We would do that too, but with him claiming his son on his taxes he has to send a copy of his divorce decree with it and well I don't think there's a way to do that online...correct me if I'm wrong. Otherwise, I'd file online in a heartbeat.

I've got everything typed up and ready for him to go, he just needs to get the copy of his divorce and get the postage. We're very happy with the return. It will leave more than plenty to pay off the 1k for the house as promised, plus I'll be able to pay off my credit card once and for all so they can stop bothering me about it.

I haven't even started our state taxes yet...I will get those underway shortly but right now I'm kinda taking a breather. I need to get my homework done for class tomorrow, and on Thursday I will have my final paper due so probably this weekend (unless I really feel like diving in) will be when I finish that up.

Ohh and Aaron and I preordered Pokemon HG and SS. That's our little treat...Hopefully we can either put a little more aside out of his paycheck this pay period or either my released grant or return will help cover that. I've SO been looking forward to it! Especially the Pokewalker that comes with it!!

Any time I've prepared online/filed electronically and had forms that needed to physically go to the IRS, they just give you a form to print out, sign, and mail to the address they give you along with whatever items they require. It still saves the shit-ton of hassle that is involved in doing the worksheets and forms yourself. *shrug*

To each their own, I reckon.

I have junk to read for class, and I dun wanna. I'm not going to have the gumption to go to my Wednesday evening class, but I intend on it. Hopefully hubby will be able to tag along. I'm pretty useless after having a metric ton of blood taken from my body. xD

Ohh really?! I thought they'd want an electronic copy of my W-2...(I can pull one up easy on ADP website, and the small loan he took on his 401k - I can get the form needed for that to claim it on my taxes online...)

I might try that next year. I've gotten everything prepped now though so I'll just snail mail it this time and maybe next time I'll just electronically file. I type up all my forms and have Aaron double check my math and spot check the final copy for errors. (I look over it too, but since I've spent awhile staring at it it starts looking all pretty much the same after awhile. :P)

It didn't take too long to do..just had to sit down and grind it out.

I'm rather concerned my mozzarella is no longer good, and I'm not sure if I should eat the pizza I made.

Math homework done!! It really pissed me off. Especially since the book had an answer wrong. -4 to the second power is no way in hell -16. And no it wasn't written as -(4)^2. Also, I must ask how the hell they figure the answer on that absolute value. I did absolute value waaay back in high school, and I remember it having two answers...this problem is like 3 sets of absolute value over 3 and I'm like there isn't any f***ing way that's possible...well it could be but no way THIS class would be asking me to do that.

I'm asking her tomorrow, as I'm stumped on that one problem. It was only the one, but still I showed my husband who knows basic trig and he looked at me and was like you know that makes no sense, but I *never* see absolute value problems ANYWAYS.

But wasted pizza!! :cries: Was it moldy? Mozzarella will turn a nice shade of green if it's going, Cami.

Yes cursed math!! *hiss growl snort*

I did check all my answers, and while I did it my husband was in the background trying to throw me off by going "See spot. See spot run." (Doing algebra and a lot of unknown variables...) I told him to shut the hell up and he burst out laughing. I told him I'd rather do DISHES than math homework, and he had a huge grin on his face. (He loves math...I hate math, but I get this odd enjoyment out of tax returns.)

Well, it's a solid chunk of mozzarella, not the shredded stuff. It seemed fine when I was cutting it and putting it on the pizza, but then I tasted a piece and it didn't taste right. I'd already put the pizza all together, though, so I went ahead and stuck it in the oven. Then I was looking at the wrapping, and it said, "Sell by Jan 02, 2010."

The first few bites of the pizza tasted fine, but then I bit into a piece of mozzarella that tasted wrong, so I ended up taking most of the cheese off and just eating the rest of the ingredients. Since it was solid mozzarella, not shredded, that was easy enough to do.

House was good tonight. I'm just checking e-mail, then I'm off to bed. Work in the morning. And man, it says 4 degrees for tomorrow morning. :gonk: Too cold.

I missed steel! ):

Cami - The only thing about the sell by dates is they aren't really an accurate go by when trying to determine if the product is still 'good'. The best way to see if something is good is to just try it yourself, which you did. My dad works at a grocery store and is constantly bringing out of date stuff home and eating it...and 2-3 weeks isn't something he normally blinks about. O_o Well depending on the item in question...He's proudly told me that yogurts are still good at that point.

Yogurt is good virtually indefinitely because it already has active cultures in it.

In the life span of a cheese, two weeks is practically a heartbeat, so I'd say that it was probably all in your head. :)

Yeah, coffee had crossed my mind, too. Maybe I'll whip up some espresso after the wife and inherited child leave for work/school.

I have decaf tea and peanut butter on rice cakes. It's soothing.

Mmm, my sister's training got put back to March. If she can get a friend (depends on the friend's work) from our town to go back down to Florida with her, she'll be up here pretty soon. If she can't, she'll more than likely come at the end of February. So it seems like theoretically she can come now but she's waiting on the friend? Mom said she'd rather just go down, so who knows.

I dunno if you'll see this or not Cole, but I'm just gonna grab him from school instead of Aunt Stella's later. I wanna play Mario Sunshine with him. Or at least watch/engage. :XD

Izumi: Yeah, I regularly eat things shortly after the sell by date (my roommate absolutely will not. She treats the sell-by date as the use-by date). But an entire month later for cheese seems extreme.

I like buying things on quicksale. Those are foods that have reached their sell-by date that are being sold for half price.

Well math is done. Now onto homework for English, and English. Gosh it felt like college started off at a nice pace, and now we've kinda took a nosedive. Seems like there's ALWAYS something due at the beginning of class. I'm working on rough draft essay #2, and at home I need to do some tweaking for my final revise for Essay #1. I have the usual lesson's worth of homework, and I also have Psych reading to do. :gonk:

I'm also having a 4th class start this coming monday, so that'll be interesting to see how that slots into everything else. :P

The only class I'm really not enjoying much is math. I mean it's ok, and it feels good that people are actually coming to me for help or to discuss things as they obviously think I know what I'm doing. (Which for the most part I do, it's just...not my favorite subject by any stretch of the imagination...)

Anyways onto homework...and lunch!

Just this one, thank god. One of the reasons why it was so appealing to me is the fact that it didn't require any higher math. I really don't like it. I love the calculator, and I'm keeping it once class is through, but it'll be probably just used as a calculator for taxes and other really simple problems. Maybe, just maybe, if my step kids need it in high school I will lend it to them. Actually if they're living at their mom's I don't think I would be OK with that. I've got a real problem sending anything of any value to that woman's house...I'm always afraid it'll be the last time I'll see it.
