- So I just found out that the daughter of one of the nurses at my school is going to be an olympian for the 2008 games in Synchronized Swimming. I had no clue that she was that high up on the ladder. As it is, I do know one person who was 3rd in the US in fencing and could have been offered a spot on the olympic fencing team if he had kept competing a lot. He was my coach for the summer, but I knew he was that good. But to know that the person I was talking about earlier is on the olympic team without me knowing, ....yeah. It's a shock.
Do you ever have anything completely random like this pop up in your life?
Do you know any Olympians/people rated high nationally??
Have you met with Olympians?
Etc, etc, etc
As it is, that means that I have now met 4 Olympians and am friends with 5 people on or who have been on national teams. Let's see...Ralf Bissdorf got a silver in Sydney, Akos got around 7th or 8th, Dmitri got 5th on team, and I can' remember where the last person placed. Also have met with someone from the Filipino National Team for woman's foil fencing.

I know a girl who is on the national jujitsu team (she also models wedding gowns XD), and I know another girl who won the national wrestling competition (in her class of course, she's thirteen ^^)
I think that counts for something, even if it's not the olympics ^^

hehe. I don't know any olympians, but I was a synchronized swimmer for 10 years...I'll bet I've heard of that girl, whoever she is. XD I went to several national competitions, and got to see the best of the best swim.
Most of the good teams are from Cali.

My friend is a guitarist for bands, who are usually by themselves on album.
My friend is Texas best swimmer, and goes go nationals, and is going to going to try to be in the Olympics in 2008. My fencer coach has a student, my friend who is going to the Olympics possibly for 2012. I know the Orange Country Chopper folks, the Manager for Toby Kieth, and some of his big time fans. One of my friends is the owner of Liby camps, and just other stuff.
He, he.

Hmmm... The name doesn't ring a bell, but I'll go find the USSS webpage. I might be too old to know the people going to the Olympics now, but I always thought they were 18-25 or so...

Wow--that's impressive.
The closest that I've ever gotten to the Olympics is a pin from 1996; my sister went to see the horses.

Might be a bit easier if you had her first name. 'Tis Andrea. :o
I think she is in that range. Can't remember though. Havn't seen her in a long time...
Edit: She's on the Pan American team thing.

As far as random things go, I was talking to this guy this one time and we started talking about where we were from. It turns out he knew the same person I knew so I thought that was weird to begin with, then come to find out he played bass in one of my favorite bands and I didn’t realize who he was until he said something about it. We still talk too, which is cool.

- Holy cow, that must be exciting. O_O *can't wait to watch the Olympics* xD
I dunno, the most random things I found out about people recently were all associated with my university:
-One girl...forgot her name at the moment...was on America's Next Top Model. She's a sophomore right now.
-One guy on America's Most Smartest Model (I was watching this on VH1 yesterday 8D HILARIOUS SHOW!) graduated as an electrical engineer.
And then there was one girl from my high school whose sister was a corpse on an episode of CSI. xD

That kinda would be unexpected to find out that you know the sister of a television corpse. That would be funny to tell to your friends randomly. xD

Do you ever have anything completely random like this pop up in your life?
To know a future Olympian, nope. ._.
Do you know any Olympians/people rated high nationally?? A friend of my brother's; for diving.
(but he's given that up)
Have you met with Olympians? A couple of the Aussie hockey girls.
That's about it. v.v
