Yeah, I can understand their motives, but it does seem kind of selfish to take opportunities away from other people. There are some items that I might be interested in except for the fact that they cost way too much. It helps me to pretend that those items don't exist or they'd look terrible on my avatar.

Indeed. Like there's an item I've been eyeing, but the person is super rich. They still want far more then what the item is worth. To me that's just greed and it's unnecessary.
