 40 weeks (which technically is 10 months) but it isn't too bad. <3 I've done it twice and once with twins, I think I could easily handle it again.
Roo- I think there will still be a bond. I mean, they are the baby that you would be caring for from the very beginning of their life up until they enter the world. But I think it will be the sort of...I want you to live your life to the fullest and be happy etc type of bond.
I want a stationary bike. Those things are awesome. >.>

I agree Mel that there would be some sort of bond but not like I thought at first.

I think that is what most people think. Whenever I mention it people are like, wow you could give up one of your kids?!?! ...uh no, it's their kid, and I will be giving it to the parents. :/ I think most of the problem is people just don't understand how it is done. My grandpa heard from my uncle that I was going to do it...and he was totally against it. XD But I think most of that was him thinking I would be having sex with someone other then scott to give a baby to someone else. haha. silly grandpa.

Yes I agree. To be honest at first I thought the surrogate had to have sex with the parent/father. It was only recently I found out otherwise.

I do know there are scientific ways to get baby without having sex. DX (due to reading tooo many novels...)
Even though geneticly won't be yours children, but won't the blood and body produce by the carrier?
I think the people is thinking like, you have it for 9 months, genetically yours or not, you feel it in your body for 9 months and you give it away?
kinda thinking.
or more like, I have spent days and nights working on the project, but I have to give the project to the person because he is the one that come out with the concept.
and... blowgun?lol.

ette- te blowgun thing was sorta a joke, it's just how it was described to me XD Also, babies are in a sac in the uterus. the sac holds all of the amniotic fluid etc, the only place that the baby touches the parent, is through the umbilical cord, and even then it has a membrane that is thin enough to let oxygen from the mothers blood into the blood for the baby and pass off nutrients as well. But the blood from the mother never actually touches the blood from the baby. Which is why sometimes if the baby is say an A+ blood type and the mother is A- (the father in this case would also be A+) after the first child is born the mother might create antibodies against the protein + on the blood and so children after that one have a higher possibility of being miscarried. (since the antibodies also travel between the membrane, it keeps the baby from getting sick except for in this case) the antibodies would attack the babies blood for haivng the positive protein. But I'm getting a bit off topic... haha the babies blood and body are all produced by the sperm and the egg. They hold all of the genetic information for both the mother and the father and as they multiply the cells get specialized and start developing into tissue, and organs, etc. Does that make sense? XD
Roo- I wouldn't have sex with anyone other then Scott. XD I mentioned in a thread before, other men and their man parts scare me XD

they have some pretty interesting stuff online. XD Sex would be a bad method of getting pregnant for a surrogate, since timing could just be off. I'm already going to be injecting some crazy hormones into my body to match the eggs maturity times.
anyway, enough about surrogacy and such, How is work today Roo?

Work today is steady. Not extremely busy but I have enough to keep me going for the day. Makes time go faster.
Edit: Sort of bummed I didn't win anything in the raffle but that's ok. I'll just have to work for the CI's :)

I'm kinda bummed about the raffle too. I was really hoping fflur would get the golden clover hairpin since both me and her put in for it for her to win. >.< the odds were with us dang it! lol. there will be more. <3
