In my city, there won't be any fireworks, firecrackers, or any Halloween explosion stuff. This is because (according to a friend of mine) someone last year, blew up his face when lighting one of the firecrackers. And also, there were a lot of mischief going around. For example, last year, someone lit a firecracker and placed it in my uncle's mailbox. And he was really mad about that, and had to replace it. So, this year there won't be any fireworks for Halloween, unless you get a license from the fire department to use fireworks.
- So, has this happened in your city? If so, what are you doing about that?
- If that hasn't happened, let's pretend that it did, what are you doing about that?
For me, I never used any fireworks, so it would make no differences to me on Halloween night.

I don't think he died. Maybe got some serious scars.
(*think* Maybe I used the wrong word. ^^" Oh well.)
When I was in elementary school, just before Halloween,
the fire department always showed us that we needed to
be careful when using fireworks. There was a slide show,
and people who misused them, had gotten really bad scars.
So, I guess his scars would look like those in the pictures.
@ Sagitar: Aww... maybe next year, you guys will
have some Halloween activity. ^^

Fireworks for Halloween? I've never seen people use fireworks for Halloween here, just for the Fourth of July. But during 4th of July some rockets are illegal, those kinds the fly and can land on roofs and burn houses down. Well, since I don't use fireworks for Halloween, it wouldn't really make a difference.
He blew off his face? Oww... I hope he's okay... or alive...

That is pretty terrible. :(
But in all honesty...I never did fireworks or firecrackers for halloween.
Just the 4th of July...But that really sucks...I hope he is okay...or rather alive as Deadly Mango Kitty said.

This would never happen where I live because fireworks are banned except for the Forth of July unless you have a license. So the only time people have fireworks is around the Forth.
I've never heard of Fireworks for Halloween. That's kinda strange. People around here are big on haunted houses, haunted corn mazes, haunted hay rides, lantern tours at the battlefield and a haunted cavern.

Yeah, we had fireworks for Halloween! ^^
Well... that was when one of the teachers
at my elementary school hosted it. But
since he passed away, there hasn't been
a firework show.
Should I change that to firecrackers then?
None of my friends uses it, so I didn't know
what to call it.

I don't like fireworks anyway, loud noises make me frowny. So if they banned them here I'd be happy :D
I'm more than happy to watch firework displays on TV with the sound muted.
Besides I worry something chronic when it's someone I love who's setting off the fireworks. I can deal with annonymous people blowing their hands off and damaging themselves, but if it happened to one of my people, then I'd not deal with it very well. ...especially if I was out there cheering them on. I'd feel responsible if something bad happened. So I avoid it.

We don't have fireworks around here for Halloween either. I'm sure a few people do it, but I've never heard or seen it.
If it happened in my town and they banned them, I'd be a bit annoyed. The person who got a firecracker to blow up in his face was either one of two things: unlucky or an idiot. Maybe the firework malfunctioned or something and it exploded and hurt him. That doesn't happen extremely often so I don't see the point of living in fear. As for the second one, if he held the firework knowing it was about to going to blow up in his face, then he wasn't the smartest person in the world. I'd be disappointed that an idiot ruined the fun for everyone else. As for what I'd actually do about it, probably nothing. I like fireworks but not that much. As long as they don't take them away for the Fourth, I'll be fine.

People set firework for Halloween?
Isn't the night supposed to be dark... not bright with beautiful spectacular in the sky!
But yea, I live in Florida where's it is really dry in the summer and for Independence Day July 4th, we're not allowed to do fireworks in our community now. Heard it was the same with a lot of people. T_T I like sparklers though! We're too scared of the HOA to try lighting them...

We have fireworks on the 5th of November, Guy Fawkes Night/Bonfire Night.
Conveniently that's right by my birthday (2nd Nov) So I used to get birthday fireworks.
If they banned them I would be very upset. Although I know alot of peoples pets get upset by them. My bf's dog gets the shakes.
I think people should be educated about them more.
Year before last I was at a fair and someone released one into the crowd from a ride. It hit a babies pram. Luckily it ricocheted off into the back of a man who was wearing a huge jacket. No one was hurt.

Nah, we don't do much for holidays here. Ever...it's rather sad. The biggest thing is Jesus-fest (I go for the free candy and to laugh at the people that yell at me because they know I'm an atheist).
In my grandma's town, they banned fireworks because someone blew their hand off or something. Idiots lit fireworks in the wind. But the neighboring town has them, and since all the towns are like 5 blocks wide, it doesn't really matter.

But I'd say it's a good thing.
Firecrackers are unneeded. XD

HALLOWEEN FIREWORKS?!
Awww, we've never had those here.
I live in California and un-liscensed fireworks and such are illegal here anyway.
We've never even had liscensed fireworks shows for Halloween here either, now that I think of it.
How sad, I feel kinda deprived now. D;
Oh well, I feel really bad for people who are just now starting to celebrate Halloween where they live.

We don’t have fireworks on Halloween, thankfully. There’s enough crap that people do that is stupid around here without all that. We had some kid that was just on our front porch trying to smash our pumpkins a few minutes ago that I chased off and fired a starter pistol at. Sure scared the crap out of them, that’s for sure.

Yeah, I'm always afraid that I'll burn someone or drop it and light my yard on fire. It almost happened once. And it was in a field of dry grass. Not a good idea.

I think fireworks are only supposed to be legal on certain days in my state, but a lot of people seem to ignore that.
But I don't associate Halloween with fireworks.

I don't think we've ever had fireworks during Halloween here.
Where I live the malls in the city put on events. You gcan go trick or treating to the stores, play games, haunted houses and such. The mall by my house is setting up a haunted pirate ship I think.
For as long as I can remember we've always had to have special permits to have fireworks, I don't think stores are even legally allowed to sell them. You can usually find them for sale in China Town, even if they aren't suppose to sell them.
