Crap, I missed a lot while school was grilling my butt. . .

Roommates and dorms: Yeah, I'm gonna plan on living in a dorm up at the university I'm planning on going to (I just have to wait till December 15th to see if I got accepted or not. . .) My friend's a year behind me in school (he's a junior in high school this year), and we've never met outside of the internet, but we've been best friends since we were kids (he was twelve, I was fourteen). He told me he wants to come to college with me, so I'll probably be rooming with him after my freshman year IF he gets accepted and comes down to the same university. Hopefully all that will work out.

Heroes: Oh my word, I LOVE Heroes too. I only got into it this year cause the same friend I just mentioned got me into it. He filled me in on all the happenings of last year, so I'm pretty up to speed on every character and what the "Company" is and how the powers are genetic and what not. I really should. I'm so broke right now, though. And I've been wanting to buy other stuff like video games and what not -- but MY BIRTHDAY, and then CHRISTMAS are both FAST APPROACHING! It'd always make a great birthday / Christmas gift, wouldn't you think? ;D

It's what I mostly do every year, though as the years have passed, and this holds true especially for the most recent past years, I haven't wanted as much for my birthday or Christmas. . . so, naturally, I don't ask anymore. Though, there are those special occasions when I'm running a little short on my own cash and really would like to have something. . !

I'm super glad that my birthday's within 20 days of Christmas though -- if I don't get what I wanted for my birthday, I only have to wait about two and a half weeks more!

I have been the same way. For my last three birthdays, I have asked for nothing and pretty much got nothing. I was happy with that. My birthday is two months after Christmas. Then it is a loooooong break in between gift giving season.
