I think it's more like using "Lol" as entire response. D= Not using "lol" in a sentence, which I suppose is text talk and considered ugly, but not spam. (It's really hard for me to shake using "lol" now and then. It just comes out. D=)

I don't know if I ever told you about the day I forgot my legs. I can't remember which day it was: it was one of those ones that happened in 1987, I can't remember which exactly, there were so many.
