I'm doing rather well. just lots of running around and being here and being there. I have firm plans to not go anywhere for 2 weeks though. HUZZAH!

Oh, that's a long winded answer, so I'll just say I'm glad to be home from babysitting for the past 5 days and looking so forward to sleeping in my own bed.

yeah, it's summer time for all. specifically my son. :lol: which can be a frustrating thing at times, but he's in general a good kid.

XD My dad doesn't see me much, summer or no, but I like being able to hang out with my girlfriend.
So, this is pretty random, but why is it that even movies or shows that are supposed to be empowering to women are still kind of degrading? And movies that feature girl's sports are crazy degrading.

because the film industry is also targeting a male audience. that and to make you feel much better about yourself because you aren't that stupid. I think.

I've noticed the same thing... Women and gay men are constantly degraded in the media. Its sickening.

I know! Have any of you seen this stupid "Bruno" movie? I'm not the easily offended type, but I was apalled when I saw the preview. It's so degrading to homosexuals!

Yeah... His other movie wasn't even that funny... Except I did laugh at the one part when he was singing in the rodeo and all the rednecks were like "wtf???"
I'm not worried about Bruno. I just think he's gonna fail miserably at acting gay..
I was talking with my friend the other day... Many corporations run by Christians pay for anti-gay marriage ads.. One of the companies was IN N OUT (the burger joint in cali), my friend wanted to make a website about protesting the burger place... I used to go there all the time but now I'm trying not to// Bloody christians should stay awayyy from politics.

I think religion in general should stay out of politics. =o=
I'm just so annoyed that they let that stuff play. I mean, there's other stuff they can't do because it'd be offensive to certain people, but apparently gays aren't a group that matters enough.
