Sorry for not responding sooner, Chi. The weekend has been a bit hectic as we had both kids over. Finally they're back at their mom's and I'm picking up the housecleaning and chores afterward. I'm nearly caught up on laundry. ^_^

What happened is he tipped over in a chair backwards and landed on his arm which has the bone cyst. They did xrays and found the cyst had grown since last xrayed and apparently the doctor wanted it operated to remove the cyst. They did a bone graph and as far as my understanding the pins in his arm are to keep the bone and graph in place until it's healed. He gets it off within a month, and gets to go back to school. Right now he can't go because he has to be careful of not having it bumped as it still is healing. He's a diligent little guy though and both Aaron and I had to tell him numerous times to put away his play weapons and armor and do something less physical like building with legos. Felt kinda bad as his little buddy Mally, who lives in the neighborhood is soooo excited to see him everytime he comes over. His mom has told me he literally asks first thing on the day if my step son is over our house. He's such a cutie!

Yep Chi, so far the skin around the pins looks fine and has been kept up. I think he has a little less than a month before his mom takes him to the doctors to have it removed. I don't know the details on it though as she pretty much keeps us in the dark as far as that's concerned.

Speaking of which, she looked extremely pissed off Sunday when we dropped them off. I have the image of her face burned in my mind and it's scaring me just thinking of it. :XP

I'm wondering how busy I'm going to be once I do start school...I'm dead excited to go back. I'm going to get my certificate for Medical Assistant, then perhaps start knocking off some classes for the associates in nursing if I can get accepted. There's a 3 year waiting period I'm told, but the admissions lady said to take the prereq. human phys course and then I can apply right then and there, and in the 3 years time do my other classes for the associates. I'll have to work and go to school on the side, so I should have plenty of time.

I feel happy for you, Izumi. :) it's good to see you so happy and excited. xD

That's actually an oddly complicated question. I'll definitely be paid something, but I don't know how much or by who. <<,, I originally pitched the magazine through my contract job, and the editor asked me to write the article. So, I imagine I'll either be paid by my contract job or by the magazine, but it seems unethical to be paid by both. I hadn't really thought about it before. XD

Hopefully it's enough to have been worthwhile. :yes:
