hummy, it doesn't work like that when organizations do it out of their own money without grants. Or when non-profits do it and suddenly have no money, sadly. It's not a case of a bigwig offering it. :(

Yue, you said "sets" so I thought you had that in mind. :) I think you need to find another seller. Sorry!

Well you are the only seller really and two sets is a tad much for Dove Wings. As a set at your current going rate would get me it for one set and maybe less then 1k gold.

Like 6k a set at least Chi. If you go by the high price that is. I can get 5k for them at least as people really like these ones, as they have good poses in them and the Mad Monk has the background with it.

i understand that, but it should work like that.
CEO's get bonuses of obsene amounts even when the company is going bankrupt.
just seems like people who are trying to do all the right things,
and get into professions that mean something should get a break.

Aya is selling them for 4k a set, so I think I'll go by that until it changes. Like I said, I think you should find another seller. You're unhappy with my prices, and I'm happy with my prices. Someone will put Dove Wings up for less than 8k anyway. ;)
@hummy
Yep, you got it. There is also something unsettling with congress members getting their salary for life. Imagine how much money that's been over the decades. And for doing nothing (later on in life, I mean).

Yeah, the salary that congress members make and those big wigs makes me sad. And irks me when a company lays off half of their staff, yet can afford to up the bonus of the higher ups.

It's been said that no matter how much money a person accumulates, they will always feel poor. I can't imagine feeling poor with hundreds of thousands, but I guess I'll never know, hey?

oh, man.
don't get me started about congress,
or politicians in geners.
people living on welfare,
food stamps and paycheck to paycheck.
if they can even find a job.
can you imagine what that money could do for average people?
or the debt we have as a country?
i would love to see people do public service jobs because they love America.
or pay them what our military receives!
yeah, baby, there would be no problem agreeing on things if you paycheck depended on it!

It's only going to get harder for people in the upcoming months. Especially where welfare and health care are concerned. Reform is needed there, though, at least in my state. The system is set up so that people become dependent on it. The maximum you can receive is just sliiiiiightly under what you need to survive. I suppose I should clarify... that by survival I do mean the basics to live, and no extra anythings.
A lot of people here have required participation "hours" to receive their benefits, depending on their situation. However if they bring in more than, say, $1,000 a month (again it varies to each family's situation!) they lose ALL benefits. So why would any person want to risk losing that and let their family go without?
I think more programs should be geared toward making TANF truly what it's meant to be--temporary, for when families need help. It happens. But it's not meant to last forever.
The health care issue makes me sick to my stomach, and I don't have much soap left in my box. ;)

We had to rely on some aid when my youngest was first born. I forget how it's set up though I know you can only make so much and have so much in the form of property. Will say that I hated relying on government assistance and was glad when they told us that we earned too much. I do think that with how it's set up, it enables people that either are too lazy or think that they are owed something.
And something that really irks me is when people will lie about living arrangements or even their mental health just to get free help. :( It takes away from those who truly need it.

Yep...faking it is another component of reform that's needed. I've seen friends manipulate the system to get more money. A mother and father "separate", and the father then has child support to give, and the mother can get assistance. Yet the father really lives with them, so they get the benefits and the child support isn't "lost", if that makes sense. It's still in that household's income.
We're on assistance right now, and I will be happy to get off from it. We went on when the baby was born. We both work part time. This summer we'll be able to get off from it now that the baby is older, ready for daycare, and I'm itching to get a better job. I think I'll find work as a Behavioral Health Professional until graduation. Fingers crossed the baby enjoys daycare, but I'm finding myself more believing she'll love it. Her play dates have proven to me she's ready to actually play with other children now, rather than playing side-by-side. The real interaction is finally there. :)
Er, tangent, sorry. But yes. Benefits. We get under $1,000 a month total, and free health care right now. We supplement with our jobs and student loans when needed. Our food bills are astronomical, due to the rising prices here, and due to food allergies/intolerance issues.

Yeah, that had happened with one of Wesley's brothers. They had thought to tell the Health Dept. that they were separate just to get food stamps and free health care. I'm not sure if he had to pay child support or if they are still on it, but it irked me to think that a family who earns more than us could have no issue in lying to get extra money. :(
It's good that she enjoys being around other kids. :) Daycare is a good option, I think. Only thing you might need to keep a look out for is germs. x.x Before my boys started Head Start, they rarely got sick. But since then, they tend to catch everything. I think it's really just their immune system needing to be built up more.
No worries. xD Everyone is allowed to have a tangent. I hate how the price of food is going up. :( And one thing I never realized until Wesley's step-dad and brother had moved out was how expensive it was to feed them. The grocery bill would normally be around $700 a month for six people. Now with it just being the four of us, it's never more than $400 a month. And that is if we cave in and snack food.

The sickness is my #1 worry. She rarely gets sick now. She's still breastfeeding, so hopefully that helps a little along the way. :)
I'd say our grocery bill is around $600 a month. Our bread is $5 a loaf due to it needing to be gluten-free. We (well, Terra and I) eat a lot of eggs and lean meats with fruits and veg, and the latter is rising as well. I've read a couple articles slamming our main grocery chain lately. They have no competition, and as such they are raising prices at will. You can get the same item often times $2 cheaper at WalMart or the same grocery chain in the state below us.

Well they do say that breastfeeding is a good thing to do. I'm sure it will help. Another thing that I think would help is if parents could find a way to keep their kids home if they are sick. :( I've heard of an urgent care type place that also doubles as a daycare around here. Which I think there should be more of.
Yikes, that is one thing about a grocery chain having a monopoly in an area. They can raise prices without too much worry. :(

I suppose I need to get my rear in gear. Gotta get ready for tonight's class. He gave us some readings and things to look over before we go to our first session. It's time I get back into the mind frame of it all. Just don't wanna! :P
