Yep. A little over an hour to go. I'm feeling pretty miserable. I tried to bring it up with one of the managers in the group who just told me to deal with it, then told my manager who said just deal with it. Aaron says 'deal with it'. I don't think anyone honestly gives a shit.

Aaron got the kids this weekend. I knew I wasn't going to win that battle, so I didn't try to fight it...hard. I really don't feel like doing much of anything at all this weekend. Feeling fairly depressed.

Are they there now or starting tomorrow? Can he do the bulk of entertaining, or is a lot of it on you anyway due to his work schedule?

They are here now. Aaron leaves for work in 45mins. I have told him to get the kids ready for bed. 10pm is too late to get into anything, and to be honest I am not in the mood or feeling well tonight.

He's got a 3 day weekend, and so do I. His mom is coming over early afternoon, so he will likely get 5 hours of sleep then have to wake up to spend time with her. Then we will be going over to our friend's house for the evening until late. Tomorrow it will just be a slow pace, lay around the house kind of day....and the kids go back at 4pm back to their mom's.

Aaron was talking about going to her marching band thing on Monday, but I'm like I really don't want to go...It's 5 minutes long and it costs $30 in gas to get there and back.

The financial aspect is tight for sure. Yet as a kid I'd be disappointed to not have my parents there, so it's a double bind. Is there a way he can go and you cannot, since it sounds like you need to recharge your batteries once off work?

I think he's not going, not unless his mom pays the $30 in gas to do it, which we highly doubt she will. Pam will be disappointed, I'm sure, but she'll get over it. We go to her concerts they have twice a year, and we try to make it to the bigger of the two parades...We try.

Me either.

That being said...today has been better for me. I don't know if it is the content being covered or if it's just me changing my attitude towards the whole thing. Either way I'm going to get through this.

Awesome. :)

We're going away for the weekend beginning early Friday morning. The way things worked out interning, I had last Friday off and will have this Friday off as well due to cancellations and whatnot. Cannot wait. We're using one of our hotel vouchers (paid earlier in the year when we had more money) and spending the night Friday, then heading to friends' on Saturday. Cannot, cannot, cannot wait.

Ohhhhh I'm jealous. I could use a getaway...even if it was just to go up to my parent's house. It'll probably need to wait until Aaron is technically employed and gets vacation time. Seems like such a ways away. :(

Did Cole apply for that position yet? I thought you said something about turning in his application today?

Yep, he did apply. The person who was going to forward it to HR wasn't in. I'm not sure they'll be in tomorrow (sick), but we'll see! I'm hoping he gets an answer within a week or two. In the meantime it'll be good for him to apply for other jobs just for the sake of getting applications out there.

Oddly (or not oddly, come to think of it) the reason we're going Friday is because we know we're entering the land of "no time off until X amount of months in". I have just a few months left (less than three!!) before I officially graduate. We'll be back into the grind of full time work, moving up the ladder and whatnot.

I am going to reach out to my old place of work to see if they have anything for me to do in the interim of waiting for my licensing exams. I was guaranteed work, but depending on what they have available it may not be at my education level. I don't care so long as I do something and earn something while waiting the couple months until exams.

Goodluck!!

I will cross my fingers for both you and Cole.

I need to go wake hubby up and get him to bed. I need to go crash for the night too. I'm pretty darn tired.

Thanks. <3 I do hope in the next three months we're inching toward financial stability, or at least something.

Uuuugh my back is completely out this morning.

Well you're definitely on the right track!! The both of you finishing up your education will make it easier to find a decent job. Hopefully all the debt accrued in the past few years due to being in school doesn't cripple you too bad. I know typically student loans are a bit more forgiving and they won't start trying to take out until you find a job, and even then there are ways to push out payments if you're in a financially tough situation. Aaron still has some loans outstanding we've had to push out a few times due to tough times. Forbearance I believe it's called?

Hey hummy! :)

There's two types--forbearance and deferment. I think (not sure!) forbearance affects credit rating and deferment does not. I don't think it'll be too bad either way. Anyway. Where I have just two and a half months left, I'm going to start reaching out to employers and asking them questions, as well as contacting the state for a direct list of what counts as "direct service" with clients for my requirements. I'm eying a job at my awesome undergrad university, but I need to make sure it's realistic for me to do with the extra steps I have until I complete those additional 3000 hours.

I think in the long run having to do that wouldn't hurt too much...in all honesty I have never done a credit check on myself and I am scared to do so.

I have gotten some kind of bug or something. I was physically ill yesterday and last night my head felt like I was burning up, but the rest of me was cold. I'm feeling a little better today but not trying solids yet. I have what's left of my organic rice cooking in a pot and I'm going to have that and see how it goes. It's a blend of organic white and organic jasmine as I have just a little of each.

I use Creditkarma, which is awesome and free. It helps to know, plus they give you a simulator on how to boost it. :)

Mmm, rice sounds good. Oddly, I got sick during my last session today. I held it together but almost threw up during the last ten minutes. I came out of it and seem to be so-so right now. I'm hoping I do get better... I REALLY want to go out of town tomorrow. :(

Aaron seems to think it's mainly stress and anxiety causing mine...we'll see. I was running a fever last night for sure, and had chills. I felt pretty bad body aches. Aaron says if it was food poisoning I wouldn't of been able to get out of bed.

I'm just kind of in a depressed state and feel stuck. I'm not really happy how things have been playing out. We're getting by, but I'm not really enjoying life at the moment...

I can't pinpoint it exactly, but it feels as though things have been not enjoyable for a prolonged period of time. I rarely hear frustrations with Aaron and the kids. Sometimes, but rarely. The bulk of the stress and upset feelings has been with work. :/ What keeps you stuck in work you don't like? What part is most scary about pursuing something enjoyable?

Driving. Without a doubt that is the biggest fear of mine.

Then the second thing is trying to find something comparable pay wise. I don't think I would be able to find anything comparable to what I make now.

Are you wanting to eventually get through the fear? Your desire to someday work with kiddos would be more pay. (: Case management is more.
