So.. my bus usually shows up around 6:50am, but this morning I accidently slept in until 6:48am.. My dad had woken me up and said "Get ready for school, I'll bring you up."
Well, I got dressed, cleaned up, and got my stuff together.. but when I went upstairs to see if he was ready, he was fxcking sleeping. So I figured I'd do the dishes - one of my chores - to see if he woke up soon. Afterall it was only 7:30 and I didn't have to be to school until 7:55.
Well it was 7:45 and he still wasn't awake.. so I went back down to my room to call my mom, who works night shifts and should be home soon anyway, but she didn't answer.. so I turned on my computer to wait and now here I am.
It's about 7:54 now.. wtf. I'm not impressed. At all.

In about 15 minutes, I shall hop into my car and take a drive to school, where I will proceed to sleep through my first period

@Natt`: I wish I had one :[
@Arousal: His alarm clock went off every 5 minutes. He just put it back on sleep. I don't think I would have made much of a difference. He probably knows more about that alarm clock than he does me.
So I just found out that my younger brother is still in bed.
I still can't contact my mom.
And I don't know wtf he's doing. At this point I really don't care. I'm not very impressed with that guy, and I'll just wait for my mom to get home. I only had two study halls for first and second period, but it's not like I'm missing much.. I just hate missing school.

Wake his sorry hide up?
I'd be less than impressed as well. D:<
When saying that you will take someone to school, this requires not going back to bed like a dipshit. D:<

Ugh, seriously? That's pathetic, Nathuram. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
I'd say you could walk, but I'm assuming that you live a little far away for that.
Only thing you can do is wait for your mother, I guess...and let her know exactly how irritated you are. D:<

I hate when that happens to me Dx When it was the night before my birthday, I wanted to go out to buy a cake and my dad had PROMISED to take me to get one (I hate buying my cake too early), but when he got to my house, he went to sit in front of the TV and watched 'Friends' I asked him when we were going to go and he said he wanted to relax first, which was understandable since he had to take four busses since his car was getting fixed. So an hour later, I came down to ask him again, and it turned out he had been sleeping that whole time Dx then he wouldn't wake up till morning Dx
It's not so much that I didn't get my cake that angered me, it's just the fact that he had PROMISED, and if you promise, no matter how tired you are, you should follow through Dx

Well he promised he would take you up to school and since he didn't he gets the lovely job of explaining to your school why you weren't there today. Since you missed the bus and I only assume you can't drive or don't have a vehicle it's his responsibility to get you to school on time. If my mom did that I would poke her till she either woke up or called the school to tell them I was sick or something. ><;

@Aidan: I live about five miles away from the school.. so walking isn't really an option. Haha.
My mom just called, and I did just that - complained to her. My fxcking retxrd of a dad, though, eavesdropped on the entire conversation, because he's just that fxcking cool.
@Suspense: That doesn't sound pleasant at all :[ I'd be mad because I wanted a cake. Haha.
@MasterChiefrei: I have a license, but not a car. I was contemplating whether or not to just take the car and leave him stranded here. It's not like he doesn't deserve it, not to mention the irony would be funny.. on my part, at least.

I see....I would've just taken the car. XD But then does your school make you pay for parking stickers? O.o Mine does and then my plan would be foiled because my mom's car doesn't have a sticker but gladly my car does. XD But if I didn't have a car it would have to be her's but then I'd have to get a parking pass from the office. ><; I dunno how it works at your school

One time he was 20 minutes late from picking up my ex girlfriend (gf at the time) from the bus station. I planned on showing up early and surprising her with flowers.. but I guess that plan got shot down the drain. What was he doing? Playing World of Warcraft.
There was another time where he took my girlfriend home at 6:30pm, when he could have easily done it at 10-11pm. His excuse? He wouldn't have time later. Why? He was playing World of Warcraft.

@Trekkie & Kyoko Otonashi: If you read anything but the first post, you would have read that his alarm clock kept going off, and a few other stories that contributed to the neglect theory.
Next time at least skim through some posts before you make yourself look like an ass.
@Aidan: My dad works, sleeps, and plays WoW. I found a letter he had wrote on microsoft word (he's dyslexic, and barely graduated high school with no further education) that said that he regretfully had to bring my brother to hockey practice, but that he still wanted to be apart of his "clan raids" or whatever. The way the letter was written, it was obvious that my brother's games obviously weren't as important.
And my mom's a workaholic. She also work night shifts, so there's not much she can do.

Eugh. That just fills me with disgust for the man. D=
And WoW...even though I want to try it, stories like that make me scared to do so. xP
Anyway, you've managed to come out alright so far...you don't have too much longer to go before you don't have to worry about the bus and what have you anymore. Him included. -nods-

You do make it sound like you dad is an ass- but waking someone up when they are ignoring their alarm isn't that difficult - lots of people are more likely to respond to a human trying to wake them up than an alarm that can be snoozed.
I don't get why you let him sleep when you were supposed to be getting a ride to school - if it was me I would of gone into my parent's room and kept bugging them that it was time to go - not hoped that they would get up on their own. Sometimes people won't do something for you unless you ask - and assuming that someone should doesn't mean it will happen - take action and take control of the situation instead of passively seething about it.

yeah, I believe he would have woke up if YOU would have just go and wake him up, saying that you'll be late for school. maybe he just thought you weren't in a hurry and kept hitting the alarm off?
