I think corsets are sexy. Comfort is another issue. And I wouldn't be willing to blow the bank for one.

I own 3 corsets and I love them. I want more. There's this green one I've been eyeing for quite sometime now but I have to pay bills. >.<

As far as good quality corsets go $350 is a normal price - but it is still a big purchase.
I bought a corset not too long ago - I haven't really worn it out yet- but whenever I put it on and model it people admire how great it makes my waste and bust look  I need to get a top to wear under it because I did not buy one that had cups - so it's an accessory and not a top.
That's why I bought it in the first place - I was at a shopping even and a local store had a stall there where they would try corsets on you - and when I put it on I was so impressed with how great it looked I bought it on the spot

No, I'm a guy.
But my friends have a few, and by the way, thats hugely expensive. I do 18th century reenacting and and friends make them, and there well made, and it only costs them several hours and ten bucks, top. Oh well, several hour shopping for clothes, crazy sowing women. Anyway you can make them yourself, if you have all the right stuff.

Corsets are nice, but I would never wear one. I can't afford one anyway, because most of my money goes towards my college tuition and food.

Well, I'm a guy, so I don't know if I can, or if guys do anyway. :P I wouldn't wear one anyway. It looks kind of painful. I'm sure girls have a reason to wear one. I think is it because they are trying to make their hips smaller. I think there is a woman with about a 15 inch waist! They is smaaaalll! :D

I have never worn a corset and I don't believe that I ever will. It looks very painful to wear one.
If I were to buy one, I'd probably want to get the best one, but I wouldn't pay over $200 for one.

I wouldn't mind trying one on for like a couple minutes or so.
I think it would be fun ^^
If it is uncomfortable, though, I do not think I would purchase one.
Kind of like a try-before-you-buy kind of thing.

I have one in my closet.
But I only wear it on Halloween.
Because it's kinda in the gothic style.
It didn't cost more then 100$
It's not super comfy but it's okay.
It just needs to fit you, that's all.

I sew, and I've made a couple of corsets, but they were both made without real boning. I just cut up yogurt containers, because I didn't have a way to get anything remotely like real boning. I plan to make a real corset as my next big sewing project. I haven't' sewn anything for a while. I could use a corset anyways. I've been gaining a bit of weight lately. XD
And yes, I've worn the corsets I made, but the satin lining sucks and came all undone... A rather waste of my time.

I wear corsets... I find them a lot comfier than bras and they really help my posture too. However I had a busy season this ear so I've not replaced the broken ones and now I feel all wrong!
See a properly laced corset re-arranges your internal organs to allow for the hourglass shape which on me isn't much because I have an hourglass figure naturally but still it was enough. So all season I've been feeling very...wierd!
Regular use and the organ movement also cause trouble if you're in an accident and need surgery. Mainly yoour squishy bits aren't in the right place.
How much do I pay? A fair bit. I have them all hand made to specific measurements. I'm quite tall so buying regular length one is out of the question as (and I have an old one from a kid to prove this) they end at my belly button and with my ribs rather than at my hips. So custom is the only way to go though. But as they're undergarments I only really wear them underneath my clothes so I just get cotton rather than expensive/easily damaged materials.

- If you have the right figure it could look pretty hot, I think. 8)
And they're not trying to make their hips smaller, they're actually trying to make the hips look bigger - it's the waist that some of them are trying to make smaller. Mostly it's just good for your back and for holding in flabby bits, makes you look elegant.

I would wear one...partially for the posture, and the figure wouldn't hurt, either. I've probably got a bit too much flab for it to work, though.

I don't even wear a bra, so no, I don't wear a corset on a regular basis. I love the look and feel of corsets though (sans squished in waist) so I have a corset that I got from an underwear store that I like a lot. I got it in a size that fit me without restricting my breathing at all.
Personally, I'm not all that into the hourglass shape. It can look very lovely, when natural, but the corseted type bothers me. Then again, clothes like corset and high heels bother me in general, for irritating feminist reasons that I wont bother you with. (It's not an individual's use of them that bothers me, but what they symbolize.)

I love to wear corsetts. I don't actually own a traditional one, but I have tried them on before. It depends on how well the corsett is made as to whether or not I would spend $350 on it. My advice is for you to go through Fredrick's. They have pretty decent corsetts that are fairly cheap. If you go in between seasons, you might be able to find one on sale that is say summer colors that they are clearing out for fall.

I've worn one before, only for a few minutes though.
I would wear one for a costume only, because it ruins your back muscles if you wear it too often.
(Or the old fashioned Renaissance kind do, anyway.)
I still have bruises on my boobs from trying it on for five minutes...and that was a week ago.
(It did fit properly, by the way.)

I've worn corsets, and I love it!! ^_^
The last time I wore it was at my school prom in July. It's really pretty as well, as it's got metal rings which you can add chains to :)
But I was given it so I don't know how much it cost the person...however, I saw some in this shop I browsed through a while back and it costs around £70 or so here in the UK.

Corsets are one of the things that I have mixed feelings about... I think that basically, they look bad on plus-sized women, unless of course they are going for a promiscuous Renaissance woman look... Then again, this might just be based on my only friend I know that wore a corset to school once. She thought she looked really great in it, because it showed off her chest, but it really just made her seem... well... I'm not sure if this site enjoys the word. Also, her corset was made of a rather flimsy material.
I enjoy corsets on pin-up sized women, not to thin or too thick (even though I love all body types, it just depends on the style of clothing they wear). It really accentuates the curves when used correctly. I won't lie either, PVC corsets are beautiful.
As for me wearing one? Never.

I absolutely LOVE Corsets. I have 3. If you go to the pic thread, there's a pic on the last page of me in one of mine.
So far, I've only given about $60 for all of mine. I have bills to pay and unfortunately, I can't afford much higher.
If it were completely up to me, my wardrobe would be nothing but corsets.

I must agree with you to some extent there. However, I've always wanted to wear one of those kinky gothic Victorian ones that have all the lace and stuff. They look so pretty~ >_______________<;

Real corsets are awful for health, the kind that constrict the rib cage and squish organs. They make fainting more frequent and cause definite problems in general. The decorative I-am-slightly-slimming ones, though, are fine. I think they're pretty. Those, I'd wear. :3
