Yepyep. We're going to bake later. I'm going back and forth as to whether I want to make my bundt cake tonight or tomorrow with the pies instead. Pie dough is ready to go, and pecan pie and pumpkin pie take very little time to prepare.

But where it's gluten-free I'm thinking the cake should be made tomorrow afternoon so it's fresh. That, and I don't trust myself to keep out of it. >.>

i have to make the sauce today so i can make the lasagna tomorrow.
garlic bread is all ready but to bake it while the lasagna cooks.
i want to make the chocolate pudding pie today,
but like you, i'm not sure i can stay out of it!

We have fudge and cathedral windows all ready, and sugar cookie dough chilling. It's a new recipe for the cookies, so we'll taste test and then my husband (if they're good!) will make another batch.

I'm doing hams tomorrow, too. Gotta plan all the oven usage out. @[email protected]

I'd share if I could!

My sister isn't flying in 'till the 25th, so the 24th will just be my husband, kiddo and me opening some of her gifts. Then on the 25th I'm glazing/baking hams and making mashed potatoes, squash and creamed spinach for sides. We'll have pecan pie, pumpkin pie, sugar cookies, cathedral windows, peanut butter and chocolate two-layer fudge, citrus bundt cake with white chocolate ganache... and appetizers like homemade cheese spreads, hot wings (making them myself!), ham and cream cheese roll-ups, mexican caviar with tortilla chips...

Tons o' food. XD

i make gound beef browned with onion and garlic and add homemade baked beans.
i'm not sure what the name of it is.
something like boston baked beans?
it's very good and leftover cold is the best.

My mom is doing the baked beans. She uses salt pork in hers, but it's the meaty kind. Her beans are quite sweet, too.

The baby dropped a thick cutting board on the tip of my big toe. T____T

I've not done much. Just fudge. :lol: The worst of it comes on the 25th.

I'm going to make icing and frost some cookies, but my husband baked those! They came out pretty good.

I think the best advice I can give regarding cooking is that good food takes time. Not hours, but time. Time to season, taste, season again when applicable... xD

I don't do laborious meals though. I make things that I can either put in the oven for hours and walk away, or spend half an hour constantly tending it. Usually. *lazy*

That being said, time to clean up the kitchen. It's disastrous!
