I'm doing internshippy stuff right now. I have a meeting for Research Methods in 2 more hours, and already I want a nap. *zonks*

Oh, blah. The potential S roommate decided to go with a place only five minutes from where she's going to work, so we're back to square one. I'm just glad that blog's written. Now I need to figure out what I'm writing for next Monday.

That's not good. Was the potential roommate S the one whose first language isn't English and will apparently steal/kill/rape/murder you both according to the other roomie?

As you can tell, I'm a tad cynical today. ;_; I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm miserable and for no good reason either.

Yes, she was. She said she was still interested on Sunday and asked for more information about moving in, and then today said she'd been offered another place.

Funny story. XD So, Roommate D bought these boxes from a hardware store (I, as you may recall, got all of mine for free from a liquor store). So, we were finally getting rid of all the trash and recyclables from unpacking last Sunday, and she decided she was going to keep those boxes since they were quite nice and she paid for them.

Me: "Well, we need to get them out of the hallway. Why don't you break them down and put them in the basement?"

She agrees and I finish taking stuff outside. I come back in and am talking, and then I stop midsentence and say, "Are you... cutting the boxes?" She had these big scissors out and was cutting right down the corner of the box.

Her: "Yeah. Isn't this how you break them down?"

Me: "Not if you want to use them again."

Her: "I figured I could just tape it back up."

Me: Pause. Breath. "All you need to do is take the tape off the bottom and fold them up." I demonstrate. "Remember, this is what it was like before you bought them and taped them up."

She looks on sullenly. I notice another piece of cardboard. "Did you... cut this off of the box?"

Her: "I didn't mean to. It just came off."

I have no idea what she was thinking. She left the bottom taped, cut down the corners of all four sides, and then folded it, with the taped bottom still completely intact.

Congrats at making me laugh. Out loud. In public. xD

What a long day yesterday. Glad today's fun. I'm at work but then my sister and I are taking Mom out for her birthday. My group and I put in enough time last night so that we don't have to meet tonight.
