I'm not much of a fan of Rap. I do like Eminem and Sean Paul is pretty good.

However I must go with Rock.

Nightwish, Seether... so many goodies and oldies too.

i'd rather pick rock than rap.

I've never liked rap, or any of the music that surrounds that genre.
I don't even like most rock, tbh...but it depends.
Although I hate the use of genres, they're still needed in order to be a bit more specific.
But, if I have to choose between either I'd go with rock. o.o;;;

I like rock more than rap.. sometimes rap can't understand the meaning or some lyrics from it and sometimes it doesn't have good beats. DX

I like more rock songs, definitely. But I like a couple of rap songs (though they're more hip-hoppyish xD).
Don't limit yourself to a certain genre, take what you like from every one. ^-^

I find rap boring and repetative

whereas rock has 1 million and 1 different ways to sound.

I love rock for its differential genre's, from alternative all the way to black metal xD

Rap is pretty boring to me. It has not a good sound,but the words...they have some meaning in a weird way.
So,I rock is a better choice to me.

I like Rock sooo much better than rap because you can't understand a word they say and most of it discrimanating, but thats just my opinion. Now, rock you can understand it's meaning and they don't be doing all that fast talking.

Rock all day baby. I like rap, just not that hardcore stuff and that stuff that talks about bein rich and gettin laid everyday :\

I prefer rock. But I agree with most of the people here, eminem is good because what he raps about has meaning. :)

Rap has absolutely no substance.

I did like rap for awhile. But eventually i chose Rock over rap, simply because i like it alot better. Only rap i might still listen to would be Eminem, thought not very often.

But I'd probably choose rock though, it's probably my favorite of the two.

there are more rock fans that rap fans here (posting in this thread at least) i counted (yeah i have nothing better to do with my time) and there are 34 rock fans and only 7 rap fans (including my vote and for neutrals i added one on both)

i'd have to go with rock i have never really liked rap other than a couple i have heard and liked a little but rock is just so much better.
