What I LOVE is the strict anti-spam policy. Sure, it's a bit annoying not to have anywhere to go to get gold fast...but hey, I'll live, and spamming for gold always felt like cheating to me, anyway. XP

What I don't like is how limited post style stuff is. Gradient text, I don't miss...but I like being able to customize my posts with little images and whatnot. Just something simple at the beginning of each post? I like that. But of course...as it stands, that's abusing the gold system. >.<;

Although, I heard that they're working on a way to parse out BBcode from our gold earnings, so...hopefully, that won't be a problem for long. :3

I love the anti-spam rules here on Mene. It makes for a better and more educated community.
I don't like the no double-posting rule though. Sometimes you just want to post another post either to earn more gold or just keep your thread on the front page xP

well i am neutral on the bump thing, because if your in your own thread, who cares, your by yourself and when theres nothing to say? what do you say? and who cares if it earns you just 1 gold its not everyone else's problem it the bumpers and also why do they care how much gold it gives you? do they just want you to be rich? i doubt it because...well yeah I do not know it just like whatever.

To me Menewsha's rules seem fair and understanding.

Though I find myself breaking them a little bit of the time, like posting in repeat threads and stuff. But all-in-all Mene's rules are fine with me.

I pretty much agree with all of Mene's rules except double posting because sometimes one post is too big or someone will have said something and to go back and edit wouldn't look right because you already said something. To edit the post people might not see the correction and go on without realizing you responded. But I've gotten used to it on here so it's not too big an issue but still annoying sometimes.
The rules I do appreciate are the no bumping/spamming bit because on gaia that was THE most annoying thing to deal with. Because if I was talking to a friend and going about the conversation and suddenly a random person goes "Bump!" I deleted their post. It wasn't necessary and there were assigned forums for that but instead they felt inclined to post it there. ><; So I like that rule but I do wish there was a hangout forum where there didn't have to be a totally different topic and anyone could just chat for a while. Of course it would be intelligent conversation and not just bumping.

There's rules here? Wat? Kidding.
I like the rules, it keeps the n00b population down quite a bit. I never really bother with coloring my posts unless it's an RP and I want to separate certain things. Today on Gaia I did use a gradient for a welcome thread in an academy I help run, but omg it's so annoying to look at in bb form. Not to mention trying to edit that mess. So that rule makes me happy.

Rule I don't like? Don't know. I don't feel it chafing against my psyche, so that means all the rules are reasonable to me. I love how I can just click on ToS right there below my avatar. It's nice to be able to look over the rules from time to time.

I am pretty neutral on the rules--they keep order here and that is the main thing, but at the same time some are mildly irritating like text formatting (I mostly leave my post plain just to avoid the entire issue).

I like pretty much all the rules on this site. I love how there's no spamming and inappropriate topics, unlike other sites I've been a part of.

The only rule that has really annoyed me so far, is the "no repeat topics" rule. At first, I had no problem with it. It seemed like a really good idea! Then I felt like joining a certain type of RP. And when I found what I was looking for, it was...well...kinda n00bishly made. I like RPs with more structure and rules and...literacy.
So now what? It's not like I can make my own version of the RP. That would break the "no repeat topics" rule. Unless there's some way around the rule. I haven't found it.

I am 100% behind their no spam policy, but sometimes I'd like to double post to bring a thread up, or I'm in a thread with several people replying to lots of them and I might double post... I shouldn't have to feel guilty about that. >.<

I prefer sites with a stance of "No triple posting"... double posting is not encouraged, but it is not counted against you.

I LOVE Menewsha's no spam rule. That rule ROCKS like no other, and makes Menewsha what it is. I mean... bumps do get annoying after a while, and it encourages people to act annoying with their leet speak and such.

I don't have a least or a favorite. :]

I think the rules on Mene are fair and is one of the reasons why the community is clean and nice ;D Of course it's also the people but they can decide whether they want to break the rules or follow the rules :]

Without spammers of course. x] <3

now i have the fun task of going back through my post history and changing Bold (what people call spoonfeed postings) to Quotes.

because apparently not quoting something that isnt my own is me trying to get gold...

which isn't the point. i Bold Discussion tags because its easier to see. and its something i am use to

Quoting can look very ugly an elongate scrolling.

i guess this means i have to report post in GD for Bolding instead of Quoting?

EDIT
well
apparently necroing a good topic is wrong
i guess i should have started a new thread

anyway. sorry about this

I'm not sure if it's a rule...I don't like how mods come and lock your thread. For one thing, I almost got the wrong idea when I started...I was like OH my thread was locked, I must have done something really bad. Because that's how it works everywhere else.

The one rule I dislike the most is the one thread per user rule in the exchange. xD Sometimes business needs to be done fast and get attention, especially since we haven't been able to change our titles in a week. XD

Love the no spam rule. Its almost painful to go back into Gaia these days. Its just full of random people babbling about nothing just to get gold D:
I like it here where we'd actually have to earn it. (Though it gets tiring sometimes ^^; )

I don't mind the rules, but I live in fear of double posting... It some times happens, my post posts twice. The same thing twice. It confuses me.

There's no need to fear! Underdog is here! - I mean, if it's obviously a double-post the server does (accidental double-posting) there is no slap on the wrist given.

Double-posting is more like if you posted, "Hey guys!" (new post) "Uh... guys?" That one is against the rules. XD;

The RP forum is something of an exception: there are multiple pokemon fan RP's, A couple Silent Hills....and certain concepts are very standard in any rp, so forbidding them from ever being repeated would entirely defeat the purpose. The rule is intended to prevent, say, five hundred topics on J.K. Rowling or Garth Nix in the books forum, or ten topics on "What's your favorite CI" item in the Community Discussion.
The one thing you can't do in the RP forum is direct copy an entire RP from Gaia to Mene to make some extra gold. That's cheating. You can however take the concept, and then run the game fresh.

(And yeah, even my browser likes to double post things sometimes. ;) )

I don't care for the double-post rule either that much. It feels so... tempting! :o I mean, it is much more convenient than losing gold by editing a post. And then, everyone knows you edited the post, which is .. ech, especially since for me, I have had to go back a lot lately because I left something out I meant to say, and I didn't feel like waiting for someone else to post after me.

Otherwise the rules are fair I think. And, I'm glad they are what they are, it makes this place just that much more amazing, when people follow the guidelines.

The one thread in exchange rule. Combined with the title bug. D< I hate editing threads so having just one thread is a bit of an annoyance.

My favorite rule is no spamming, there aren't people who are like "Omgiahasfhajshfa.." and such, just to make gold. The one I dislike is no doubleposting >.< I know you can edit it and all..but I just don't like editing my posts.
