If this is a "trend", it may die out. I don't know how I feel about it. I don't think it's in danger anytime soon either way. :)

That's just it. I'd wager that the trend is moving in the opposite direction. From traditional discussion forums to social networking, not the other way around.

Regardless, it's not like it will happen overnight.

Yeah, but the people in the real word are really scary...Full of trolls....crazy democrats and republicans.....spammers, scammers, etc. You name it.

People everywhere are really scary, online or off. The Internet is no exception. o.o

I'd venture that the internet is probably MORE full of those types. Particularly since the internet is made up of people. :)

I mean that generally there are a lot of odd people online...like when you read an article online on yahoo....have you read the comments that people leave behind? o.O

I'm just saying that there isn't any of that kind of stuff on mene.

I'm jaded since I've heard people say comments in real life like they do online. (And I agree with you, some of the commentary on articles, Yahoo especially is downright RIDICULOUS. It frustrates me beyond belief. :()

You also have to consider that Menewsha has rules and regulations and a group of people to enforce that. If you go on Gaia you see similar ridiculous commentary that Yahoo articles have. Mene is the way Mene is in part due to the rules of the community. They've tried to make it so this IS a decent place to go socialize online. :3
