Well, it's 9:45 and my grandparents (who I'm sharing a room with) are already in bed trying to sleep, so I guess I should do the same. <<,, I'm not at all tired though.

Apparently one of the guests at the hotel I work at, who's also a chef here, saw 3 people on the roof running down the fire escape. He says they were inside.

Now I'm scared they found a way inside after I locked all the exits. And am afraid I may be robbed.

But really? I'm dandy.

Okay. I work nights, from 11 pm to 7 am.
At night, only guests are allowed to be in the hotel.

Throw in 3 20 year old guys who shouldn't be there apparently running out through the fire exit. What do you get?

Yes. The chef is a worker and a guest, because he's not from around here. We took him from another hotel I believe because a chef was needed.

And no, I'm a night receptionist. I'm suppose to make sure the hotel is safe, and that no one is not in it that is not allowed.

But I had some sambuca and now I'm feeling fine. Oh the wonder alcohol works on nerves.

There are people who run across cities on roofs and do like extreme running or whatever. I think they are idiots for doing it at night. And ... just... where is their common sense?

Well, suppose they did get into the hotel. I'm the one with the cash register, and a key to the safe. They'd attack/force/threaten me to open it and give them money.

I hope they don't rob me. xD I only have 2 5 euro bills and 2 debit cards in my wallet. Not much since they can't really use the cards.

And I'm not. I'm the only one here at night.

And sambuca is an alcohol made from anise. I love anise. It tastes like really really really really strong licorice. :D

Well I haven't heard anything or seen anything since the chef mentioned it, so I hope it was a one time thing. Or that I locked all the doors properly and they couldn't get in.

And actually, I don't like Jagermeister. I tried some, but it has a horrible after taste.
And what I like about sambuca is the bite that it has when you swallow it, like a stinging sensation almost.

Hopefully they knock themselves out trying to get in.

It really isn't that big of a deal, Hata...You're not missing much. I've gotten past my younger stage where it was fun to get a little sloshed. Now it's just every now and again I'll have a drink. Yes, one drink. Just to loosen me up a little.

I like it for the flavor, not for the loosening up.

It depends why I do it.

Peer pressure sometimes. Subliminal peer pressure. Like when you go out with friends and you have to drink because you're out with friends. They'll look at you weird if you get a cola.

Or because I like the taste. Margaritas are really yummy, and in the summer time FTW.
Although I don't necessarily need an alcoholic one, a virgin margarita is just as good.

Or to loosen up. Sometimes when I'm stressed, or worrying about different things, the best remedy is a bit of alcohol. It really does loosen you up.

I look at people funny when they go " I can't wait till I can drink". I ask them why and they just go on about parties and fun with alcohol... I don't see it...

See, that's the problem. If you're going to down wine, you need to down white wine. Red wine is too strong for that.

I don't drink a lot, but if I'm going out with friends I will.
Sometimes it's nice to just let loose and have fun. Alcohol can be one of the best ice breakers.
