For all of you Metal heads,
I'm sure you all have some
favourite metal bands from
Europe, and from the country
of Finland.
I know I do :3
My favourites are:
For My Pain...
Nightwish
Tarot
Charon
Eternal Tears of Sorrow
EMBRAZE
Reflexion
My favourite musical people
from Finland are:
Marco Hietala
Jukka (don't know last name)
Tarja Turunen
Tell us what you all think
of Finnish music and bands.

I really like Finnish music, such as Nightwish and Finntroll. In fact, all of Scandinavia has amazing music.

Nightwish and Ajattara are probably the two I listen to most along with Finntroll and Moonsorrow on occasion. Scandinavians seem like they're pretty good at churning out good music. If only us Americans would step up our game a bit... >.>

- I looooove Finntroll and Nightwish are really good too. I'm not sure I know any other Finnish bands though, and I'd love to get to know some Finnish bands that sing in Finnish. Not necessarily metal, I listen to all genres, if someone could reccommend something? :]

Ajattara's lyrics are entirely in Finnish. I forgot to add Turmion Kätilot and Ruoska to my list too (though, I really only like Turmion Kätilot, Ruoska has a couple good songs). If you're into Rammstein you should like both of these bands, and I honestly think Turmion does the "Rammstein sound" better than Rammstein themselves.

Elendar, since when did Beethoven go blind? And what did My Chemical Romance have to do with it?

Thanks for reminding me, I'll fix that now. -was sick yesterday when he made that quote- (Beethoven in fact went deaf, though it can be attributed to the fact that he was tired of hearing My Chemical Romance :P)

- Yeah, he did some of his most famous work while he could hardly hear it himself. Talk about genius.
This way, it also makes much more sense.

Rammstein lost their touch so to say. I can listen to them in stints, but their music leaves a bit much to be desired, which is why I say that Turmion Katilot does the "Rammstein sound" better than Rammstein. Their music is much more interesting to listen to than their German counterparts.
On a non-musical note, I notice you're from the St Louis area as well. ^_^
