Thanks, Liz. I'm keeping my iPod near me in case he texts me. He said when it first happened he described it as almost feeling like he got shot in the side. He said it was just unbelievably painful. Right now he says it's bearable, but he's hobbling around.

He just made a quick trip up to the library, which I'm not expecting to be open. I think he is coming straight back, though.

Might be safe for him to see a doctor even if it gets to feeling a lot better. ;_; Pains like that are scary.

Exactly...Right now he says he is ok. I told him if the pain gets worse, like it was at first, to let me know and we'll go up to the ER. I'll also give my manager a heads up in case I have to leave work early because of it.

Yeah. Also, hiding the pains doesn't mean you're more of a tough guy than letting people know you're hurt. That always seems to be a common trait of guys. They try to hide the fact they're hurting so they don't look weak.

Oh no...I don't think he would do it to be manly. He'd do it to keep me from worrying. He's done it a few times when he was having kidney stone issues as he knew there wasn't much that could be done and didn't want me to worry about him.

Well, is he good at hiding pain? Or can you read him like a book?
I try to hide most aches I get but my boyfriend can tell when I'm hurting. :(

Usually I can tell something is up, but he still will try to dismiss it and say don't worry about it.

It's sweet that he doesn't want you to worry about him.

Yes, but at the same time I would like to know as he can be really stubborn and sometimes needs me to give him a swift kick in the butt to do something about it.

Yeah, that is one downfall to trying to hide the pain. It can make you worry more instead of less.

Gotta love men...eh? I don't know what I'd do without him. Even when he's not working and bringing in money, I still enjoy being with him and his company. Much more than living with my parents. I really don't want to do that again. >_>

If you think it could be serious, push him to the ER. It's always better to be safe than sorry. Try and convince him if his pain levels are still high. :/

Yeah, money is nice but the company is nicer. I tell my boyfriend all the time that I rather have just enough money to cover bills and have him home than for extra money and no time with him.

Well right now I'm working. I think they borked the servers as it doesn't seem right tonight.

BTW, when I asked hubby about the pain threshold with a 1-10 index he said right now a 2, but a 4 earlier. We're just keeping an eye on it. I told him numerous times if it gets bad to get his butt to the ER.

That's what I'm hoping too. So far, so good. He's actually getting up to cook and fold laundry. Before he's like be happy if I just get the dishes done as it is painful to even stand up. (Yet he says the pain is a 4...)

Do you think he's fibbing?

*shrugs* It's hard to tell...He seems OK now. Maybe it is, but he was doing a mighty fine job of hobbling and making it look real.
